The bathrooms are above-average clean for a gas station and are very modern. It looks like a great place to buy beer--they have a selection equivalent to a grocery store and a dedicated walk-in cooler. The food is another story. I've seen the food well-stocked, but I went in at noon on a Saturday for something hot and was disappointed. They didn't have the chopped beef sandwich or sriracha burger that they advertised as a special. I think they were understaffed and didn't manage to stock. I ended up with a sausage on a stick and a choice off the roller grill. They did have a good variety there, including a breakfast sausage that was tempting, but in the end I went with a pepperoni pizza grilled sausage, with some "chili" and cheese from the dispensers. Gourmet food it was not, but actually not half bad. The sanitary conditions for the food were good. The buns were individually wrapped, and the drink cup lids were in dispensers that cut down on fingering the stack. They had two Freestyle machines, and both appeared to be working properly, which you can't take for granted. The gas is a bit above average in price, but it's convenient and I'm happy to patronize it.

Then she said for me to give the cards back and that the transaction is voided because she does not know how to ring up the transaction because her boss is not here. I asked her to provide me with a voided receipt and she said they don't have that only a small gift card receipt that says card activation declined. She refused to give me a receipt that said "voided" or "refunded" I am having to wait here 20 minutes for the boss to get here because this cashier said she normally works in the food area and doesn't know how to ring up gift cards. She would not provide a phone number for store owner just a first name. Then the boss gets here and voids the transaction!!! And provides a voided receipt!!! I said "what if I would have left with no voided receipt and she said I should have provided my phone number so she could void it then call me and let me know when she got here" I said "I have never been here how am I to be certain it would have been refunded?" She said "you should have trusted me". I do not know this woman or this place. This is unreasonable and the lack of care is unreal. I ask for the owner's phone number and she says he's not going to do anything and does not provide it. Moral of the story, don't go to this Exxon called Gosling Express the experience is less than favorable and you will waste 30 minutes of your life and not have the gift cards you were needing and not be treated with respect.

Not a lot of salsa, I would ask for it on the side next time. Also got some roasted jalapenos. The rice and beans were OK, standard for Tex-Mex. The carnitas were cooked perfectly--nice and tender, wonderful to eat. Not strongly seasoned but the pork flavor came through well. Delicious! It came with flour tortillas, which were mostly fine, one was a bit stiff. The jalapenos were very tasty and nicely roasted--but really super hot for me, I couldn't finish one. If you like adding some spice this will work. The drink machine was working well and they have the soft ice. The interior was clean and inviting. I can recommend it.

The green salsa I got was also fine. It's $10 and big enough to split. I got it with lettuce, onions, cilantro and jalapenos, and I would take it over Subway. It is best to have some Spanish language skills, we were working hard to understand each other. The rest of the store seems about the same. I got a fountain drink and it was working OK. I wish the new folks well.

I would do that again any time. Had some minor communication issues--I asked for rice and beans and the server put it in the tacos, which actually was pretty good. The store is impressive. Spotless inside, everything neat on the shelves. The restrooms are imposing, high ceilings and faux marble tile, with very modern fixtures. Definitely worth a stop.

On the outside, the food brand says Taqueria Contigo, but inside there's a sign saying Taqueria Azteca--I'll go with that as the name. I like Laredo Taco Company and wanted to see if this new food brand holds up. Not so much. The signs on the outside advertise hamburgers, which would be new. But one needs to be flexible--the grill and fry maker didn't really look ready to go so I got their special--four tacos for $8.99. Pretty good price. One each of beef fajita, chicken, Al Pastor and chiccharones. The tortillas are now store-bought. The tacos themselves were OK--came with salsa already on them. Can't say anything better or worse. Certainly not anything like the Laredo Taco Company food. The drink machines were not in great shape. Several drinks were sold out or not working, and the Coke Zero was not marked but obviously not working either. Got a regular Coke and it was pretty weak. The bathrooms were usable but not real clean. The people were friendly. I come by fairly regularly because they often beat other Exxon and Mobil locations on fuel price. Contrary to an earlier review you can in fact use your ExxonMobil app here. I'll keep buying gas but am not tempted to go inside.
