Circus Circus feels really old and outdated, and honestly, it comes across as pretty gross in some areas. The room was run down and dated. We didn't stay. The whole place just lacks the clean, fresh vibe you'd expect from a Vegas hotel. It tries to be fun with its carnival theme, but it ends up feeling cheap and a bit run-down instead. Definitely not the best choice if you're looking for a comfortable or modern stay.

The room was a good deal so we decided to try it for the weekend. We arrived at midnight. There was over 200 people minimum trying to check in the lobby. There were no employees behind the desk to check you in you have to use a kiosk. There were a ton of kiosks to check in but quite a lot were broken and even the working ones had issues. There were about 5 employees trying to help all the people having issues checking in and there were a lot of us. It took me after waiting in line about twenty minutes and then still needed employee assistance twice. The elevators were extremely slow. Lots of people waiting for a a few elevators. We got to the room it was ok. It was fairly clean. The bathroom had dirt on the floor in the corners, under the sink and main areas. First night loud kids in the hallway woke us up at 3AM. Next day the toilet was not working. Maintenance did come up in a reasonable time and fix it. On Sunday we leave our room try get an elevator and none came. One finally came and we jumped in when the people got out but it would not move. After waiting about 10 minutes my husband called the maintenance department and spoke with Stephanie who told him the repair person wasn't coming until Monday so there was nothing she could do. Luckily a maintenance person came up by coincidence and let us use the service elevator or we would have had to walk down 27 flights of stairs. When we get to the parking lot the elevator is not working there either Needless to say. We won't be coming back.

Circus Circus is one of those classic Vegas spots. I've been coming here since I was a kid, and now we bring our son, so there's definitely nostalgia attached. We always head up to the Midway, play the carnival games, and catch the free shows. The games are affordable at around $2-$2.50 each, which is rare these days, and the weekend shows, trapeze, juggling, and other acts, are fun to watch and don't cost a thing. That said, it's more about the experience than the wow factor. If you're looking for a simple, family-friendly place to let the kids have fun without spending a ton, Circus Circus delivers. Just don't expect anything beyond the basics.

Even with low expectations, the hotel failed to meet them. The place is so run down, old, and smells. It was a ghost town. The room itself had questionable stains on the furniture, no hangers in the closet, broken wood inside the closet, no fan in the bathroom, and just general sense of a forgotten hotel stuck in the past. The server at the Big Chill 2 frozen margarita bar was nice though. They say you get what you pay for, but even at the price which includes a $50 per day resort fee, it's not worth it.

Upon check in, this is what was in the room. How does housekeeping miss this?!!!

I would truly like to understand what they do well here. Arrived an hour earlier than check in and was told it would cost us $30+ if we chose to check in early. We declined. Room had zero frills. Our window had a view of a wall. No fridge, microwave nor coffee maker. I didn't expect much but hoped for better. Only two sets of towels with no hand towels. The shampoo container was sitting on the tub. The crusty double backed tape was still stuck on the shower surround. A simple repair, yet they made a decision not to. Only three hangers in the room. Called next day to get towels. Instead of getting housekeeping, it was forwarded to front desk where I waited a half hour before hanging up. Went to front desk and told them our needs. Handed the phone and she connected me right away to housekeeping. They then delivered towels within the hour. My wife was able to get ahold of housekeeping via phone, as we were getting short of TP. No delivery... again went to front desk and delivery made hours later. Not all was terrible. Water pressure and hot water is great. Because of the convention the rates for this subpar property were over $160 a night. These rooms typically go for $30 a night, though I wouldn't stay here unless I absolutely had to even at $30 a night....

Circus Circus honestly surprised me in a way I did not expect. Yes, it's old and definitely dated, but it also has a ton of great machines and a fun, slightly chaotic vibe that kind of works. Walking through the arcade and circus areas took me straight back to my childhood, in a way that felt nostalgic instead of sad. I would love to come back and actually catch some of the live circus acts because that part alone feels like classic Vegas. I am not sure I would stay at the hotel given the condition of some of the public areas, but as a stop to gamble a bit, wander around, and experience a different side of the Strip, it's a surprisingly fun visit.

