I informed him $10 would give me something, idiot told me no and that I pumped the gas, asked to call to owner, phone busy then repeats his statements as before. Informed I would contact the police he said go ahead and then the owner called back, man put him on speaker and both started yelling at me and calling me a liar. Again started calling auburn police dept so owner says go look at the car, man sees 8 miles still calls me a liar speaks to owner so I cant understand and the owner still tries to say no them tells me I can have $10 in gas even though I am a liar and ripping him off and to pump my gas and never come here again! Ask to pump from a different pump guy yells go ahead and never come back! Yeah not a problem dude, wasn't even considering that!! Wth is wrong with people!!!!!!!!! It's not often that I walk into a gas station and expect to have a very clean restroom and this by far was one of those locations that over, exceeded my expectations around cleanliness in the restroom overall But also the Store location as well. We stopped here as a unexpected quick top off of gas on our way into Reno. A little pricey on the per gallon, but again being in California that's expected as well. But I insure to make sure to let my opinion be heard on the cleanliness of the restroom.

This review is to distinguish 2 employees that work at this Shell station. The gal that worked outside cleaning up last night (Xmas eve eve) & the guy with the full beard at the register. She felt really bad for me & said don't worry, I got you. I'm not gonna let you run out of gas to get home. I guess she would have given me her own cash !! So I called my daughter & she helped me set up Apple Cash on my phone & sent me some money. It took me a minute lol but I eventually figured it out & went in again to use tap to pay. At that time the bearded guy says oh if I knew you didn't know how to use it and you had come in I would have helped you set it up & showed you have to use it. I got to admit I love how wide the gas station lanes are outside-this is the kind of gas station I want to frequent always. Walking inside I was really taken aback by the sheer size of the place..I guess I should've figured it out by just looking at the size of the building but yeah I was still surprised. Inside they have so much ready-to-eat food available-so much grab-and-go options but the thing that looked the most intriguing was the brisket wraps-next time I'm there,I will for sure be trying those brisket wraps. They have a pretty killer beer selection as well located in their stand-alone beer locker that keeps the beer ice cold. I can't quite put my finger on it but I just really liked the vibe in that gas station-the employees seemed happy and friendly and everything was super organized and clean. It's one of those rare gas stations where you don't feel like you're just stopping for gas--you actually want to go inside and look around. I can say with some certainty that this is my gas station of choice in the Rocklin area. It's a good one......Now to check out Buc-ee's.

The store is always clean, and somehow the bathrooms are too--which honestly feels like finding a unicorn at a gas station. They've got a ton of snacks, drinks, and grab-and-go food, so whether I need caffeine, a road trip snack, or an "I forgot to eat today" meal, they've got me covered. And I'll admit it... the burritos are actually pretty good. Way better than my expectations for gas station food. The rewards app is another reason I keep coming back. They always seem to have coupons, discounts, and Freebie Fridays are a nice little bonus. Who doesn't like free snacks? Overall, Maverik makes spending too much money on energy drinks and road trip snacks feel a little more justified. Clean store, good food, great rewards--hard to ask for much more from a gas station.
