Anyway - this station offers good ingress / egress. On game days, you can even buy a spot here - and it's a fairly reasonable walk to the stadium (although that reminds me - a much closer place to park (and FREE) is the city-owned lot behind Kubano's / Gaines St. Pies. know where I'm talking about?)) This gets the "A-OK" endorsement because it is. Don't expect the boutique coffee "banquette" here - nor pristine rooms of rest. This is just a gas station like you read about.

There are different types of hot food available and they even have a pizza section (Sbarro's). The store is very clean and the cashiers are nice/welcoming. I don't normally do "gas station" food, but I did pick up a chicken roll and some cajun-boiled peanuts. I had a small issue regarding my receipt, but it was made right and I so appreciate that. That's the entire purpose of being able to pay at the pump you should not have to go in to get your receipt. It seems they never restock the ticket stock for printing out receipts at the pump. Other than that the store people are nice have always been Pleasant. The gas prices here are a little higher than the other citgo's I guess it's because it's on a main strip that everyone travels on. The one near my house is $0.10 cheaper. You will see some homeless people hanging out but never had an issue or problem they've always been very polite very nice never a nuisance.

They are positive, helpful, and genuinely seem to care about their customers. They go out of their way to help. From their patience at Eat's Southern Cooking with a large order during their busiest morning time to one of their checkout clerks helping me to my car with my order, they make my visit a pleasure. That, in turn, makes me pass other closer gas stations to get to this one! In today's negative customer climate, thanks for your awesome customer service! While I'm on the subject, Eat's Southern Cooking is a gem. Located within the SunStop, they serve a traditional buffet-style country breakfast and lunch that is superior to many regular restaurants. From their egg casserole to their fried pork chops and fish, the entree selections encompass everything you could want and more! If you haven't tried it, you don't know what you are missing! Trust me and make a special trip to Eat's for breakfast or lunch...you'll be very glad you did!

The chicken wings were pretty good, but the Shepherd's Pie is what did it for me. Not only did you get a heaping pile of it, it was definitely kind of the comfort food your mom used to make. It was so filling I could have done without the wings. The station itself is a bit run down but it's actually pretty clean, considering (unless you're from some affluent neighborhood). Customer service was good but nowhere close to the "omotenashi (おもてなし)" you'd experience in Japan. The bathroom was a pretty standard small gas station bathroom. It was clean but with that 'perma-stench' aroma. You access it from the outside by the diesel pumps.

So this review is less about the gas station and more about the Speedpass+ app that you can use to…read morepay. The gas station itself is your standard gas station. What sets it apart in this market is that it accepts the Exxon Speedpass+ mobile app. Here is what you do: Download the app to your phone (in my case, iPhone). Enter credit card info and whether you want to have receipts emailed to you, printed or both. That's it. Now go to this Exxon and open the app. If you have location services the app will tell you which gas station you are at and ask you for the pump number. If you don't see the pump number, no problem. The app will let you scan the QR code that is on the pump. Once you enter the pump number or scan the code, the app will authorize the pump and you are ready to pump your gas. When you are done fueling and put the nozzle back, your receipt will print or be emailed to you (in my case, both). That's it. Off you go. And the local station never has or sees your credit card. Genius. And the technology works!
