As a local resident who lives just a mile away, I have been pumping gas at this station every week…read moreor so for years. Today, however, I had a very unpleasant experience with the cashier at the front. I pulled into a stall and removed all the plugs from my tires in preparation to pump air. I then went inside to pay for the air, but the cashier refused to give me a token unless I first put gas in my car. I tried to reason with her that I was already prepared to pump air and that I would be putting gas in my car next, but she refused to budge. I was very disappointed with the cashier's attitude and lack of customer service. I am a loyal customer of this station, and I have never had a problem before. I find it unacceptable that the cashier would refuse to provide me with such a basic service, especially since I was already prepared to pay for it. In addition, I believe that the cashier's actions may be illegal under California law. California law requires gas stations to provide free air and water to customers who purchase gasoline or diesel fuel. Even though I had not yet put gas in my car, I was still a customer of the station and was entitled to free air. In the end, I did go back and pump gas but not the full tank as I had intended. I will not be returning to this gas station again. I urge other local residents to do the same. There are plenty of other gas stations in the area that will provide you with free air and better customer service. Terrible service!

My wife, who is 42, wasn't allowed to buy a lottery ticket because she didn't have ID. Fine--maybe that's the rule. But then I, a 36-year-old with grey hair and a full beard, was denied a lighter because I didn't show ID. The cashier insisted it was "state law," which is completely false. You don't even need to be 18 to buy a lighter in California. The staff here move like they're in slow motion and act like they've never been trained. It's like walking into a break room at a retirement home where no one knows what's going on. I'm all for protecting kids from adult products--but that's not what this is. This is incompetence, plain and simple. To the owner: pay a little more and hire people who can think. Right now, your store is staffed with the most clueless group of people I've ever seen in customer-facing roles. Do better.

There is a small mini mart at this gas station, but there are a lot of snacks and drinks to buy. During the middle of the day it does get crowded, so I often fill up early in the morning. BROKEN DOWN CAR WASH…read more The car wash is old & busted. It's the OLD kind where you pull in and stop, as opposed to the NEW ones like the one near my house, that pulls you through by your tire. So, I pulled in, obeyed ALL the green lights, red lights and the apparatus moved back and forth over my car and it never cleaned the front OR back and only did the sides. I'm not done yet...you also have a wonderful, clean, and convenient drive thru car wash you can purchase for $13...with a bonus of getting 20 or 30 cents off your fuel! I forgot which one it was. Then I was able to use my Ralphs Rewards for more money off!!! The car wash was a "magic wash" better than any of the ones I seen in other shells. But you have to drive onto a track. Someone came out to help me but I was still missing the point. Once I got it, the man was nice enough to actually soap down my front and back windshield by hand! It's where i can get a quick fill up, snack and a cold drink for the road. The gas pumps are easy to access, and the station is clean with very few homeless. It could be because there is a CHP station a block down. Inside the store there's a nice selection of drinks snacks and essentials. The staff is friendly. It's a reliable quick stop any time of day or night.
