This fine location is my closest for now, but they are building a new one in my teeny tiny town as I type this. Arriving- Directly on US Rout 27 North so easy peasy. As with most Wawa's it's very busy so slow down and be careful when you park. While you're there, take advantage of their two free air machines for your tires. They're famous for that! When you park, take notice that many close-in spaces are numbered. Ambience- Boatloads of gas pumps with good prices. Not always the best gas price but close and the great food makes up for it. Inside it is bright and cheery and clean. It's 99% take-out so don't plan on sitting inside. The App- I think it's great and I especially like Curbside Pickup! I like it so much that I rarely go inside anymore! Just park in a clearly numbered spot! Customer Service- I'm usually doing Curbside Pickup so it's just one delivery person. They are almost always on time and often a little ahead of the time specified in the app. I have never had an incorrect order. The delivery person is always friendly so five stars. Food- So, every kind of drink you can imagine, and an amazing choice of sandwiches along with pizza. Today I ordered a Classic Roast beef Sub with extra beef and an Iced Coffee which set me back at about $14. The choices available for your sub are more than in most places. I love that they have sweet peppers! It was cheerfully brought out to my car in about 12 minutes. It's delivered in a nice, reusable bag. As you can see from my pic this was a solid sub. The meat was plentiful and tender, and the toppings were very fresh. As usual, it was excellent! Conclusion- These guys are the top of the heap when it comes to convenience/gas chains. History- I had multiple bad experiences getting vaccinated at your typical big box chain pharmacy. Long waits, botched appointments, screwed up paperwork, you name it. I experienced it! Several of my friends suggested I try Publix, so I gave them a shot. It's the fall vaccine season so, as an older Yelper I needed three shots and I like to do mine separately as opposed to simultaneously. This is my story. Online- An absolutely wonderful experience. Well-designed and easy to understand and navigate. Do all your paperwork here instead of on a clipboard at the pharmacy. I hate those clipboards! Appointments- You can go either way at Publix. You can do first-come-first-served or by appointment. If you enjoy root canals, go without an appointment! If you like smooth efficiency, get one online. It's quick and simple. So, I had three appointments over about five weeks. * For each one I was seen either early or on time. * There was no onsite paperwork! In just one case I needed to do an electronic signature. That's it! * In every case I was treated professionally and by genuinely friendly folks. * I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to walk out of the store 5 minutes after my appointment time on three separate occasions! For example grapefruit cost over $3 each, individual yogurt servings were over $3. They also have different prepared food each day. They also have a coffee shop, salad bar, and a deli. The food here was very reasonably priced and many locals ate lunch there. For breakfast they have the normal eggs, french toast, breakfast meat, etc. For lunch there is a menu that changes everyday (see photo). The first day we got BBQ ribs, Mac and cheese, and a spinach empanada. All of which were great. Next day we got pork chops, tuna salad, and a baked potato. The empanadas were different from the yellow Mexican type ones you get a most places. The crust was flakier but really good. They had some mini quail empanadas that were good. PRO TIP (Like my friend Winnie L): If you choose something like empanadas, seared salmon which are not hot, you can ask the staff to heat it up when you order. The salmon was simple but excellent. Folks kept telling me about the amazing Chorizo Breakfast Burrito, so I finally stopped in the morning to give it a go. This is that story. Arriving- It's on US Route 27 South and you can't miss it as the restaurant name is emblazoned on the canopy. See my picture. Parking is easy and if you have the need there are two handicapped spaces around the back near a second entrance. Ambience- The convenience store/restaurant is in the back and kind of combined. There are acres of cooler doors with every drink you can imagine including beer & wine. Just grab what you want to drink with your meal. Don't worry, you pay when you're finished. There is a bright and spotless dining area with a bunch of tables & booths. See my picture. Pro Tip- I'm a gringo and if you are also, you will be in the minority. Don't panic, you'll be made to feel very welcome! Food- This is an order at the window kind of place. There are some menus on the wall but not everything is included. Just ask. So, I asked for the famous Chorizo Breakfast Burrito- "Small or large? Small please." "Would you also like Beef & Cheese? Hell yes!" "Here or to-go? Here please." "What color sauce? Red please." But wait, this is a gas station review! Read on. Walmart is in bed with Murphy's. You can see them in front of hundreds of Walmart's. How do you take advantage of this? Double-Dip #1- Assuming you patronize Walmart, buy yourself a membership. It will cost you less than $100 and comes with tons of perks including gas discounts at Murphy's. How do you get the $? You tell the gas pump you are Walmart member by scanning a QRC code or punching in a code available on the Walmart app. See my picture. Double-Dip 2- Walmart is also in bed with Capital One. Get yourself a Walmart credit card. It has no fee. Pay for your gas with this card. So how much can you get Steven B? Depending on the deals going on I get at least 10 cents a gallon and sometimes up to 15! This can really add up over a year to some serous $$! Note, I believe the amounts might vary by state. The gas station itself is top notch. Up-to-date pumps and often the best price intown. The convenience store is spotless. I'm changing my rating from 4 to 5 stars!
