I called multiple times on Friday and Saturday to get an update on the status of my dog, often more than once per day, but received no response. The only communication I received was a text message on Sunday stating that my dog was ready for pickup. The message stated: "Pickup may be made weekdays 3 p.m.-6 p.m. or Sat/Sun before 3 p.m. or by appointment." Based on that information, I arrived at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. The employee was already leaving but did return to assist us. Unfortunately, the pickup felt rushed, and I was not given the opportunity to look at or purchase an urn before leaving. Losing a pet is an incredibly difficult experience, and I would have appreciated more consistent communication and a less rushed pickup process during such an emotional time.

The family was able to be together to send our precious girl off because we were able to coordinate it on a Sunday. No scary trip to the vet. Before Dr. Daiger came, we got Mila outside as a family. She soaked in some sunshine, was able to see some of the million bunnies in our neighborhood, and even spotted a neighborhood cat on it's front porch. She died warm from her short walk, with a belly full of bacon from breakfast and the treats that Dr. Daigler brought. She was calm and happy, and her poor broken body is no longer in pain. Not because the business isn't wonderful, but because of the fact that I needed them in the first place. Green Heart and Dr. Megan were wonderful during the process after I lost my soul dog, Lenny. I'd originally called Dr. Megan to also provide in-home services, but she wasn't available. Luckily she has a network of other doctors, and she was able to very quickly connect me with one of her colleagues as my situation was kind of an emergency. Once Green Heart received Lenny, it took about a week or so to get his ashes back, as water cremation is a bit more of a process. I did have to reach out to them for an update, but they responded right back and fully informed me on what they were waiting for. It wasn't too long after that that they called to tell me that Lenny was ready to be picked up. I will say when I got there I started crying as I walked in the door, and I don't think the person who helped me quite knew what to do, which is funny because you would think that considering the situation it's not unusual for somebody to be crying when they come to pick up their pet's ashes. But regardless, they took wonderful care of my boy. I opted for both the nose print and the paw print, which are an additional cost. The bamboo box for his urn came with the cremation price. They also gave me all the extra prints, as well as a candle, some of his hair in a bottle, and a packet of wildflower seeds to plant in his name. They also plant a tree for every pet that they take care of. This sort of commitment to the environment and sustainability is one of the main reasons why I chose water cremation. Highly recommend.
