Here in the Gulf Coast, it's "NOW IMPERATIVE" that you plant ONLY IN THE FALL [OCT is ideal], and NOT IN THE SPRING. Reason is, that the past few years have had [and MAY continue to have] BRUTAL SPRINGS [meaning... July/August HEAT in April/May]. A tree planted in the Spring has absolutely no chance to develop a new root system capable to supporting that tree for the rest of a [potential] very HOT year. A tree planted in the FALL will have upwards to 5-6 months of cooler/cold weather to grow a root system. Yes!! Trees continue to grow their roots even if they've dropped all their leaves. Notice that that 1 star review was made in May of '22; that was not the fault of BVTree Farm. That was the 1st year of high heat in Spring. Who Knew!! Times [weather] have changed, and we need to change as well. By the way, this is just my opinion, and I do not represent, and/or am I compensated by BVTree farm. I'm 83 yrs old, and I try not to make the same "mistake" twice; I purchased an [on-line/delivered from out of state] tree in Spring of '21, and it failed due to the NEW heat issue. The arrangement was delivered at 1, and I found them at 3:30, which prompted me to call Nita's when I found them sitting on my porch and called to express my unhappiness. Zara, the manager promptly pointed out that what I had shared with Alisia was moot as I had not made those concerns as I placed my online order, in writing prior to knowing that any requests I made was worthless. Furthermore, Zara further inferred it was my fault as they have third party delivery drivers at times but I do not know IF that was the case today, but I digress. Zara further declared that I was delivered "an exceptional arrangement" so my complaint was useless to her but it wasn't to me as Zara did not care in the slightest as she was condescending and rude!! Had she not SEEN what they deliver to their customers as a manager! I paid $149.00 for this arrangement, with a tip for the designer and delivery driver as well. And when I called Zara back to let her know that I would no longer be using Nita's as this was the second mistake they made, the first was an order that they CANCELED without any notice to me for over 24 hrs. It's unacceptable. But you can choose for yourself. Would this arrangement be acceptable to you??

And the last order ( the most important one) did not show up at all. Their customer service ? Trash. At 7:15 pm they said they were going to deliver the last two remaining orders and only managed to deliver the one at 11:23pm . Keep in mind all three orders are less than 10 min apart distance from each other. Never again will I call them for any service. I will be asking for my refund on the last order tomorrow morning.

The value at Ollie's is great. We didn't have a ton of time to shop but we nabbed an A&M garden flag for $6.99 and a big bag of Brownie Brittle for $5.99. (Now I will note that we have been "burned" by food at Ollie's in the past -not this particular location- when we bought some mint patties which were infested with bugs. So yes we are "nervous" buying food here but I think that if they are well packaged, that shouldn't normally be a problem.) Now for the service. Wow. Aimee was our cashier and was FABULOUS. She was so friendly and helpful. She got us signed up for Ollie's rewards and explained everything so thoroughly. I honestly don't know why we didn't sign up before. It's not like we shop here much but the points don't expire so we should have done it sooner. Thankfully this wonderful employee was able to get us signed up.
