Buc-ee's is more than a gas station... it's an experience! This one sits a little past halfway on the Nashville-to-Atlanta drive, so a lot of us hit it often, and that's my main gripe: it is way, way too crowded. Almost every visit, even off-peak, there's traffic just getting off the highway and into the lot. They don't manage it well for a lot this size, and it always feels like you're one distracted driver away from a fender bender. Parking is tough, sometimes requiring circling around or parking far away. I come here mostly for the clean bathrooms, so having to wait in line for the women's restroom on two recent visits felt outrageous given there must be fifty stalls in there. Inside, weird and tasty snacks galore. Everyone says get the brisket and jerky, but insiders know the breakfast burritos are the true star, fresh-made flour tortillas and all. The highlight of my last stop was dill pickle sour straws, handed out as samples, excellent. The sugar-roasted candied pecans look tempting but are rarely actually fresh and warm at this location, which is frustrating. Then there's a warehouse-worth of home goods, clothing, house supplies, and anything you can print a Bucc-ee on. The t-shirts are my favorite, absurdly soft, my fave for sleeping in. This spot is ultimately still a classic Buc-ee's experience. But the crowds and the traffic and the general hassle make me think twice about stopping. Gas here is cheap, though not the cheapest on the route.

There are a few snacks. It's also an awesome place to just grab a beer and sit for a while ( people watch). I have also met and talked with some interesting passerby's. You can rent a bike or take a Segway tour. The most important thing is the fun friendly staff there. I know most of them by name and vice versa. I would like to see just a little bit more food there.... maybe some fresh breakfast and lunch sandwiches. But... maybe in the future.

The store is in good condition. Inside was clean and well taken care, but the exterior pump areas could use some attention. A friend and myself visited this store yesterday around 5 or 6 pm to get coffee. Upon entering…read morethere was a "now hiring" sign on the door. Noticed a handful of other customers standing in the checkout line. When we went to the coffee machine there was an elderly couple standing there staring at a young female cashier. There was also a male cashier running opposite register. Looked and there was half a pot of coffee in 1 of the pots, the other 2 were empty. Picked the coffee pot up that had coffee, took a whiff and it smelled old/scorched. My friend goes to the young cashier named Jess asking if she could make fresh coffee since she only had 1 customer in her line and 3 or 4 customers in the other line. We are told yes but will be a few because she was working on a customers craft beer order. The elderly couple inform us they've been waiting quite a while for her or someone to fix fresh coffee. As we stood around waiting, a gentleman Jess referred to as Larry/Lenny (can't remember exact name) came into the store and Jess started asking Larry to make fresh coffee. We asked if he works there and are informed he does not, he lives across the street from the store. while he's making the coffee the elderly man that had been standing there long before us walks up to the register asking Jess a question. As he turns to walk back towards us, this Jess throws her hands up in the air and starts making an aggravated/scouring face at the elderly gentleman. My friend and I look at each other in total disbelief. After the coffee has finished, we fix ours and go up to pay. The cashier, Jess was nice and all to us as we paid.... But we will never return to that location where the employee is so blatantly unprofessional and disrespectful. She had a neighbor to the store, fix the coffee, was disrespectful to the elderly couple that had been waiting for who knows how long. MegaStar should be ashamed for customers being treated that way and having a cashier who is too lazy to step out behind the counter to clean the coffee station and keep fresh coffee going.
