Neighborhood gas and service station, but I will not buy my gas here ever again…read more I've been putting gas in my car using pick n save loyalty points, for many years. I ran the pump which had signed in and confirmed my loyalty discount at .10 a gallon for regular gas. I only use regular in my car. I filled up over 16 gallons and looked at the price of $71.44 !!! Shocked I discussed with Wally at counter, he said nothing he can do. You must've hit the wrong buttons. Come back tomorrow and talk to the owner. So I did. He said maybe the hose hit the premium button when you dragged it to the car? That happens sometimes. I said no... the pump confirmed my loyalty discount at $3.39 a gallon and THEN I filled up. He said well there's nothing I can do... you got premium gas and we can't take it out of the tank. Wish I could do more! I said I am not the guy that wants to screw you out of 17.00 in gas money, you have a glitch on pump 5. I won't be coming back to this station because you don't seem to mind screwing me for that $17.00 gas money. Anyone else have this happen to them at this station? I mean, a small gesture of acknowledgement that I was telling the truth could have changed the outcome here. But my weekly fills at that station have come to a final and screeching halt. Buyer beware.

It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). It wasn't until 2003 that Kwik Trip introduced their Glazer Doughnuts. I couldn't find a lot of info on Glazers, but they appear to simply be the Kwik Trip version of a glazed doughnut. The Glazer that I got my hands on is a yeast/raised doughnut, covered in a sweet glaze, and has a chocolate drizzle on top. There's a pale/whitish appearance to the doughnut since the layer of glaze is so thick. With an appearance like that it reminded me a bit of a zebra or oddly enough, the Warboys from Mad Max. My glazer was satisfyingly sweet, and the chocolate drizzle was a nice touch as it was not simply for aesthetics, but did add some milk chocolate flavor. Warming it in the microwave for a few seconds elevated it to near Krispy Kreme status (aka perfection). Even though it's an ersatz Krispy Kreme Original Glazed Doughnut (to be fair, all other glazed doughnuts in my experience are), Kwik Trip's version is still tasty enough to be Doughboy approved My top doughnut shops: 1. Donut Bar (San Diego) 2. Pinkbox Doughnuts (Las Vegas) 3. Everglazed (Disney Springs) 4. Cranky Al's (MKE) 5. Krispy Kreme (various locations in different states) doughboy_food_reviews

Long John with Snow White Icing and Sprinkles: Kwik Trip is a convenience store/gas station chain…read morelocated primarily in the upper Mid-West. It was founded in 1965 in my home state of WI, specifically, Eau Claire (have fun pronouncing that all you non-Wisconsinites). A Long John is a yeast/raised doughnut that is typically iced and sometimes filled with custard, cream, or some other filling. The term is primarily utilized in the Midwest, Texas, and Canada. Other parts of the U.S. refer to Long Johns as Bar Doughnuts, Finger Doughnut, or Cream Stick (that one sounds kind of dirty). The variety I have from Kwik Trip has vanilla icing and a paltry amount of sprinkles. This was an average doughnut in every way. My biggest complaints are it clearly needs more sprinkles and personally, I feel the icing could also have been more copious to cover more of the surface area. Just okay. Boss brought these in as a Friday treat. My top doughnut shops: 1. Donut Bar (San Diego) 2. Pinkbox Doughnuts (Las Vegas) 3. Everglazed (Disney Springs) 4. Cranky Al's (MKE) 5. I'm now using this Shell station, since the one at 13th and College closed…read more I will forewarn you, at the time of writing this review up, Shell's new corporate policy is to put a $100 dollar hold on your account if you fill with a debit card (or in my case, a Shell app using PayPal that I've been using since the pandemic started so I only have to put a gloved hand on the nozzle). The remaining amount of that hold after purchase takes *6 days to clear your bank*. That means the extra $50 from last week's fill up is still on hold, as well as almost $50 from today's fill up, until midnight when the first $50 is released from hold. Why am I still giving it 4 stars? The manager kindly explained the situation, told me it was out of his control, gave me me his station ID number, and gave me the number of Shell Corporate to call. Not only that, but this station has always been much cleaner than the one at 13th and College. My car has always run best on the Shell V-Power premium fuel, but it's a shame that there are less and less Shell stations around, and even a bigger shame about the bank pre-authorization holds. If you are low on bank funds, my advice is either pay cash or find somewhere else, because the money that is on hold for 6 days could be used to buy things, like say, food, groceries, or rent...
