I am not one for invasive sales associates, but zero effort was made at this store. I asked two associates at the counter whether they had other bras in the same size and style (different pattern). It was like crickets. They did not show me any other options or even point me to where they were. At that point I knew more about them than they did. I also asked if they had a pair of pants in the same size and waistband but a wider leg. Again, they had no clue what they carried and what they didn't. These were basic black pants that they always carry, not a weird line or style. I gathered up the things I had planned on buying, and their cash register system was down. No apologies. I asked if they had any coupons. They didn't know. The entire experience was frustrating because it was quite obvious they did not want to be there. I left the store without purchasing anything and bought what I wanted online.

So I decided to go help the old man get there since kohls employees apparently lack any sentimental skills. Other than that... I'd rather go midweek when they aren't so busy, but as the holiday's are approaching and the season is changing, they're getting busier. I will admit, I go here once a week. I would give it all 5 stars if the music wasn't so LOUD. It's ridiculously loud. The staff is very friendly, they always offer to help find scents or product. The cashier is the same way, they ask if you have coupons (usually). It does suck when a customer is like "Oh, I forgot I can get one more item!" Be very aware of where price stickers are located! We bought some photo frames here and never will again. The stickers have such a sticky glue it's impossible to get them off and still be able to use the frame without outside help. We had to use a razor to remove it from some surfaces, Goo Gone to remove the stickiness, glass cleaner to clean the glass up and that's not to mention the paint the stickers ripped off of some of them upon removal. You're also not allowed to take a cart outside the store, so plan on carrying everything with you. The products they do have can range wildly. The items we got that were seasonal, specialty foods and random other things were all great. Again, be aware of tag placement. Although it's called "Dress for Less" I never really found any clothing of interest. The person who checked us out on both of our visits was very nice and polite. It is a newer store, so everything is nice and shiny for now. I did find for many things I preferred Marshall's next door, but for some really unique pieces, interesting food items which can come at a great discount, and some specialty items...it's worth checking out Ross.

This Marshall's didn't seem to have as much as the TJ Maxx that's in Waterloo. But I didn't think that the items were merchandised very crisply and it was very organized. The leadership in the store obviously takes great care in the appearance of their store. Now with a store like this that operates off of overstock merchandise you can't count on the same things being available all the time. So when I was looking through the women's clothing I was having a hard time finding items in my size. If I were a size extra small or small I would've had it made. I only ended up with a shirt for my son. Nothing else really caught my eye. I wasn't very impressed by the staff of the store though. I walked past a few employees and nobody greeted me smiled or made eye contact. When I walked up to the register the cashier me I contact with me but turned and continue to speak with her manager. It was at least 30 seconds before she finally walk to the register and told me she could help me there. If the store hadn't been so well organized and attractive from a merchandising standpoint I would've probably rated it a three.
