I find the pumps are faster than a lot of other stations where I find that $30 takes 4 or more minutes to pump! I always use my Petro points card as well. So, giving this a lower rating because of the gas price is not fair. What my rating is based on Is customer service and location. I haven't really been into a bad situation here so nothing from there. I usually just pay outside, so communication is rare, only if I buy something from inside. The problem I think is the location. This is located where the main highway 102 starts, and as you may suspect, this is where people accelerate. Well, trying to turn your car to enter the area of the gas station is a test. You make a mistake, you pay for your life. One or two incidents have occurred in the past, explaining why people coming out of the highway are NOT allowed to make a left to Romans avenue. So be careful!

The Petro Canada on Quinpool is in a prime location and their convenience is clearly noted by many…read morebecause this place is always packed when I walk by. I've stopped in a few times to grab some treats for the road. They have a limited variety and supply of goods for sale, mainly a few different flavors of chips, candy and pop, pretty much what you would expect from a gas station. The real draw for people to Petro-Canada is the fact that they have a CAA approved auto service center at this location as well. This is where my dad takes his car to get it inspected because he says they are quicker and cheaper than any where else he's gone. Hot Hint: Want to get the best deal on gas without driving around and wasting your gas to find it? The PetroCanada website lists the most recent gas price at each of it's service locations.

Fast Fuels is a solid gas station, but I do feel the name set some pretty aggressive expectations…read more I showed up ready for a race car pit stop and instead got a perfectly normal, slightly leisurely fueling experience. That said, the place was clean, easy to get in and out of, and did exactly what a gas station is supposed to do, which is honestly more than can be said for some places. Good stop overall. Just maybe rename it "Reasonably Prompt Fuels" and we've got a perfect 5.

I like many of the new Needs slash FastFuel locations that have been popping up lately....They're…read moreclean, well located and I like their variety of snacks etc. In this case, the location is great; right near where I do a lot of my grocery shopping, haircuts, drugstore etc. Oh, before I forget, a lot of the older GPS and in-car navigation systems don't have this gas station listed because the area is fairly new. That goes for other shops in the vicinity as well. So.. don't go careening off a cliff trying to look for this place ;) Aside from that, my visits there have been uneventful, but theres never really a lineup for gas, everything is quick and clean and efficient and you get airmiles

The location is on a large lot, spacious bays and easily accessible (just be careful when attempting to turn left onto Hammonds Plains Rd when exiting from the roadside exit).Everything about the place seems brand spanking new, the Needs convenience store on-site is well stocked with all my favorites (like Powerade Zero *grin*) and the staff are always friendly. Hammonds Plains and surroundings aren't densely populated and so if you're from the local area, sooner or later you get to know everyone that works there, and they get to know you as well. The prices are awful, but all gas stations offer that same awful price. The staff inside was as friendly as any gas station attendant would/could be. Lots of selection for snacks, smokes, bevies, and car needs in store. If I need gas when driving by this place again, I'll be back!

We were driving a rental car from Liverpool, NS back to Halifax and filled up at this Esso before returning the car. I really had to pee so reluctantly asked the attendant for the key to the washroom. To my amazement the washroom was clean and well maintained. I was so happy. The attendant was pleasant. Other than the location being a bit difficult to get in and out of and the clean washroom, everything else about this Esso is the same was other Essos, lol. Review #131 (2026)

I am a regular at this gas station normally I get good customer service but today was the worst…read morecustomer service I ever got. The staff on the cash was very cold and rude and to top it off the manager was only 3 feet away from the staff and nothing was said to them so very very sad . Out of 100% customer service I would give 2% customer service. Its nothing like before I can tell you.

This is our stop for local gas. We are avid Air Miles collectors and buy all our gas from Shell…read more Though this Shell can be hit or miss sometimes, I find it to be rather friendly service and Eddie is great to chat with! It has different hours than most nearby gas stations and isn't open past 10 (sometimes earlier on the weekends), but it's worth stoping by during weekdays when we usually need to fill up anyways. The pumps are older design, so no pay at the pump, and no full service, but everything in this day and age is so instant, it's nice to go in and chat with the attendant.

It seems like everytime I stop by here to get gas, the pumps are either inefficient (ie. most of them are "out of service"), or they are closed altogether (the place closes extremely early considering it's a gas station, and the other service stations in the area remain open late into the night). Also, the gas station has an old-fashioned design, meaning there is no option to "pay at the pump" when you're in a hurry or when there are line-ups at the pumps. Maybe a trivial thing, but it's an inconvience no less.
