I attended a wedding/wedding reception at Cipriani Broadway and was blown away at the beauty of this place. It is located off Broadway in Lower Manhattan. Right across the street is one of NYC's iconic tourist stops, the famous Charging Bull. Keep in mind that you are in Manhattan and that you gotta have a game plan if you're parking anywhere in the city. We had instructions to park at a nearby parking garage which was an easy walk over to the venue. Even without the famous landmark outside, the building is pretty easy to find with the address clearly marked. You also can't miss the red carpet, the golden entrance and the doorman. When you walk in, you enter into a pretty lobby and the space was utilized for the cocktail service. Now the main attraction is the reception hall. OMG, this was one of the most beautiful halls I have ever been in for a wedding. The beautiful high ceilings, arches, flooring and 360 degree projection mapping made it absolutely stunning. The staff here do an amazing job for the whole process. They let us in on time and the wedding was set up in the middle. After the wedding they lead everyone out for cocktail hour. Then they transformed the same area in the hall into a massive party with seating all around, DJ setup, and this huge bar inside for all your cocktail needs. I don't know if they cater in house, but the food was excellent as well. They also have other rooms for smaller events as well. I don't even want to know what my fam spent on this wedding. If i was ever to get married in NYC, I would keep this on a short list for my event. read more

Was here for a Haskin's dinner w/ NYU - Beautiful, largest of the Cipriani's in the city, I believe, and they had a fun light system that could do video, follow arches, and really highlight the architecture of the space nicely. Good event space for large groups, right beside the Wall Street bull statue across the street. Overall beautiful venue, a bit of line with bathrooms, great sound/audio system setup. You can do a lot in here, so I think a lot of dinners, weddings, and more happen here as you have areas that both can be very open with the very high ceilings, 3-d visual effects and great feel, or you can partition areas off with ropes or curtains. Front had the check-in and coat-check, middle area roped off for drinks/passed apps, and back area all tables. Once it was busy, it was harder to move around, but that's just due to number of people, I think. We had over 500 people attend. Seating at tables was a little harder to count- some tables were 10ppl, others 11ppl... very strange for counting purposes. They did also add an extra table when they saw a count was off. Small room to the side was helpful for setup and a pre-meeting (so probably good for a prep room for bride/groom/etc. at a wedding). Food - not sure if this was the venue or not, but I will write that down since it may have been associated. Staffers were busy and all over with the different hand-passed appetizers like tuna tartare, prosciutto on a breadstick, scallops, fried octopus, and lamb chops, as well as busy at the bars. Later covering the table with drinks, wine and more. One guy working the tech had some pretty fun glow-in-the-dark Nikes. No iced tea surprisingly, but a reasonable selection from the caterers on other items. Starter was Cipriani mozzarella with heirloom tomatoes - could have been better with a little more vinegar as the mozzarella was very salty (maybe a Buffalo mozzarella would've been more appropriate and easier to cut/less salty). A delicious, soft croissant to the side, little roll. The main where you had either prime roast filet of beef or the sea bass dish was well-cooked and plenty of flavor, veggies were ok and potato was so-so, a little dry for me. Dessert was a Cipriani vanilla creme meringue cake which was delicious, not too tart, and a single plate of chocolate desserts that didn't make its way around the table... they should've brought more than one of those for our table but somehow that was missed, perhaps. I've attended events here for the last couple of years. The event has been held in different places in the past but Cipriani is by far the nicest and has done the best job! I came here for a work event. The venue is beautiful! High ceilings, perfect lighting, stunning architecture. In terms of the food, I enjoyed the steak, quinoa, eggplant, and grilled veggies. The non meat items were clearly labeled with allergens which I appreciated. The steak was sliced at a station by a restaurant employee and placed onto our plates. He seemed annoyed that I asked if the steak was gluten and dairy free but answered yes that it was. Overall the food was very good, just not quite the same level as meals I've had at other Cipriani locations. But still very good. Towards the end of the night things got a bit chaotic with lines of people trying to get their coats from the coat check. They had all their employees working trying to get us our coats quickly which was effective. However this allowed some random people to walk in at the end of the night who were not part of the company. I realized after talking to a few that they had snuck in because they were pretending to be the videographers but I knew the actual videographer. It was totally fine but I do wish there had been the same level of security at the end of the night as they did when we got there. Overall had a wonderful event here and would definitely want my company to use this space again. read more

