College Rd…read more Was buying a couple things at the gas station (from the older lady with the 80s hair) and for my tabacco product (I am 26 and rarely get asked for my id) she asked for my id. I gave her my NC I'd which has the picture from when I had a beard. In an extremely rude manner she said "this doesn't look like you" with a horrid belittling look on her face. I gave her my other ID for AZ with all the same information since its my identification information. She has the both to compare and contrast and rather then doing the comparing she plays this staring contest with me. I've never been so disrespected and belittled buy a gas station before. She demanded that I smile so she can make sure it's the same person. Through my frustration I managed a smile so I could get my stuff and leave. This is not how you should ever treat a customer. I am very upset.

I used to be a customer there i guess. A frequent one. I live close by so I'm usually there at least twice a day buying cigs and gas and food. Generally, I have had good experiences at this store. So anyway i go in and look around for a minute and then decide to use the bathroom. Its completely trashed. Paper towels all over the floor and an empty beer can in the bathroom. I come out and make myself a hotdog and go to pay. The cashier, I didnt get her name, but a white girl with almost black hair kinda fat. She says " Now you gonna pay for the rest of the items?" Im like what rest of the items. "The ones you stole she says. The beer" Her little gangsta wannabe boyfriend who was loitering in the store had gone in behind me and told her there was a beer can in there. So I'm pissed. I show her the 250 dollars in my wallet and let her know i never stole a thing in my life. I ask for her manager. She said she was the manager. Im like "you have cameras right? Lets look at the cameras. Show me what I stole so i can pay for it. Something. Something. Making excuses but not apologizing. And then loitering boyfriend tells me that he's going to "beat my ass" if i keep talking to her like that. So i ask her for the corporate number etc... Of course she doesnt have it and all this. Still had plenty of chances to apologize but didnt. So i say ok what time does the manager who can look at the video come in. 8 she says. I was like ok I'll be here at 8. I go home and try to call corporate but theyre closed so i call my friend who works at the other branch and she gives me the district managers number. He doesnt answer so i leave him a couple of nice messages letting him know exactly what time the alleged stealing took place and what i was wearing and told him to find it and cue it up and id come in and pay 10 times the value of everything i stole. We will see what happens when I rip the store manager and corporate a new one tomorrow and I'll update. But this rude girl has no business working with the public. A manager supposedly but got her Eminem wannabe dude distracting her. And him threatening the customers. Ridiculous. I guess I have to find me a new store which sucks because i liked that one. Some things cant be taken back. As much money as I spend in there every day to get treated like that. I would avoid that store if i were you. The prices are terrible anyway. They have decent deals on cigs which is why I used to go there but it isnt worth it when you get treated like that and the cashier is all up her boyfriend's ass. Twice, I got in there and felt like I was more of an irritating problem than a paying customer. So far, on 2 occasions, it's been the same lady. I don't know her name, but she wears a ton of makeup and has Gray strands in her hair. But she seems younger. I often have to wait for her to validate my existence. No, hello. No, greeting, just stand there, staring out the window, waiting for me to do my thing like she doesn't even want to look at me. The one time I had to wait for her to finish her cigarette break and chatting with another employee outside the doors while I just stood there in a store all by myself. Wondering when they were going to come in. I hate going to the store because of this. I only go there because I use lowes foods points for my gas discount. Speedway, on Carolina Beach Road, past monkey Junction. It's definitely the only store I'll be going to I always feel like an actual customer there. They acknowledge me, say hello, at least at the minimum, they do that. I enjoyed going to the other store now.Because I know my experience will be horrible at the Gordon road location.
