I pumped my gas, then headed over to get a car wash. The young guy explained the various full service options and helped me to select the best one. He even explained the point system to receive free washes with their loyalty program. In the past I've had anxiety about going through the car wash because my wiper blades almost got ripped off. The owner Steve walked up and said on the Lexus you just hold up the gear and it keeps the mist wiper sensor off. He was very confident and convincing. Now I was comfortable proceeding through. I could tell this was some high-tech cleaning machines like no other I had been to. Once the wash was over I proceeded to the full service drying station. The guys vacuumed and cleaned my car like a professional detailing company! I was beyond pleased. I've never received this service at any other car wash! They even asked me to look it over and if anything needed more attention. Wow! All that for only $26! I waited in their comfortable waiting area. Which had tvs and lounge chairs. Not your typical waiting area. I decided to go inside the market and check it out. This was not your average gas station. When I tell you this was the cleanest store I've ever seen. They sold everything from clothing to wine! I took advantage and did a little shopping while there and purchased some soft served ice yogurt with toppings. Y'all it was too good and inexpensive. This was hands down my best experience and I'll be coming back twice a month. Check back for more reviews on this business. You will definitely not be disappointed.

The gas part is well suited to the task of dispensing fuel; the pumps are up to date, abundant, and I've never seen one broken. The store is very convenient and aside from a slightly up-scale wine display it is stocked with the usual amounts of the usual items in the usual fashion. The availability of coffee and coffee related products and services is typical of the area: large pots of indeterminate vintage off to the side behind the smoothies and fountain beverages. Baked goods are all packaged which is kind of sad but the outdoor seating is usually occupied by people smoking cigarettes too close to the main entrance anyway. A bit off of I-77 but worth the trip…read more This place is about a mile west of I-77 on NC 150 aka River Hwy. Relatively new and very clean. When you get off of I-77, pay attention to the price of gas. It's starts dropping off pretty quickly until you get to Quik Trip. Today it was 10 cents per gallon less expensive for the Premium I have to use. Have only gone inside for food one time because there are so many restaurant around but one day I did grab a quick sausage in a bun and it was good unlike most of the ones you find where they have been on the heaters for hours. Food was good if that's what you want but again, a lot more variety outside. Only used the restrooms once and they were very clean, trashcans were empty and no extraneous odors. If you're willing to drive that extra mile, you can save a bit of money although at rush hour, River Hwy can be clogged and slow.

She brought her "Manager" named Shannon to the front counter to mishandle a simple return. Both of them clearly hate customers, so spend your money elsewhere. Nothing seriously wrong here but aside from geography and traffic patterns there's not much to really draw a crowd. Gas is in line with others locally, likewise for the variety and prices of snacks and beverages inside. Pastry and coffee to the right as you come in, fountain beverages and prepared foods across the way, coolers full of bottles on the back wall with an assortment of conveniences filling the middle ground. Odd that a paved space adjacent to the building isn't occupied by some sort of mobile snack-shack or burger-buggy but what do I know about actually running a business? Mostly I confine myself to commenting on what others are doing well.

Still if you're sticking with Shell, it's one of your few options. No need to go into the store unless you need a receipt and the pump does not give it to you. Ended up being the case. This Rushco isn't the big fancy Amoco station out by the lake at BSR and Stutts, it's the BP…read morestation nearer to the credit-challenged part of town where Brawley runs into Route 21 and becomes Wilson Avenue near the golf course... Inside is the usual assortment of the usual things in the usual manner with plenty of room to put in a couple tables to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee and some fresh baked goods or sammiches if they ever decide to upgrade the place. This is a smaller store but it still works and the price is right so I continue to stop in to fill up when I'm in the area. Easy in from Brawley School or Charlotte Hwy and the traffic light makes getting back out a pretty straightforward task. BTW: The speed limit is 45 MPH on either road so pull out like you mean it on green. Outside there are six islands with two pumps on each so plenty of opportunities to fill your tank(s) with a minimum of waiting. Off to the side is a car washer that seem to do an acceptable job of removing the filth and shining up your car's finish and a vacuum for the mess inside.

They have a weird policy of coming over the intercom at the pump saying "welcome to Rushco." While you may be thinking 'Hey that's great, there greeting customers,' it probably would be great if the people doing it spoke with any positive tone. It normally comes off as someone who is being forced to do it. Speaking of being forced to say or do something. One of the few times I've been inside I grabbed a drink and paid inside for gas. The attendant, an older man who looked like he had never smiled in his life asked me if I wanted a car wash. I was driving a truck and trailer and jokingly said 'I'm not sure if that will fit in the wash' and he repeated in the same monotone 'Car wash, yes or no?' Pretty off-putting. A very clean store, nice and organized. The lady I'm assuming is the manager seems pretty nice too. I understand that it's hard to get people that want to do a good job at a convenient store, but the service I got was off-par and discourages me to return. I hope management makes an effort in training staff better on customer service, or looks into incentives for staff to want to do a good job! Would be a great store if they could nail service!
