This RaceTrac is located in Marathon and seems to be one of only a few stations that I know and trust. It seems I wasn't the only one with this opinion on a weekday morning - this place was busy, either they are competitively priced or they have great coffee, I filled my coffee cup before leaving the campground so I only need a credit card and a empty lane at the fuel island. No issues with the pump everything worked alright including the receipt dispenser. Navigating my exit was a little like playing "frogger" it seemed everyone was in a hurry to exit but me. I exercised my patience and waved a few vehicles on being they apparently were late for something as for me I only need to get behind a line of cars heading south with the windows down and the tunes turned up breathing in the salty air. I'm not saying this is the only option or even the best option to fuel up but it is on the right side of the road if you're heading southbound making your exit and entrance onto the overseas highway pretty easy as for the Jeep she purred like a kitten with her tank filled...

Therefore if you see a gas station and the fuel light is lighted up on your dashboard you need to immediately stop at the first place that you see. No need to shop around and risk running out of gas. That is what happened to me on this last visit to the Keys. I thought I would make it to Florida City on the way back but ran low way before so I stopped at this Mobil station and filled up my tank. It was easy peasy swiped my credit card and self filled up. While their my family also took the opportunity to use the facilities of the restrooms and get a snack at the convenience store inside. Me I was just happy to have a full tank took my recipt generated at the pump and left until next time.

Comparing the price per gallon to gas stations in Key Largo, Islamorada, and Key West, it was even more significantly cheaper as the prices in most of the keys average from $3.89 to $5 per gallon. We made a mental note to return to this Tom Thumb on our return home. It was a refreshing savings on a full tank. So, for the best and cheapest gas in the keys, fill up in Marathon.

I have had to dump fuel from my boat tanks several times to fix the problem. I also blew up my HPDI 200 because of the same reason. I now own a Suzuki outboard and there was water everywhere in the fuel system. I found out from a fuel delivery truck they actually add water to the underground tanks to raise the fuel so the owner of the business does not loose fuel sitting below the pump pic up lines. There is no telling when you will get water in your tank at this place. Do yourself a favor and avoid buying cheap gas from this crooked vender. I are never will again!!
