I love this circle k but my issue is you guys have a young female working at night especially by herself handling the crazies who come in late night. A male should be scheduled or hired or even get security. A lot of homeless come there and I feel bad that girl has to handle this alone. Born and raised in this city. First time I've been to this location in 15 years and pulled in to spot (with my husband!) and still locked my doors! Couldn't believe it. Didn't feel safe. Inside every transaction is slowed and complicated by "Do you want to donate your change..."? or "Do you need a lighter today"?. The graveyard shift guy asks me every time if I'm old enough to buy cigs. It stopped being funny after the first time. Outside the lot can be packed with cars yet no one is in the store...? ! This is especially true in the morning and around lunch time. Homeless people accost you for change, gas money and cigs. It gets old. Now the WORST: A tweeker chased me out of the parking lot in his mini van Sunday morning when I refused politely to give him a cig. He started yelling and cursing me and actually tried to start a road rage fight with me. He gave up after about 1/2 mile. I regret now not calling the police. He would have been easy to identify with those 2 teeth. I've lived in Redlands over 4 years now. I won't be coming back to this circle K. A couple of the guys there are cool. This Circle K has absolutely the worst customer service ever! I have been in there twice and both times was treated terribly. One of the male cashiers is the slowest cashier I have ever seen in all my 52 years. The other cashier, possibly the manager, is prejudiced towards his friends. Both times, I was next in line and he pulled his friends in front of me and rang them up first. This is a ridiculous way to treat your customers. I'm here at least every other day. They have inexcusable problems with inventory. Close to 50% of the time they don't have the vodka I want to buy. That's a very high profit item so not having it is a massive problem from a business point of view. Vodka does not go bad so there is no sense of not having it on hand. Also, today, there were several hot dogs on the rollers and I was looking for a cheap dinner. Unfortunately there were no buns! Buy all my gas there, my company gas is bought there totaling over $600 per month. Today it stops!!! I put my card in the pump to fill up and it asked if it was a debit card, I pushed no and it came up, begin fueling. At $22 dollars and change the pump turned off. While I was trying to figure out what happened an employee came out and said money was inadvertently put on my pump and I owe whatever was put in because it was somebody else's money. Ok, no problem. I had to go around to lock my car and she stood there waiting for me. I said, did you think I was going to drive off and steal 22 dollars worth of gas? She says, you never know. Fairly new car and all, me in my 60's and a constant customer. Which, by the way, they never recognize. Every time I go in there it's like the first time. They're required, I think, to say welcome or something when you walk in but it's just words. They don't care. I then gave the girl bills and was asking her to wait so I could give the change, boom! The change flew out of the automatic change machine and I was done. I said I was going to give you the change. It's automatic, someone else piped in. Well, it's not automatic if you put in that you received exactly what you were asking for, I said. You want me to make change, she says? Meanwhile, the one watching me so I wouldn't drive away simply walked away and this was THEIR fault! No sorry for the inconvenience sir, sorry I thought you were going to leave without paying. Nothing. I said, I buy lots of gas and other things here but it ends today. "Ok, sorry". Mistakes happen but when it's your mistake, be a bit more kind and understanding of someone that looks ok and 99.99999% chance they won't run without straightening out what YOU messed up. I don't like writing negative feedback but I'm just tired of people who work, that were probably thrilled when they got the job, making me feel like an inconvenience. Particularly in a convenience store!! I'm sure she needs that job but I really hope she can reflect on how she treated me and improve her skills. What people don't get today is all they have to do is go above and beyond and they'll be running the place in short order because most of the other workers just think of it as a job and an inconvenience to have to be there. Just got My car washed and came to see more than half my change was missing including a half dollar. Went over to talk to the manager and he did not care one bit. Never once apologized and his response was "well nothing I can do I will talk to them" He made a comment that this never happens. (Missing money) just from his attitude and the lack of care shows this is a reoccurring problem and he just doesn't care. They should really get someone in there that care before losing more business. read more
