The location is on a large lot, spacious bays and easily accessible (just be careful when attempting to turn left onto Hammonds Plains Rd when exiting from the roadside exit).Everything about the place seems brand spanking new, the Needs convenience store on-site is well stocked with all my favorites (like Powerade Zero *grin*) and the staff are always friendly. Hammonds Plains and surroundings aren't densely populated and so if you're from the local area, sooner or later you get to know everyone that works there, and they get to know you as well. Nice to have a small town touch

We decided to stop in on the way back to pick up bottled water and a couple other things for our hotel room. I stayed in the car while my husband did a quick run in and out. Hard to comment about the prices because of currency in Canadian and we are from US so everything seems so much cheaper. Posted sign says 2 - 24 pk water for $5. That would be $3.66 U.S. Dollar! Mostly because its more easily accessible by car (Bedford hwy intersection with HP rd can be a nightmare). There are also many more box stores in the immediate surroundings, so I get more done on a single trip when I come out. Its also super convenient if you work out at the Goodlife fitness around the corner. You can often see a lot of buff bodies roaming the aisles in the store at any given time. The layout is a little weird, but you get used to it. The refrigerators that line the back of the store take some getting used to.. I keep forgetting where to get the yogurt vs cottage cheese and other dairy products. The staff are super nice here, and the shelves seem to be better stocked, especially in produce, than many other grocery stores around. That brings me to my next point in that its usually much quieter than other Sobeys or Superstores. You're unlikely to find long lineups here on even the busiest days.

The Slighty Longer Version: When I'm traveling I love to check out supermarkets for local products that I can't get at home. While I was in this shopping complex because we had lunch nearby, I decided to stop in to poke around. I was mostly interested in local drinks and snacks. I was pleased to see they had an entire display of locally produced items. They also had some local goods sprinkled throughout the store. Honestly, other than that, it was just a regular supermarket under the Loblaws banner. However, I liked that they gathered the local products together, so tourists like me and locals who want to support local can easily find products made in Halifax/Nova Scotia. Lots of free parking available in the shopping complex parking lot. Review #123 (2026)

These things are annoying but what happened today was quite upsetting. The product I was purchasing was on sale, but the deal was you had to buy 2 to get the sale price. As it happened there was only 1 left. I would gladly have bought the 2 items to get the sale price but they didn't have 2. Is that really my fault? Should I have to pay the price for their inability to keep the shelves stocked. It may seem like a small thing to some but in these times of rampant inflation every penny of savings counts.