I was invited here for a business dinner. I enjoyed the baked branzino with organic carrots and potatoes. The starter salad and appetizers were also tasty and made with fresh ingredients. At the end, I really enjoyed the chocolate dipped strawberries. Service was well trained and the venue is gorgeous. Look at those ceilings! I found myself at Cipriani the other night to attend a work function. It's been so long since I attended a formal event, I almost forgot how nice it was to play dress up every once in a while. Reviewing event spaces can be tricky since I need to consciously separate the space and amenities from the actual event, so I will do my best to give my experience of Cipriani as a venue, separate from the organization they were hosting. I had heard the name Cipriani float around for a long time, but I never knew what they actually were. I quickly learned they were originally a restaurant, but have since expanded to put their name on a number of other restaurants, event spaces, and hotels. This specific venue is formally called Cipriani 25 Broadway, and is essentially a converted NYC landmark building that now acts as a space to host events. The interior is beautiful - super high ceilings with exquisite patterns and intricate architecture that combines the old with the new. The open layout makes it a versatile space; for the event I attended, they initially closed off the main space and kept us in the front area for the cocktail hour. For dinner they had tables throughout the space with a stage that provided a nice focal point. I can definitely see the space adapt to whatever event you're hosting, however - dance floor, open bar space, etc. Onto the food; cocktail hour bites were pretty standard - bruschetta, Caesar salad on a stick, fig and cheese - they were all tasty. Once we sat down we started with a salad and then moved onto filet mignon with broccolini and roasted potatoes. For dessert they served a chocolate mousse cake and a few small pastry bites and cookies for the table to share. I didn't find any of the food particularly amazing - I've definitely had worse catering hall food but it also wasn't a standout. Service was also a little spotty. A few of us had gotten up to take some pictures and while we were away from the table dessert had been served; none of the staff came back to the table, so half of us were not served cake or coffee. The pastries and cookies were't bad. Overall, Cipriani is a beautiful venue, and I'm sure any event hosted there will be memorable for the aesthetics alone. Food was on par with other catering halls I've been to, though I'm curious how their other fare is. I'm not sure the next time I will be at another Cipriani event, but I definitely wouldn't pass it up. read more

I am here at a wedding and I am compelled to write this review.... This bride and groom spared no expense for this wedding, it was above and beyond, the utmost class, Crystal centerpieces, huge planters, amazing band, the works. The place is gorgeous as well, but aside from the fact that I got yelled at while ordering a drink at the bar, I was told by a woman who works there with big black glasses that they would be announcing the family and everyone must go sit at their table. So the bartender was making my drink, and as she was handling it to me, the woman yells to me "I'm not going to say it again" so I said, "the bartender is handing me my drink"...She said "I'll bring you the drink!!" I said no thanks, got my drink and went back to the table. I didn't say anything to her bc I wanted to spare the bride and groom as well as their parents, but I don't need anyone speaking to me that way as a wedding guest. And the servers pushed and banged into my chair the entire night, at one point I pushed my chair out further so they would go a different way, but that just turned into them pushing me more. Everything else wedding wise was perfect, but the service and attitudes of the people that work there was horrible. read more

I met this young man named Gerald and I told him I wanted to pay him for him to watch my scooter I was gonna tie my scooter up outside the building and he took it upon his self to take my scooter inside his building and he would not let me tip him or anything even though I begged him so I just wanted to take the time out to give him a yelp because you don't have to many people in the world today that go above and beyond! this young man was very generous he took the time to take the time and I really really appreciate it' A friend of mine just got her motor scooter stolen a few days before and I found out that people ride around with lock cutters and take people bikes! I just wanna say that Caprini did a very great job and having Gerald.... 1:46. I use my electric bike to get back in dirty to work! read more

