This was on a Sunday, and both the lot and store were busy as an angry beehive. It took me maybe 20 minutes to get gas due to the lines and waiting...and some waiting because some people parked at the pump and then went inside to "shop first" as the gas at Buc-ee's is pay-at pump only. Afterwards, I parked in a normal space and went inside to peruse the store. After some fun window shopping through the clothing, home goods, etc. I purchased some food. My objective was to spend my gift card, and I already knew that I wanted to get some of that famous brisket. I ended up with brisket, some spicy garlic jerky and a beverage from the cooler section. I'm still amazed that I can easily spend 1.5-2 hours in a gas station. I still enjoy perusing through a Buc-ee's and hope the novelty never wears off. Maybe next time, I'll try the car wash just to see how it compares to my local station. I stay stop by and see for yourself, but I am clearly biased.

I stopped in to fuel the Jeep Wrangler with 93 Octane, I never like the price of premium gasoline but it's a competitive price for the area especially being this town is a little off the beaten path compared to where I live. I had no reason to go inside but it's appears to be one of the few go to spots for the locals to grab odds and ends, and it looks like can beer is one of those necessities round here. Being it's located at a crossroads getting in and out of here is a breeze, but look both ways folks seem to be in a hurry along this route and the "do not pass" signs and double yellow lines don't appears to be enough to convince some to practice patience...

I was in the…read morearea a few months ago and noticed that behind this store they installed a diesel fueling island for big rigs and a truck parking lot, but unlike the pumps at a truck stop they actually allow Big Rigs / RVs etc. to pay at the pump without having to go inside just as you would when pumping gas in front of the store which is very convenient. This is the option I used so I can't speak for the interior of the store or the staff. Diesel Fuel Island - this fueling island was unkept and filthy. The concrete surface was covered in spilt fuel, the pumps are in poor repair and the receipt dispenser didn't work, the windshield washing stations were dry there were no squeegees, no paper towels or hand sanitizer which you will definitely need if you touch anything here. Although this fuel island is totally neglected the convenience of paying at the pump for "high flow" fuel dispensing gets them just an "okay" rating of three stars, as nasty as this fuel island was I'd stop again because of the convenience but I would come better prepared...

I had plenty of time to observe the customers as I sat and waited for my turn at the pump. I'm assuming, but as the customers exited the store some were packing their cigarettes against the palm of their hands, some most had a bag of ice and a 12 pack of beer, one guy was chewing on a Slim Jim wrapper like he hadn't eaten in a week. Hey I'm not judging, I just loved that I had the opportunity to people watch at 4:30 PM on a Tuesday afternoon while waiting to fill-up. I didn't go inside like most, I chose to pay at the pump and get on my way so I can't speak of the staff or the interior of the store.
