I used to come here daily to get a cup of fresh coffee until I got myself a Keurig machine. The staff was always changing. Customers were more transients than regulars. My recent visits were just to get air to my tires. I had an unusual encounter, but not unusual I'm this part of town. People would get into your space. Don't come after dark. Too many weirdos want my leftover air time. Get your own or get lost! So. Let's be patient. Let's wait till gas station returns with new car wash and new everything. Nothing against the employees but my service was routine or small issues such as the losing money on the air machine. In defense of a business of this sort, they likely interact with 100's of customers daily, many with gripes, in a hurry, having a bad day or just simply nothing pleasant. However I do take exception to not having things on the premises that work properly (air machine) only to dismiss it. The prices are not bad at this location but I will not sit there for 15 minutes and let my rather small 32 gallon diesel tank or my rather small 17 gallon Toyota Highlander tank take that long to feel to save a couple cents per gallon. Since this corner store changed the moniker from Bucky's then to Casey's and now Star Stop, it has gone down hill. It was as if each name change took with it a layer of polish, leaving only discarded cigarette butts and scattered graffiti. More than a third of the pumps are down, and every other one looks as if someone has tried to hack into the credit card readers. The inside is in ever worse condition. Every inch of the floors are sticky. The pizza station has no attendant. The roller grill is greasy and empty. The cold case of "fresher" items is poorly maintained and has spoiled food. And finally, the worst offender. Avoid the bathrooms at all costs. The sinks are filthy with loose spigots. This convenience store has drinks, adult beverage, and regular juices and soda. Also some frozen…read moredesserts like Popsicles and ice cream sandwiches. It's also watched to a Washateria and Smoke Shop. The Washateria is basically "all digital" from the standpoint that you can put money (cash or debit/credit card) onto a digital card. The card does cost $1 for the first time you get it. You can use Cash to upload onto the digital card. The bathroom typically doesn't have soap to wash your hands and there's only one bathroom in the facility. I never was able to get the Wi-Fi password to work but I think the gas station attendant next-door might have access. Over the last several months in going there to wash sheets or blankets and larger items, there's typically a washing machine and or dryer that is out of service . The wash machines range from $2.50 per load to $4.50 to $6.50 to $8.50 depending on the size. The dryers are powerful and very large and about $1 or $1.25 per cycle. This is right next to a 24 hour convenience store so if you need a snack, it's a good place. Also, there's a pretty decent Taqueria in the Shell gas station parking lot.