Honestly, I'm not sure I can truly judge this space completely objectively having only been to its latest incarnation for the SuperReal show, which was the most irritating, pointless waste of money I've been too. In 1987, it definitely would have been cutting edge. In 2019/2020, it was basically an overpriced exhibit that was needed about 10 minutes to see, enjoy and be done with had it been free. And I love avant-garde illuminations and displays. But this was a waste of space and clearly aimed at the bridge and tunnel crowd or people who grew up going to Spencer's stores in the 1970s and 1980s ... and people who are less cultured and think it's high art. I've always loved the Cipriani space. It's historic. It's part of New York. It's a shame this is what it's come done to ... But I can see why people from New Jersey might want to have a wedding here. read more

Reserved the table 3 weeks ahead but when we artived they tried to give us a table right next to the door.The table is mini coctail table, impossible for 3 people to eat.Ordered veal , ıy is worse then a street food vendor could cook. Appetizer and side dishes very ordinary. Waiters nice. Price does not match the low quality of the food and service overall.I don't recommend .Surprising to see a lot of old rich couples at the restaurant.Sorry I don't have that much money to waste.We were there to celebrate an occasıon. Such a beautiful venue. Was here for an event in January and the light, service, and food were great. The spinach ravioli I could not get enough of, along with the crab cake appetizers with a honey mustard dip. Would not have thought to pair the two together. Although I was here for an event, seeing it in this setting made me see why so many choose this as a wedding venue. read more

The food here is amazing. The service is terrible I had 5 people at my table paid almost 200 dollar just in tip which I shouldn't have... I had to ask the waiters about 10 times until the bread was on my table, then it took another 30 min to get the better. We live in Boston area and visit NYC twice a year as we own timeshare property in the city. Cirpiani Downtown has been one of our favorite spots for quite some time. However, I am posting a bad revue and would love management to see it. They charged my husband $29.00 per cocktail for a shot of Jack Daniels...I was appauled by this charge and mentioned it to one of our servers who was rude, smiled and walked away, saying we charge $75 for a shot of tequila. I was totally disappointed by this charge...how can you rip off your customers like this??? Also, they served us our meal and not one person came over to ask us how the food was...my scallops were soo salty couldn't eat them. Our last visit to this restaurant was made in May of 2018!!! this locations is pretty stellar. It used to be a post office apparently the ceiling art is amazing. I was at a function when I went the food was good. Nothing to write home about. The service was excellent from the catering staff, coat check people and the bathroom attendants. The liquor was a good selection. Some top shelf stuff. Went there for a family dinner on 12/6/14. Both the food and the service was absolutely horrible. The fish had absolutely no taste. Risotto tasted something you buy from a grocery store and add hot water to. The pasta was over cooked and drenched in olive oil. The meat temperatures were off and in general everything tasted disgusting. Don't even get me started on the services (or lack thereof). I guess the server could see the disappointment in our party that she didn't even bother to ask us about desert. read more

We attended a black tie wedding and I am so sorry to say it was the worst wedding we have ever attended. Yes the building itself is beautiful. And that's were it ends. Both the food and the service was absolutely horrible. The cocktail hour was so disappointing. I actually quietly and discreetly had to spit out one of the passed appetizers, it was that bad! The only highlight was the jumbo shrimp cocktail. But be prepared to have your cocktail sauce dumped on the tail end of your shrimp. The space is so large that it's cold and sound echoes off the walls making a strange banging sound on the wall opposite the band. I can't even describe how bad the service was. One example is the fish that was dropped in the lap of a beautifully dressed woman seated across from me. My potato was dropped on the table, picked up and placed on my plate. The food was cold, under or over cooked and absolutely tasteless. Let's not even get into how bad the desert service was. I can only imagine how much they must charge to cater a wedding there. I have had both a better meal and outstanding service at our local diner. read more
