Our group got a fresh egg out of the coup! Many baby alpacas around, pregnant mamas segregated, and "visitors" quarantined until checked out. The staff was super knowledgeable, and super nice. We paid $80 for four of us, and you don't really get anything for that price. You have to pay for balloon animals and face painting, which I think should be included in your ticket. My daughter loved the pillow jump, but the lady working there was horrible. She screamed at everyone constantly to "get in line," and then if kids were jumping too hard or didn't stop jumping when she said so, she'd scream at them. She really ruined what should've been a fun time. The other staff wasn't nice either. In the end, I could've taken my daughter to a park for free and gotten the same experience without having to shell out $80. This place just seemed super greedy and zero customer service skills. They treated everyone like they weren't welcome.

Sadly this year we had our first major bad experience with the staff. So Hope and David.. this is for you who offered no apologies, no sense of understanding, and who encouraged us to take to the internet to express our dissatisfaction. We found ourselves lost in the corn maize, and our older boys (age 12 and 15) forged ahead to help us and a group of other families find our way out. They got ahead of us so we did not see fully what happened but we walked up on a female employee, Hope, cutting off our boys bands and sticking white hand on them letting the world no they are no longer welcome inside the corn maize for the rest of our day. We come to find out the boys saw the next marker to help us out and they stepped over some yellow caution tape in an open space to get to it and back track to help us out. But Hope was essentially hiding in the corn, and gave no warning, no offer for assistance, and no human decency towards our boys and instead immediately punished them. When we confronted Hope, she admitted that this was the most difficult part of the maize but continued to give me no apologies or any sense of respect or customer service when explaining the boys were now banned from the maize. Then she audibly huffed in annoyance when we did not allow her to take the boys from us and had to escort our whole group out of the maize. From there David, a manager was brought down from a cherry picker over seeing the maize and proceeded to treat us in the same cold and unapologetic manner. To top it all off he could not truly weigh in on the situation because he was on his phone while "watching" the maize. Overall we were extremely disappointed to be treated so poorly and without any decency from these two employees, Hope and David. We never received an apology, a crumb of understanding, or any politeness. We understand our boys disobeyed a rule, but they did not destroy any property, were not rude or disrespectful to anyone, and were just trying to be helpful and take the lead in helping our family out of the maize.

Unfortunately, we were never greeted or given any guidance upon arrival. When we saw a buffalo near the entrance, we calmly walked over just to say hi -- as one might expect at a petting zoo. A man, who I believe was the owner, suddenly yelled at us to back away. We returned to our car, unsure of what we had done wrong. He then approached us again and aggressively asked what we wanted. When we asked about the tour and prices, he continued to scold us for going near the animals, despite the fact that this is advertised as a petting zoo. The tone and hostility were completely uncalled for. As we were about to leave, we paused briefly to look at the camels and take a quick picture -- only to have him run up and yell at us again, demanding that we get off the property. We left feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and honestly shocked at how poorly we were treated. It was a complete waste of time and left a very negative impression. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a friendly, family-oriented experience.

