So, on a beautiful fall day, I decided to make a trip there and see what it was about. Talk about picking a perfect day to walk a perfect place. Parked my car, grabbed my outdoorsy hat and went walking. You could say that this place is split in two, with a section around the Nature Center and a section all on its own. There were only a few people on the trail and they were friendly. It was an enjoyable walk around the Nature Center section. Even saw two fawn play around while their mother fed. If you like to walk some easy trails while enjoying nature, this place needs to be on your list.

I went to visit the SAA gallery today on 4th street and found the space to be bright and clean…read more (There's another SAA building for art classes ) and the front desk woman to be lovely and informative about the gallery and classes offered . The art work was a mixture of local artists with ongoing featured artist that change periodically. I'm so happy to have found this wonderful place, I'll be back !

Their vinyl collection was pretty big for a small store and also very organized. The prices here are exceptionally good, you can find loose records for literal cents ¢ if you're looking to paint them. The arcade in the back is pretty cool as well, with lots of classic machines featuring classic games! I have yet to see a live performance, but I intend to at some point. Very cool record store, just wish they had more CDs for us CD collectors.

There's a nice variety of plants and flowers throughout the grounds, and depending on the season, there's plenty of colour and interesting displays to enjoy. It's not a huge attraction, but that's part of its charm--it feels relaxing rather than overwhelming, and you can appreciate everything at your own pace. The grounds are clean, the staff are friendly, and it's a great spot for photos, a quiet stroll, or just spending some time surrounded by nature. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it's relatively small, so you can see most of it fairly quickly. I also have not explored the entire garden yet so I can't say I experienced it fully. Still, it's a beautiful local gem and well worth a visit if you're in Springfield. Overall: 4 stars.