We didn't stay here, was in the area so just stopped by to check it out. They do provide free parking, we just went in through the hotel registration/parking entrance since it wasn't very clear where else we could park. The place feels old and not kept up to date, it doesn't feel dirty, but nor was it clean. It's a little bit of a maze to find our way to the Midway, and on the top level there were many arcade games and in the center was the stage for the free circus act. Happens every half hour or so on certain days and maybe lasts 8 minutes. I believe the rest of the time is for you to take your kids to spend at the arcade games. The act itself was fun, obviously can't really stand up to the bigger productions in Vegas, but it's free.

We haven't been here in years! There is ample parking, many shops to browse around, eateries/drinks, the new SpongeBob ride is situated right next to Starbucks, that was a fun experience for the family after we got play/ride cards at the Midway. We frequented a bunch of stores during our visit, some good experiences and some not so good. 4 stars because it has been nicely unkept, does not reek badly of cigarette smoke and they are actively trying to keep everything relevant and cater to a younger crowd, my kids really enjoyed our visit here!

A good Vegas hotel choice - 3.5 stars - its an authentic Vegas experience although it might not be luxurious - its still a good value. It breaks my heart when I hear tourists stay at Air Bed and Breakfasts or small motels or even cheap budget places like 'Desert Rose Resort.' When going to Vegas the whole attraction is the hotels - and why would you stay in a place that offers next to nothing? Circus offers a whole lot. The midway and adventure dome is fun for kids and adults alike and the mega resort has so many other points of interests I couldn't list them all. The main idea here is Vegas isn't Hawaii. In Hawaii you could go to any hotel motel Holiday Inn and enjoy it all the same. The attraction is the beach. Again, in Vegas not the case at all. The attraction is being in a place where everything is within reach. A pool, a restaurant, some entertainment, a casino - and this checks all the boxes. If you stay here try to enjoy it here. Go next door to The Strat and enjoy Top of the World for lunch or dinner. Try the rides there. Maybe the next day go to downtown (very close from this end of the Strip). See the cute Vegas casinos where it all started. Enjoy some cheap eats there too. Maybe on one day go to center Strip and see the newest and best of what Vegas has to offer: Bellagio, City Center, Paris and the rest. I'm no stranger to Circus and have fond memories of both this one and the Reno one. I remember when room service for a continental breakfast was just pennies - ha, ha... I'm aging myself!! Its a budget hotel and you get what you pay for. Don't have unrealistic expectations of Bellagio level

    Bathroom roof collapsed
    Caesar G.

We just checked into our room and later went out to the Strip. When we came back, we were trying to rest and recover from our trip when part of the ceiling suddenly collapsed in our bathroom. This was extremely shocking and could have been very dangerous. Pieces of the ceiling fell down, creating a serious safety hazard. The hotel moved us to another room, which was obviously necessary, but when I requested a refund for this night or at least one complimentary night due to this horrible and unsafe experience, they refused. I am truly surprised and disappointed by how this hotel handled the situation. This was not just an inconvenience -- it was a dangerous incident. We expected much better in terms of safety and customer service. Very disappointing experience.

Us enjoying BINGO at circus circus.

I have been coming here for 5 weeks and have to say that Brad, Betty, Michelle, and Dawn havemade this experience a lot of fun. They are awesome team and a pleasure to play in this bingo. It is cheap and just a great time. All the workers are happy and extreamly nice to everyone.

Every time we visit Las Vegas, we always watch the circus shows at Circus Circus Las Vegas. My son enjoys watching clown shows, but he wasn't able to act this time. We watched Hula Hoops and the new guy Freeladderman, both of which were excellent shows. The freeladderman was kind enough to let my kids take pictures with him. Overall, Circus Circus we won a lot of plushies and had great shows. Hopefully, my son will be able to see the clown act the next time we visit.

    Is it pet friendly?

Honestly I doubt it. It is very crowded, noisy and I did not see any place if you have a dog to walk it. It is surrounded by sidewalks.

Is there any dance clubs or lounge? Also is there any beer pong to play on the strip?

Not at Circus Circus Beer Pong can be played at Planet Hollywood

    Is the buffet open?

