After using the restroom, he came back outside. Shortly after, the manager came out and accused him of stealing. We immediately showed him our pockets and explained that nothing was taken, and even asked him to check the cameras. Despite this, he threatened to call the police and told us to leave the picnic area for "loitering." The situation felt completely unnecessary and was handled very poorly. Even after it became clear that nothing was taken, there was no apology instead, we were removed from an area meant for customers. Given how the situation unfolded, it also felt potentially racially motivated. Overall, this was an uncomfortable and unprofessional experience. I would recommend going elsewhere if you have other options.

Pharmacist Jerry absolutely deserves a six-star rating for his dedication and helpfulness. He went above and beyond the call of duty to secure medication for us, tirelessly coordinating transfers with another CVS all the way in Connecticut. Loretta, the lead team tech, was equally fantastic. Professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about her work, she's building a new team that promises to be amazing! Even under pressure, Jerry and Loretta were the epitome of composure and kindness. They never let on the challenges they might have been facing while ensuring we received exceptional service. Only thing that would have made this more epic is if J and silent Bob was there but alas not all dreams can come true. If they weren't, you would have to drive - rather than be able to walk - outside of Sea Bright to find anything even remotely comparable. This is a cute little convenience store located in the Sandy Hook unit of Gateway National…read moreRecreation Area. It is very walkable from the visitor center near the lighthouse, and also has parking spots available along the side of the building. Out front are a couple of cute red picnic tables, which also made it easy to see the osprey nest that they have across the street, which was quite hopping at the time of our visit as the birds flew in and out. Inside are a selection of souvenirs and basic foods. T-shirts, keychains, postcards, and the like are available near the seating area by the entrance (a couple of interior tables are available), and then there is food closer to the counter. A small selection of premade sandwiches and drinks are in the cooler, there is an ice cream treats cooler, fresh fruit is out on the counter. There is also a selection of scoopable ice cream flavors for cups or cones, milkshakes, and frozen lemonade. There is a soup of the day and grilled hot dogs were coming out from the back. We opted for ice cream cups - the mint chocolate chunk was great!, hot dogs, and tried the tomato based veggie soup, which had great chunks of veggies in it and was nice for the cooler day. After stepping inside McFly's, I was a little disappointed to find out the only ice cream they have is prepackaged (the kind you'd see in a supermarket or corner store). But my slight disappointment went away after seeing that there was cold brew on tap serving a local brand, Fair Mountain Coffee Roasters in Atlantic Highlands. The cold brew was really good and satisfied my craving for something cold after spending the whole day on the beach. I had a chuckle with the owner, Mr. McFly himself, when he explained to me in his Irish brogue, "the tap works just like a beer tap, not that you're old enough to know anything about that" (I'm a couple years older than 21!). There were also some prepackaged foods for sale, which is nice if you're in a pinch and want a quick snack.
