She stated that they weren't busy just yet as no one really knew they were there, so if you're in High Point and you're craving something for your home bar, stop on by. I'll be using this location only in the future. Covid related: Masks enforced, social distancing encouraged according to their sign and they have plexiglass up between the registers and the customers.

For those who live outside of NC and follow my reviews, in NC you have to buy your hard alcohol from a store controlled by the state. You cannot buy things like bourbon or vodka from a grocery store. The pricing is more controlled, but you are at the mercy of the distribution among the ABC stores by the local county distribution centers it seems. Overall it was good, but not great. I will continue my search for a better store.

Hearing that it was a newer store with a nice selection of items, it held true. This ABC Store has a vast selection, and they did have nice premium bourbons, whiskeys, etc. Although they did not have one of the premiums we were hoping to find, the staff had excellent alternatives offered in addition to another one we were looking for and found. This store is easy to get to and also with using the service drive linking it to the nearby gas/convenience store, an easy way to get to the traffic light for accessing Hwy 64 again. In all, a good visit to this Chatham County ABC Store and worth the bit of a drive outside Apex to get to it.

When asked if we could exchange for a different brand, at the same non-sale price as what we purchased, they pointed to a sign by the register, "All sales final". The staff could care less about the customer and actually said go to another ABC store when I called them out. If the store wasn't well organized and clean they would have got 1 star. The group that I travel with is about 25 people total. Last week my friend and I went to buy a few things and the employee was very pushy for us to buy drink mixers, which we absolutely hate. We politely declined to buy them, paid for our stuff and left. Tonight we go again and he AGAIN tried to push us to buy nasty drink mixers, we politely declined AGAIN (same guy) and when it was time to pay for our 4 bottles of different liquors (don't judge) he said he couldn't sell to us because we had a TEXAS ID....REALLY?? REALLY??? WTF is that about? So if our ID is issued in Texas, somehow we can't buy liquor? That's weird, because he did last week, and every bar in town has had no problem with our Texas IDs. Funny rule for a liquor store in a town where 35,000 [eople come from all over the world for the furniture market. Also, my biggest problem was the mean and almost insulting way he said it. He was just a huge jerk. I would understand if that actually was the law and he explained it nicely, but it's like he got satisfaction telling us no. I seriously don't know what his problem is, but we are both pretty angry and we will just drive a few extra miles to avoid that total douche bag.