When we were there in April it was open

    Do the rooms have microwaves?

The room that we had didn't have a microwave.

    Is there free airport shuttle?

Go somewhere else, don’t stay there!

Planning a family trip in August want to know if the rooms are clean?

My husband was recently there and the room looked like it hadn’t been clean in a while. And when he brought it to the supervisor was rude

Planning on going to Vegas for the first time how's the rooms here?

    Decent and cheap.

So you need to be vaccinated?

No, we do not check guest vaccination status. We are following the mask mandate that is still in place.

Is the roller coaster is still open?

    Yes, both coasters are running.

    No, only self park.

No, isn't all that clean and is run down. It's not very safe look at news reports about fights and shootings that occur there. Food mainly sucks unless you eat at the expensive steakhouse.

Is the water slides available for children or is that an additional cost?

They are available and free to kids In the pool area as long as you stay at Circus Circus. They just have to be a certain height.

    Can you receive mail here?

Going next week with my fam. Wife and I are veterans here but never been with our kids (ages 10 and 5). Wondering what are the pros to staying here and are there any "perks" with staying here? Ex:discounts on rides, food, tour?. I've heard the bad!

We wanted her to have time inside too to play in the arcades. Time doesn't start until your first scan for a race or ride. They conveniently scanned us in for our first race and we were seated, in our car, for a solid 10 mins while they sorted out other drivers and go-karts. We got sick from exhaust blowing in our face as we sat there with all the cars running yet not moving. When we finally started the race, it was less than 5 minutes! Half of the cars were either dysfunctional or set to a slow setting with no rhyme or reason. Our next race, our daughter was so excited she is tall enough to try the sprinter car on her own (58in) so we went to check that out. We waited 10 mins for a race to finish then the worker told us she could only fit 8 racers despite there being 15+ cars. So we had to wait another round. Another 20+ mins gone. Half an hour in, we only had 2 races in. In total, we were able to get 5 races in the hour time frame (one of which was past our time limit, but the worker let us go anyway). We have been going to Mini Grand Prix for years and this was the worst experience by far. The races are shorter, the lines are longer, the wrist bands are more expensive and the facilities have not been updated. Our daughter, on her own told us, it's not the same anymore : (

First time I ever rode it, I didn't know what I was signing up for. You hear that slow click... click... click as you climb, thinking, "Alright, how bad could this be?" Then it drops and suddenly you're questioning every life decision that led you to that seat. It's fast, it feels a little wild, almost rickety like it might toss you into the Vegas skyline, and I wasn't ready for it. Not even close. But man... what a trip. And here's the thing that ride became more than just a thrill. One of the last trips I ever took with my dad, we rode that coaster together. I didn't know at the time he was sick... didn't know he had cancer. He never told me. But I remember that ride clear as day. I was focused on grabbing one of those little souvenir keychains after, something simple. He had other plans wanted the bigger photo, something we could hold onto. At the time, I didn't think much of it. Now? That picture means everything. So every time I go back to Vegas, I ride it. No questions asked. It's tradition. And for something that looks compact tucked into the Strip, this thing punches way above its weight. It hits speeds around 67 mph, throws you through a full loop and a barrel roll, and pulls enough G-force to make you feel like a fighter pilot for a few seconds. It's one of the few coasters right on a major city strip like this, and it doesn't hold back. By the time you step off, your legs are a little shaky, your stomach's doing a reset, and yeah you're probably ready to eat something. Quick tip: don't ride it at the end of a long night. Either go in fresh or give yourself some buffer after eating. This one's got some bite. I'll be honest it's not about chasing thrills like I used to. I'm not some hardcore coaster guy. But this? This is different. This is memory, adrenaline, and tradition all wrapped into one loud, fast, unforgettable ride above Las Vegas. Ride it once for the thrill. Having to tell a child at the last second that she was no longer allowed to join after already being checked in was incredibly upsetting. Our daughter immediately started crying and was devastated. My wife and I then had to step away to comfort and carry her while everyone else continued on. Because of how poorly this was handled, neither my wife nor I were able to enjoy the experience either. The issue is not the rule itself we respected the age requirement. The problem is the complete lack of communication and professionalism.
