I have been going to the Circle K on Elgin Street for 7 years. Ever since it's been turned over to New Management the store has gone to crap . Especially the young guy who works in the morning sometimes at night is rude disrespectful has a poor attitude threatens to call the police anytime he doesn't like what you have to say and he's extremely homophobic when it comes to the trans community I've watched him laugh and mock trans people in the store . It has been addressed to the new owner several times but to be quite honest with you it seems like he doesn't even understand what you're saying to him because he will just laugh and say okay okay and walk away the individual seems to still be working there after several complaints against him about being homophobic and disrespectful to the trans community. The health department needs to be called because the food is disgusting do not eat the hot dogs pastries or the muffins for 3 days there was hundreds of fruit flies crawling all over them and they were still selling them to the public instead of removing them and cleaning out the cabinet they allowed it to sit in there for three more days. Overall some of the staff and the management have a poor attitude and with all that time setting up the pastry section and the pizza section in the hot dog section there hasn't once been Pizza the hot dogs are disgusting and the pastries have fruit flies crawling all over them what a waste of time and it's unfortunate that the old owner took such Pride in his customers and the store to be turned over to someone who could care less

I went to pick up my parcel, with the CP pickup ticket, and they couldn't find my parcel and told me to come back next day, I went back 2 days later and the clerk refused to help saying CP is closed... im like what the hell, I went back the day after and was told my parcel was sent back because I didn't pick it up in time... this is the most ridiculous service I've ever seen... the gave the same hard time to my wife when she tried to pick up a parcel, and again I have to pick up another parcel and I'm dreading going there... It's open 24/7 and is really convenient if you live nearby (which I kind of did when I technically had my own place elsewhere, but was staying with my boyfriend in Centretown all the time, lol. Don't worry, it's not scandalous, because I ended up marrying him, haha). Slater Street Market is on the ground floor of the Minto building and most major city bus routes going downtown stop right in front of it, so it is really convenient. Of course you pay for convenience, because the prices are astronomical for grocery items (compared to big box stores, grocery stores or pharmacies). However, if you're just grabbing some snacks, like a samosa, or a sandwich, it's not much more expensive than at other places. The place is clean, brightly lit and fairly large for a convenience store. Service is courteous. There's a Bitcoin ATM inside the Slater Street Market. Of no interest to me, but may be for some.

My experiences are always pleasant and the staff are great. The produce there, is mostly more fresh than some Big Grocery Stores. I buy all my groceries there for years now. They always have lots of stock and carry absolutely everything one needs on a daily basis. I will always go there and will continue to.

Most people have purchased at least an item or two here, maybe without even realizing it. It's a small convenience store on the third floor of the mall, right across from the OC Transpo sales and information centre. Because this centre is here, Gateway doesn't sell bus tickets, like most people think. They do, however, sell a whole bunch of things you need on the go, and for inexpensive prices, including gum, snacks, cold drinks, newspapers, smokes, lottery tickets, and even phone cards. It's more than conveniently located because it's right in front of the bus station, and it's also open later than mall hours. Be warned though - once the busy hours are over, the attendants like to blast techno music that can sometimes be heard all the way down to the elevators.
