Cashier said I need to see your I.D. under normal circumstances I don't have a problem with this as I know most places card I'm 53 years old you can tell I'm of age. Problem I had with this transaction is she did not ask for the person who had purchased cigarettes prior to me for I.D .my biggest problem with this is gentleman in from of me was white and yes I look Hispanic. I was born and raised here by the way. Was this a racial issue or simple incompetence I welcome someone from Murphy to review tapes. I run a fleet of 27 vehicles that fill up at multiple locations in central Florida and I'm not sure if I'll keep doing business at this location.

Well that being said they were the only ones in the immediate area with diesel fuel left so being the gracious business that they are they raised their price to $2.99. Nothing like a business trying to make a few extra bucks by exploiting the residents during a natural disaster. It is called price gouging. I reported them to the state an hour ago. Do not spend your hard earned money at a place that tried to screw people during a time of need!

Turns out they were closed unfortunately but noticed movement inside. The new owners approached us and let us know that they are opening back up soon! They will have the pumps back on with food and drinks inside hopefully within the next couple of weeks. Really convenient place to stop if you're headed to the lake! The water and Powerade I've purchased in the past were like all the other (higher priced than it should be...it's the convenience you pay for) If you want to be entertained by the locals that hang out there, then this Circle K is the place to go. I stopped here to fuel up on my way to the west coast of Florida and probably would have reviewed this station a little higher if I hadn't gone inside to use the facilities- The condition of the fueling island was fair, this place is beginning to show it's age but still functioning fine including dispensing the receipt at the pump, the interior of the store is filled with a little of everything that can be monetized. I paid at the pump so my decision to go inside was definitely not for a shopping spree - as I waited for a customer to exit the restroom I noticed the staff was busy interacting with some of the locals it seems this station provides a lot more for those living in the area than those of us passing through and it appears to definitely be an asset for the community. I didn't make any additional purchases but it looked like the coffee and soda fountain get a fair share of use as well as the hot dog roller grill that was partially filled. It common to see excess inventory stacked in any available space and at this location cases of beer occupy those areas. If there is any negative it's probably the men's restroom itself - it's in need of a major renovation, I can't say for sure if it's dirty it just appears that way, the fixtures were old and there is no hand paper dispense just an old hand dryer mounted near the old porcelain sink with a hand activated faucet - hands free fixtures would be a much better solution, I couldn't wait to get back to my truck and use the Clorox Wipes but most seem oblivious to the issues so it's all good...

I first visited this way back in the day and they always were the station to use on this side of town when going into Floral City from Inverness. The prices were like all convenience stores. I really liked the variety of flavored bottled sodas they stocked way back when. They still have soda, but in plastic like all the other quick stops. I've only been in there a few times over the last year to get a water or 2 on my way through Floral City to Tampa. It's not my regular station for gas, but gas prices are ok compared to the others by them. They appeared to be clean. My wife used the restroom and she didn't complain to me so, I guess it was cleaned ok. It's probably the station you want to stop at if you passed by the Circle K a few miles down the road in Inverness and you are on empty heading through Floral City or into Brooksville. I don't know what's going on at Culvers ; but they are definitely going down hill. For me they used to be so good and I went there 2 -3 times a week. Now with the disappearing hamburger patty and the over salted onion rings I must look elsewhere. In all fairness , they have some tasty items on the menu I'm sure but when they killed the American Burger ; I'm out !
