Murphy Oil USA gas station is a busy place with cars coming and going often. They are located on…read morethe corner to the west of MainSource Bank. They seem to have low fuel prices all the time. They have an outdoor style convenience store, where there are several refridge machines with sliding glass doors that create a corridor to the window of the small shack where you can pay the awaiting attendant. Or use credit card and pay for just fuel at the pump. They do have all types of soda pops, snacks, candy, smokes, and other items. Many outside for easy grab, and other behind the cashier inside their shack that they will get for you. Prices for these items are about the same as other mini mart stores which means a little higher, but their easy and quick to grab and pay for those on the run. This gas station has an air machine on the south side of the lot. Sometimes cars cut thru this lot to get to the bank, so always be sure to look and drive slow in the lot area. Which is easily understandable as these two gas stations are only about 100 feet apart, haha.

I pulled into a bay, and when I was going through the pre-filling procedures, the card reader would not read my card. It felt like part of the reader was missing. I looked on the other side of the pump for the next bay and it had an out of order sign. So, I moved my car to another bay and it worked fine. I couldn't help but notice a dead moth inside the screen where my fuel consumption was shown. And when I asked for a receipt, my pump was out of paper and I was directed to go inside to the counter. I simply took a photo of my total (including the dead moth) and logged it into my checkbook when I got home. However, what they actually sell at that price is inferior E15, duping customers that believe that they are getting real Unleaded gas. E15 causes damages to most vehicles which are on the road today and it voids warranties for most vehicles. E15 also gives lower mileage than regular unleaded. Their regular unleaded gas is priced higher than most stations.

Large spaces to fit big trucks in and out makes it nice too. They also sell some basics like candy, soda pops, softener salt, and other items. Place is usually fairly busy but they have several pumps so there won't be a very long wait, if you even have to wait at all. Good place to get low cost fuel, diesel or gas both available.
