I've been shopping in this convenient store for more than thirty-years, but not for a few years…read more Yesterday, I went into the store (not busy at all, and it's very close to where I live) to load my debit card. A Mr. Kahn (I had to request his name as he was not wearing any 7-11 uniform, or a name tag). I give him the cash, plus their $4.95 fee. I am supposed to swipe my card, not him, yet he demands my card. I don't know what he did, but he abruptly hands my card and cash back and loudly tells me my card is no good and orders to get out of the store as though I stole somethig, yet he never asked for my ID to confirm my identity match to my card. I then go well out of my way to Walgreens where I never have a problem loading my card. And as always, the friendly Walgreens employee processed my action with no problems. I then return to the store to show my processed action receipt and to point out 7-11's mistake. Mr. Kahn then became belligerent with me in a racial manner. I pointed out his racism to which he proudly agreed. I informed him that I would let corporate know and his manager.

When I went to this 7-Eleven yesterday, there was a note on the door saying "10 Minute Break" with…read morethe doors locked around 6pm, 6:30-ish. We sat in the parking lot for wayyyy longer than 10 minutes after seeing a bunch of people standing outside the door. Ultimately, everyone accept for one dude ended up getting tired of waiting and left. I don't expect much from 7-Eleven to begin with, but either of the two scenarios are absolutely ridiculous-- 1) if you truly only have one person working the store with no coverage for breaks, shame on the management for allowing that to happen on a Saturday or 2) if the employee was stretching out their break because we were definitely there for longer than 10 minutes, they lost a LOT of business by not posting accurate signage. Either way, this 7-Eleven is the perfect representation of most Stockton business-- unreliable.

I then watched how nice the cashiers are while I waited in line as one of the cashiers even helped an elderly man with his purchases and walked him out to his car.
