This place is excellent. Probably the nicest people working in Henry Co…read more I stop in here just about every afternoon and I am always greeted with a smile and positive attitude. They even started carrying a product that only my wife and I specifically purchase. That's going the extra mile for a customer. I'm not originally from the area, but they make me feel like I'm part of their family. Thumbs up to every employee there.

So, sometimes you have an exceptional experience in an ultra-ordinary place…read more I'm on a super long drive and staying in a crappy hotel off of I-75 and I just walked to this Shell Station to get some snacks. I was greeted by the presumed owner like I was a long lost relative with a hearty "Welcome!" and when I checked out, he cracked a little joke, asked me politely about my day, and said "please" and "thank you" at every possible turn. And then he asked if he could help carry my bag to my car (which held a 6-pack and two big waters, and I had other stuff in hand, so it was a totally appropriate but unexpected offer). That is an extremely sharp contrast to the general disdain and annoyance I've encountered at the gas stations and convenience stores on my long route- about 20 hours at this point. And while I hold no grudges, and would, surely, be super annoyed myself in that job, that only supports my point of exceptionalism in the mundane. And if I someone else stops here, instead of across the street, as a result... then let's score one for kindness and good graces.

As you walk through the store the aisles are set up to aid you in getting in and out. As I was there for ice, I still had to acknowledge the business as the store was clean, the cashiers were friendly, and for those who drink they have options on top of options. Even the nip options are in abundance. LoL!!

While there to pick up a prescription, the counter clerk, besides being very slow and ponderous, proceeded to dump a large container of syringes into another container right in front of me at the counter.
