I was…read moreexcited to see a brand new store with lots of merchandise and all refreshing decor as most new gas stations do. I frequent this convenient store for quick grabs and filling up my low pressured tires. It has not changed much. The facility is clean and staff is still friendly as the day it opened. This Chevron gas station has 20 gas pumps with 8 diesel pumps on both sides of station. There is a drive-thru car wash station. This place is really large, which means many commercial trucks can fit in the lot. Best of all, it's all lit up at night - like a lighthouse sending out beacon on Little York St. I have been waiting for next door to open. I think it needs a place to compliment the great features at Hollis Mart. Can we get a chain restaurant here, please?

That next day Saturday my card was hacked and used at a Pilot gas station over off McCarty Rd on the east side of Houston a few times, b4 the fraud dept. caught it. They apparently was recorded my zip code from using credit at the gas stations because I never use pin# (they'll really robb you then, by going to the ATM).. so they were apparently selling gas to the truck drivers and getting cash...though I got all my money back, I sure wish they caught they ass..

This is a most modern, clean and organized Valero service station, even it's been open over 2…read moreyears. Everything still looks new as the day it opened. This gas station has a large fueling area for big trucks and 8 gas pumps for regular cars in a very large lot. There is also a Subway sandwich shop inside. They don't skimp on the ingredients. I've never seen a wine rack and sitting area in a gas station. But they have them all. I've been here many times since it opened, mostly weekends and nights. The well-lit service area is a big plus. The store closes at midnight. You need to deal with the cashier through the little window. The pricing is a little tricky. Cash and Valero cards get discounts (price is on the top), while the credit card price is 15 cents higher. They also carry diesel. What else can you ask for?

I used to come here daily to get a cup of fresh coffee until I got myself a Keurig machine. The staff was always changing. Customers were more transients than regulars. My recent visits were just to get air to my tires. I had an unusual encounter, but not unusual I'm this part of town. People would get into your space. Don't come after dark. Too many weirdos want my leftover air time. Get your own or get lost! So. Let's be patient. Let's wait till gas station returns with new car wash and new everything. Nothing against the employees but my service was routine or small issues such as the losing money on the air machine. In defense of a business of this sort, they likely interact with 100's of customers daily, many with gripes, in a hurry, having a bad day or just simply nothing pleasant. However I do take exception to not having things on the premises that work properly (air machine) only to dismiss it. That experience on top of having gas prices slightly higher than the other near by gas stations with out no apparent reason.

The equipment malfunctions I've experienced on a repeated, long-term basis are: air compressor does not work; employees do not refill the paper at the pumps, requiring customers to go inside for receipts; and there's not a single squeegee that's not dry-rotted. Once I realized the wash was not working I informed the attendant who was very rude and proceeded to tell me it was not in their authority to provide a refund despite physically seeing my vehicle hadn't went through the wash. I get my vehicle washed twice a week at the least and unfortunately I have went through this once before and they did not hesitate to refund me once verifying I didn't receive what I had purchased. The entire encounter with the attendant made me believe they knew very well the wash was down and because I was paying cash saw it as an opportunity to steal.

There is a huge gap between the pumps and the convenient store. When the parking lot is busy, do fear for fast drivers when walking toward the cashier. However, it appeared quieter when there is no panhandling compared with Valero. The convenient store's door opens 24/7, Valero doesn't. Currently, gas prices are below $2. There is not much to compare. I come here mainly because of Kroger Rewards discount. Otherwise, nothing special about it.

The best part of this location is the grill they have in the back. They are open for breakfast and lunch. I have tried the breakfast tacos from there on numerous occasions and they are pretty good. I mainly come by here for a quick lunch to take back to the office and eat. My favorite item they have is the Mexican Philly Cheese steak. It is very tasty. They cook the meat on the grill with onions, bell peppers and jalapenos. They toast the bun in the juices left from the meat. Next comes a topping of melted white cheese which I think is American. Put it all together and you have a delicious sandwich dripping with juice. It is also very warm, so if you have a drive back to work it is still super hot when you get there.
