their gas prices are $.40 higher than any other gas stations in the area. What a rip off.

On Friday, 4/17/2026, I brought my 2011 Infiniti M37 in for an oil change. During the service, the…read moretechnician recommended replacing my air filters. He initially brought out a rectangular filter that clearly didn't fit, followed by a second option that was approximately the correct size but significantly thinner and flimsier than the filter he removed. He proceeded to install the two flimsy filters, discarding my old ones, and charged me $25 apiece ($34.99 each less a $10 coupon for each). About two hours later, while driving home, my car suddenly went into limp mode (maxing out at 12 mph) and the check engine light came on. This was incredibly distressing. I managed to limp the car to a gas station and immediately suspected the ill-fitting air filters were to blame. Because the flimsy filters did not seat properly in the cradle, particulate matter bypassed the filter and coated my Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors, triggering limp mode. I was able to limp the car home and confirmed the issue with an OBD2 scanner. Fortunately, I am fairly handy. I went to AutoZone and purchased the correct filters that firmly press into the housing and create a tight seal, along with MAF sensor cleaner. After cleaning both sensors and installing the proper filters, the check engine light and codes cleared. Had I not been able to diagnose and fix this myself, I would have had the car towed to a service center and Take 5 would be looking at a reimbursement request for hundreds of dollars in towing and diagnostic fees. On Saturday, I returned to the Take 5 location with the improper filters placed in the STP filter boxes. I showed the technician and the duty manager the difference in fit, explaining how a loose filter allows particulates to bypass the system. I reinstalled the improper sized filter and showed the tech how it loosely fit in the air box and then showed how the proper filter fit snug in the box, held in place by the angled cradle pressing against the angled sides of the filter. The tech initially stated that the filters he installed were the ones called for by the computer; however, when he installed them I watched him try two different size filters to see which fit better. Clearly, if he had the right filter he would not have had to do so and would not have clearly looked different from the filters that were removed. The manager spoke with the tech, checked the part numbers of the filters I had purchased, and in all spent half an hour going back and forth between the computer and the phone. Finally, she stated that because the transaction occurred the day prior, the district manager would have to reverse the charges. I was told to expect a text from the district manager once the credit was issued. She stated this would be done on Saturday (4/18/2026). Today (Tuesday), I have received no text and no credit to my account. On Monday (4/20/2026) I sent an email with the above details to Take 5's customer service email. I have not received a reply or even an acknowledgement of receipt. I am extremely frustrated by the runaround and the lack of communication. I cannot trust Take 5 after this experience. I would have respected them if they had simply admitted they didn't have the correct parts rather than shoehorning the wrong item into my vehicle just to make a sale and causing me so much distress. Instead of asking to be reimbursed for my time and the extra materials required to fix the mistake, all I was asking for was a refund for the cost of the incorrect air filters. I still haven't received a reply.

Took my 2010 Sienna in for oil change after getting bad feels about the national chain JL and looking through the reviews here. Check in was quick and efficient with simple one page to set things happening. Owner(?) knew the recommended oil (Toyotas are weird like that) and shared dirt on filters; they're basically all the same. Waiting area is basic but comfortable though service was so quick it hardly mattered tbh. Service tech let me know everything looked good as he returned with keys and such. Final check out lady was strong with customer service and even guided me to the restroom. When asked about a transmission fluid change the tech said everything looked good and didn't attempt upsell or anything!!! - Brilliant though I'll certainly be back to Noah when / if / as the Great Green Beast needs anything. The service was also very affordable and cheaper than other car inspections I've received around Houston. Omar at the front desk was especially helpful, professional, and welcoming. I also had a few questions about my car, and he took the time to give me helpful recommendations and explained my options. Thank you to Omar and the entire team! I would definitely recommend Noah Auto Care and will be returning in the future.

The wait was minimal, the customer service was excellent, and the overall process was smooth. Jordan was the first to assist me and noted that I can park my vehicle in the back and leaving the keys in the car. I went into their lobby area, where I was able to enjoy one of their refrigerated water bottles. The room is small and I managed to pass the time while working on my laptop. (#1) 10 minutes into the wait, my vehicle was ready. Michael was helpful in explainig the process to me and the total cost was $18.50. He provided the paperwork that I needed for proof and I was out of the door. The only reason I can't give them a 5 star? They left my car running outside of the garage unattended for at least several minutes while I was chatting with them in the office. Anyone could've walked up from the street and taken the vehicle. I'm feeling fortunate that it wasn't the case. ___________ (#1) No free WiFi that I could find.

I was prepared to wait an hour so I went for a walk down the street, and then 10-15min I got a call. They were working on my car and wanted to check and make sure they were using my preferred synthetic oil. They also wanted to make me aware that my coolant was very low, they used a flashlight to show how shallow. They also showed me that there was corrosion on my battery and that my engine block air filter needed replacing. I told them that I actually had a filter in the car, and since the screws were stripped I asked if I could just put in the filter myself. They went ahead and installed it for me feee of charge. They also rang me up while they were finishing up instead of after they were 100% completed, which o appreciated. The price was more expensive that I remembered in the past, but the employees were kind, helpful, and they got me in and out in a timely manner. Some tips: Always look online to see if you can find jiffy lube coupons. I just googled "jiffy lube coupons," there was a jiffy lube site coupon that I could email to myself and use at checkout. Also, being that it was towards the end of the day I think the crew worked quicker so they didn't have to hang around longer. I would recommend showing up with plenty of time, but more towards the end of the day. Don't show up 5-10min before! That's just rude lol Cheers!!

Out of nowhere, some other guy chimes in, and brutally starts to bark that I wasn't going to get that price, I'm not a criminal, I'm not someone who disrespects others, and I definitely did not expect this guy to just fly off the handle and act like a complete asshole. He said the minimum for me without the coupon would be $200, the coupon would knock it down to $170. I've taken my car to Take five oil change numerous times and I have never paid over $125 with the coupons. Every single time I go, I do have to admit the prices vary, except for the one that I frequent in my neighborhood which they already know me, but the common denominator is they always try to upsell you or charge you extra for apparently zero reason. My car didn't grow, and my car didn't shrink. I should always have the same price because it's the same amount of oil that I put in, and the same grade. I did not appreciate this guy chiming in and acting like a jerk, and then he quickly let me out of the garage as to say get the fuck out of here. How about management or owner start paying these guys a livable wage so that they don't have to act like used car salesman and try to make some kind of ridiculous quota, these are all assumptions, but I do feel like if they were to get paid a good amount, their attitude and the way they do business would change.
