Parking is really tight, as there are not a lot of spots and they are shared with all the businesses in the strip mall. The actual store is a good size. They don't have hot food, but have a good selection of drinks. Lots of Froster flavours, Polar Pop (although the machine was out of order when I was there), and coffee. They have chips and other snacks too. I tried 4 Froster flavours and they were all much runnier than at other locations. I like my Frosters thick! Lol. Staff were pleasant. Convenient if I'm getting gas and need to pop in to get something else, but if I'm not getting gas, I prefer to go to other Circle Ks in the area.

They have a huge selection of Froster flavours. Twelve different flavours! I secretly love Frosters, and love making a rainbow Froster with all the different flavours, lol. Prices are consistent among all Circle K's, so the difference really rests on how big the store is, how much selection they have, and how friendly the staff are. The city has a high number of standalone Circle K store, which is cool and different to me. Markham does not have any to my knowledge. Circle K stores tend to be attached to Esso stations in my area. My original plan was to visit the one on Laurier Avenue East. Sadly, I couldn't find a spot to park. I attempted to go around the block and ended up at this store on Osgoode Street instead. I found street parking all three times. There was a small parking lot on the right when you are looking at the store. However, it looked like it was for another business, so I completely skipped giving parking there a try. What stands out about this store is the large variety of Froster flavours. The number of flavours was easily in the double digits. Insane! I got a couple of Frosters here. I did Barq's root beer with lime Crush. I also did Mountain Dew purple thunder and orange Crush. Both were small and a lot of fun consuming on hot summer days. Staff are friendly here. They do enjoy doing upselling. I ended up getting Tic Tac candies. There was some deal going on. They did come in handy. Otherwise, I said no to everything else that they were trying to sell me. I got a number of AriZona drinks here. The selection was wonderful. I never duplicated my flavours. I realize that practically all my purchases were beverages. I also got a small English toffee. I wasn't sure if I could down a hot drink on a 30+°C day. I did it in my car and it was enjoyable. If you are a coffee drinker, this store has Monin sugar-free syrups to make your coffee fancier. I loved this addition. This store has a number of prepackaged foods, such as sandwiches and hamburgers. I loved this setup. There was a huge counter in the middle of the store with a microwave. My last visit wasn't the best, though. The place had replaced the medium Polar Pop cups with large ones. I had a coupon for a free medium Polar Pop. Since there weren't any medium cups, I thought that grabbing a large one where it clearly said medium would be fine. Nope, this place did not honour my redeeming my medium drink with a large cup. It was ridiculous. If you can stock large cups in your medium cup dispensers, and you only have large cups, you should let customers go large. Provide good customer service and delight your customers. Instead, I took a sip of my cream soda in my large clear cup and gave it back to the man at the counter. I then left. I ended up redeeming this coupon when I got back home. Other than that nonsense, it is a great Circle K to visit. (273)

I had a candy cane hot chocolate there (in August, lol) and it was good. Very minty and didn't just taste like hot water, like the hot chocolate does at some locations. The Polar Pops there though are a little flatter than at other locations. I like my pop super carbonated so was a bit disappointed. It has some hot food as well, including prepackaged hamburgers. I didn't see any pizza though. They have lots of canned drinks, but are often out of Arizona iced tea. They do have a good selection of snacks like chips and candies. This Circle K is a block away from another Circle K on Laurier Ave. I'm a bit surprised that there are 2 in close proximity, but they are both located near the University of Ottawa campus, so I guess there's plenty of customers for both stores. Service is quick and efficient. There's a parking lot next to the store, but the available spots had signage indicating it belonged to a certain business (not Circle K). I parked on the street.

I discovered Middle Eastern meat pies when I first moved to Ottawa and have been hooked ever since. So I'm always up for checking out new places. I learned that SM Market, a convenience store in the Alta Vista Shopping Centre (it's really more of a plaza), had meat pies, so when I was in the area, I dropped by. The store itself had a lot of things that appealed to me. They have Mini Melts, which are little dots of freeze-dried ice cream. They are similar to Dippin Dots. I love this frozen treat! They also have a wall of unusual soda flavours. And they have a slushie machine. It's Slush Puppie though, my least favourite slushie brand, but still, in a pinch, I'd drink Slush Puppie, lol. Their meat pie counter is at the back of the store. They have meat pies, cheese pies, and zataar pies. They also have pizza by the slice, or you can order an entire pizza. I got a cheese pie ($3.99), beef and cheese pie ($4.99) and chicken and cheese pie ($7.99). They were all delicious. They are generous with the cheese, as a result, the pies are a bit greasy from all the fat in the cheese, lol. Staff were courteous. I had a coupon for a free can of any Arizona drink and I've been searching for the watermelon one like forever, lol. I decided to try my luck to see if they had it and lo and behold they did! Hurrah! This location is a free-standing standalone store. Not connected to a gas station. It's in Sandy Hill, near the University of Ottawa student residences, so I'm sure it does well. It has a large selection of Froster flavours, as well as Polar Pops (they had Green Apple Crush!) and flavoured coffees (they had Mint Oreo, and S'mores!!). They have lots of canned and bottled drinks and packaged snacks as well. Service was very friendly and efficient. The lady working there was the friendliest staff at any Circle K I've ever encountered. This location is more for the people who live nearby because parking is street parking only and difficult to find. I actually parked several blocks away.
