After waiting 5 minutes to get a gas pump, it was kind of annoying to use and wasn't really working. When we went inside, there was a really long line. Once we got to counter they said that the pump was probably not going to work, and to try another. But then we went back out and it magically worked. The restrooms are located on the side of the building. There was also a wait to use those, but they were decently clean for gas station restrooms. Typical gas station/convenience store items. Really long line to check out, but probably because of holiday weekend. They also sell reservation permits here as well as bags of ice and water. Not the best or worst experience. Would probably stop here again if needed facilities or gas.

Enough cannot he said about this one stop shop for all your convenience needs, but I would be remiss if I didn't try. To start, I'll address most people primary concern: the condiments are abundant. Chipotle mayo, salsa, spicy salsa, relish, honey mustard, sweet and sour sauce, the list could go on and on. On our next camping trip, we'll be stopping in to pocket many a packet. If the selection looks slim, we apologize and advise you to ask the cashier to refill. Speaking of the cashier! She is sweet and welcoming and may even offer you the change from the previous customer who rushed off too quickly! She is new, but she nearly nailed the microwave time for the burritos. I think by the time you stop in, she'll have it down to the second. Speaking of the burritos! They're gas station burritos! In addition, they have a vegetarian option and they are BOGO 79 cents, so please treat your travel partner! At the time of this review, no one had shit their pants, so that's great news! They also had not one, but TWO, ice cream sections, their own brand of delicious kettle chips, and they're the only gas station open on a Sunday night for 200 miles. 10/10 would recommend to a friend and return. Enjoy!

Now it's a little escape from the family reunion we were attending. It's in the middle of nowhere so you occasionally get to see grazing elk and antelope. The clientele are nice. This is one of those places were the locals hang. Not all of them but a few. It used to be closed on Sundays because Mormons owned it. I believe it's open on Sundays now. Probably because the main road is busier. It's a really interesting place to see. It's a living breathing antique with that real small town feel.

When I came to Arizona in 1972, I had a house in Timer Knoll (my Sister and Brother in law also…read morelived in Timber Knoll). I didn't have a clue where it was so I stopped at the Midway Station to ask for directions. When I walked in, there was an ol' Cowboy behind the counter, his name was Don Goodman, him and his wife Evelyn owned the Midway and had for at least 30 years. Well when I mentioned I was trying to find Timber Knoll, he knew who I was and said they all had been waiting for me to get there...lol After about ten minutes, it was like I had known them for years. Several years later, I moved closer to Show Low, Don and Evelyn sold the Store (which then was also the Post Office) and ended up buying the house I lived in, in Timber Knoll. They were super people, Don got me into roping and did a few cattle drives with him and Carlos who was the foreman at Timberline Ranch. One thing that I always laughed at was when you walked in the door, on the left sitting on the floor in a flower pot, next to the Ice Cream freezer was a peyote plant with a LARGE button... No one ever said anything about it.. about a year or so later the button was gone and Don said " the other day some hippy looking people came in and after they left, he noticed it was gone"... he said they must of been from Phoenix..... LOL