Have them a ring and set up an appointment. My kids were just giddy with joy. They got to feed and pet the goats. They got to ride the camels and then relax with the kangaroos. It truly was a lovely experience and they were so patient with the kiddos and the oddly specific questions that my son asked. They provided a bunch of random facts that the children just loved. They hung on their every word. Altogether we spent a little over an hour here and it was all worth it. At 20 bucks a head it was a reasonable price for a great memory. TLDR: Small private zoo that's in obvious need of some repairs/upgrades (and has received safety…read morecitations in the past) but nonetheless has a rustic charm. I'd still remain vigilant and aware of surroundings as a result. No handwashing station at the petting zoo so make sure you either walk your kids to the nearby restroom or bring soap sheets (more below). Open daily including holidays (365 days a year) 9-5. They offer a variety of animal encounters for a fee. CONDITIONS: This small private zoo is definitely a bit run down and unkempt. The ramp from the office/reception area to the zoo had broken wooden boards that seemed like they were heading toward collapse. Felt a bit nervous pushing our stroller wagon over it. The owner should definitely address that. I got the vibe that the owner does really care about the animals but some of the cages did seem too small. The owner also told us he wanted to construct a train (which is always nice) but I think fixing up the zoo/improving the habitats should be a priority. Some of the exhibits seemed confusing -- there was a sign for a bear but the area seemed overgrown and inaccessible. I don't know if the exhibit was just removed or what. As far as the provenance for the animals -- I think some are rescues but not all. They are also a breeding facility for endangered animals. CITATION HISTORY: I did a little bit of digging and it turns out the zoo has received citations in the past. In 2022, the USDA issued an official warning to the zoo regarding inadequate enclosure fencing. I was able to track down the official document in APHIS. I also found a reference to an official warning in 2013 that noted inadequate veterinary care for underweight animals, inappropriate feed/diet, repeated problems maintaining facilities in good repair, sanitation/cleanliness problems, and inadequate pest control (resulting in a financial penalty). I was not able to track down the official document for this, only a senate filing (regarding an accreditation association) that referenced the warning. In theory, they could have pulled it from PETA, who has published a 10-page "fact sheet" online that details countless other USDA citations and claims that in 2022, a dog broke into an enclosure and killed 4 cavies and 1 muntjac (to simplify, rodents and deer). I have not been able to verify the dog attack claims and don't have the time to look into the other alleged citations. Ultimately, PETA is a special interest group with a dubious record. PETTING ZOO/SAFETY: It's not the sort where you can go inside but you can feed the animals through the fence. There is no handwashing station but the restroom isn't that far. Make sure you take your kids to wash their hands right after. Watch smaller kids carefully to ensure they're not putting their hands in their mouth while/after interacting with the animals. You can use hand sanitizer immediately after but you really should wash their hands ASAP. I believe hand sanitizer can kill e.coli but will not kill cryptosporidium (parasite that can be carried by farm animals). You can buy soap sheets that are good on the go (Fomin is the brand I have, available on Amazon). You just pour water and the sheet becomes soapy and then you rinse. There was some charm here -- for instance, the farm animal area was chaotic in an amusing way -- pigs and chickens and peacocks and little prairie dogs trying to steal food -- it was cute pandemonium. The talking macaws were fun and the hippo put on a show for us -- opening his huge maw. Zoo experiences are a bit subjective in that sense, depending on how the animals are feeling when you arrive. Mornings seem to be best as it's cooler. Keep your expectations low -- it's a place to see animals and entertain your kids for an hour or so. Just remain vigilant and keep an eye on surroundings for safety reasons. They also offer a variety of animal encounters which we did not partake in. Ultimately, I do hope that they take any USDA citations seriously and allocate sufficient capital to improve/fix their facility.

Huge slides, kids zip lines, pumpkin patch, hay rides, barrel train rides, corn maze, swings, games, sandbox with dump trucks, bubble area, construction digger truck operation area, food, barn with a band playing and dance floor, campfires (for reservation), flower fields for pictures or picking (for a small fee), apple cannons you can shoort for an additional fee I believe, lots of picture opportunities. Everything was well spread out so even though there was a lot of people you didn't feel like you were on top of each other. Also, the lines were pretty short or non existent. The food was good, and not overly expensive. We had brisket fries (real brisket, not something that tastes like it came from a tub), all toppings were help yourself. They also had your typical turkey legs, funnel cakes, kettle corn, etc. We got there shortly after they opened on Sunday and stayed almost until they closed. Our almost two year old loved it. The parking was super easy to get in and out. You do have to purchase tickets online, then show the QR code at the front. No cash, card only but there is a way to convert cash there if needed at one of the stations. Highly recommend bringing your family here for some wholesome fall fun.
