This gas station looked so lonely without any reviews, that I felt compelled to give it a little…read morecompany. If you are heading east toward Houston, it's a very convenient fueling stop. It's a reasonably good gas station that has decent prices for a major brand. Exxon doesn't really go for putting Marketing-Gimmick Additives in their fuel like Techron, V-Power, or Superfly. I'm not sure if that stuff really works or is glorified Car Placebo. I rarely have to wait for a pump, even in rush hour. They get tons of volume, so the pump area has its share of wear and tear. A small convenience store is jam packed with stuff and the staff is pretty friendly. And their Powerball machine is never broken. Which is pretty key, as that jackpot forms the lynchpin of my financial plans. A-OK in my book. They get my business.

The light came on this morning on the way to work, but I told myself as long as the needle is above the 'E' mark, I'll be fine. I make it to work and I go through the whole day without thinking about filling up my gas tank. I may have even left the office for a brief bit for lunch and yet I still didn't fill up the gas tank. So it's the end of the work day and I'm ready to go home, or go to meet up with friends, or go to work out, or whatever... the point is I have to be somewhere... and then I realize the FREAKING LIGHT IS STILL ON THE NEEDLE IS RIDING THE BOTTOM HALF OF THE 'E' MARK AND NOW I REALLY REALLY REALLY F@#$@#IN NEED GAS. Thank goodness for this Shell station on the way home just off I-10. You have saved me on more than one occasion from being THAT GUY. It's like that scene in Jean Claude Van Damme's Bloodsport... where JCVD is giving advice to his buddy who's about to fight the big bad asian guy. Frank Dux: Go for the gut. He's soft there. Maybe because it's kind of tucked away at the end of a strip mall but the explores and employees take pride in having the place stay clean. The employees greet you loudly when you walk in so you can hear them over the music. They are so sweet and professional in our brief interactions so shout out to them! I feel like they could have a tad more assortment on drinks, candy, and snack. They probably have something adjacent to what you are hankering for so that's pretty nice! I like to grab the tall cans of Coke but they don't carry them. It's all good. I'm not supposed to be drinking soda. Definitely will be back!

Here she is doing her famous pose at one of the better gas stations west of Houston, right off the south side of I-10 and very convenient, forgive the pun. I-10 runs from Santa Monica's Pacific Ocean in the West LA burbs, all the way to Jacksonville on the Atlantic Coast, and a little over halfway across starting from Cali, you will run into this gas station just before you get into Houston proper. It's a pretty good convenience store and they sell Barbi's fave water, and have a bathroom you can use after that long drive across the T to the X, and in general are a pretty good place to stop for gas right off the highway, and not too expensive, and it's open 24 hours which is a huge bonus.
