The chicken was so moist and tender, which made it easier to chew. Gravy was poured on top of the seasoned, fluffy yellow rice and went perfect for the entire dish. The greens are full of flavor and pair so well with the semi-sweet cornbread square. The macaroni and cheese was not as moist and cheesy as I would like but I eat it and enjoyed. Inside Mac's, there are a couple of tables and a food counter in addition to the beverage coolers and shelves of packaged food and other convenience items. On the food counter, you'll find a hot box of breakfast or lunch sandwiches (depending on the time of day) and other assorted items such as ribs, corn dogs and onion rings. My co-workers had recommended the cheeseburger and onion rings, but I was on this crazy respecting-my-gallbladder kick last week, so I only got the cheeseburger "all the way." "All the way" for Mac's turned out to be a ring of white onion, mustard, mayo, a tomato slice, and a piece lettuce. They bagged my burger up, and I headed back to my office, which is one block over. By the time I got to my office, the burger had greased through the bag as well as the paper in which it was wrapped, which is always an indicator of fine dining yet to come. I'd love to be able to say that I savored the complementary flavors of the cheeseburger toppings as they graced my palate, but the truth is: I grabbed this burger with both hands and devoured it in short order.
