When we called the last time and were upset they said help was delayed because of traffic (there was no traffic where we were) and said it wasn't their problem. When the tow truck arrived they told us they were only called 20 minutes before they arrived. My husband responded to a questionnaire sent by the company saying the service was terrible and we have heard nothing back. If I could give them a negative number I would. The 4 staff members I'd dealt with were very helpful and went out of their way. I'd walked into Hertz before coming here because they're an American outfit and I'm a NY'er. They were rude and dismissive and I'm glad for it because doing business with the people in this Eurocar office and garage was truly a pleasure. I had a great trip and thank you!

I wanted the smaller sports car because narrow as streets in Nice, and i ended up with a crossover. -_- We get to the car and it had clearly been side swiped on one side and had a giant dent on the other. She had no record of this. They rented us this beat up car and we made sure the guy write down all the scrapes and dents in the car. Car worked fine, though buying gas upfront was pointless. When we go to return the car at the airport, the attendant asks us where all these dings and scrapes came from. The guy from before never even recorded the giant dings we spent 20 minutes going over with him. This guy was now trying to charge me! Thank God I had taken pics of each dent and scrape before we left with the car. I showed him the pics and he said ok fine. I asked him for a discount for having to drive around this eyesore in Nice and Monaco to which he replied "no." -_- ... never again. I only give 2 stars because the car functioned properly...even though it looked like absolute shit.

In fact, we showed their employees the pictures of the damage that we took before receiving the car and one of their own employees took pictures on his own phone. Despite this, Sixt has been persecuting me for over a year for 500 euros in "pre-existing damages" their own employees documented. It is outrageous and I will never rent from them again. What started out as one of Europe's most customer-friendly car companies has become an exploitive monster.

The car park staff were more perfunctory. Other than driving the car from it's spot to a more accessible position and handing us the key, the staff member turned on his heel and went back to detailing other cars. There was no offer of explaining any features or ensuring that I was happy with the vehicle. We found a few more scratches on the vehicle which we reported to the car park staff. Over all, while it wasn't a negative experience, I wasn't positively impressed and certainly am not moved to promote Europcar as a brand to others at this time. I'll see what the drop-off experience at Europcar Menton branch will be.

Then a walk to see the car. Then a check over the car ( where the staff notes every single remote blemish including dirt) . Drop off took another 30 mins. I don't have time for this crap on my holiday. - Car was a "green hybrid" and marketed on the basis of being Eco, but actually ended up using €30 euros of petrol for a 260 km drive which seems very uneconomical to me.

We didn't know they had a "preferred" check in upstairs, so we waited in line. There were only 2 other people in line and we got to the front in a matter of minutes. We found our car. It was small for American standards, but perfect for the narrow roads of Provence and tiny parking stalls of Europe. When we left the parking lot, the guy checking us out was alone. There was a bit of a wait to get out because there was only that one guy doing the check out. Returning the car was really easy and the walk to the terminal is not too bad.
