The Kissing Pig Cafe has so many food options, too! Mrs. K. has not had a kolache in years and she's now pescatarian which presents certain challenges. It would be awesome if they had some kolaches with just cheese or were sweet, so while I had one with ham and cheese and one with sausage in cheese, she was at least able to enjoy a strawberry and cream danish as well as the always awesome poppyseed kolache. It's possible that a pecan square was purchased for later consumption, too. The self-serve coffee was great and we enjoyed all of this inside at a comfortable table. And after that, more shopping. So much great stuff to choose from here and very, very clean restrooms. If you're overwhelmed by that massive baked goods counter, just ask for recommendations. They'll get you sorted for sure! They employee one waitress sometimes & a cook, which is part owner , I think. Pleasant fellow, but was waitress & cook last afternoon. "They think they have a generator", but are uncertain if it works. It seems they may be recently in ownership of the business. The restrooms, showers, & restaurant appear clean. The usual convenience store fare. Coffee is a little higher in price, than some of the similar truck stops & all flavored; of the two pots they had. Many casino machines. No smoking in the restaurant, thank goodness. Unfortunately, the hookah, game & shower rooms do have smoking. The space there is large, with a laundry area & many chairs to lounge in. The lighting is poor for reading though. Looks much like a newly renovated old truck stop. They did little to upgrade the parking lot though.

They will cook for you while you are there if they don't have an item ready. Of course they have all the sodas beer and cigarettes. They have a thing where if you buy the tray and tortilla chips you can put your own chili and cheese and they have a topping bar. The bar is for the dogs as well. Employees have been friendly and the gas prices are fairly reasonable. Check into getting refill glasses if you plan on coming often. They also have a good selection of fountain drinks if I remember. It's rude and disrespectful as a paying customer. The nighttime staff is GREAT! Every since new owners took over, it hasn't been the same. No prices on any of the products in the building. Gas pumps never have paper in the machines. One of the pumps leak gas from the line. Buttons are usually missing from the pumps as well. Air machine never works. It truly has gone down hill. The parking lot is full of potholes.

The lady behind the counter was so polite and helpful. She helped us decide what to order and when those double cheeseburgers came out they smelled heavenly. They tasted amazing too! While I don't foresee us having anymore games in Chilton, we've already decided that should we find ourselves in this area, were stopping in for more cheeseburgers.
