The mini Victoria sponge cake was scrumptious

Cinnamon Cafe is a nice, family-run cafe in the Windsor train station. It's nothing fancy, but stop by for casual treats, like my mini Victoria sponge cake. Worth a visit it you're hungry.

Typical English lunch - Jacket potato with salad garnish. Bacon sandwich for him. Teddy is enjoying a mocha.

Really loved this little cafe in Windsor. There's some outdoor and indoor seating. I recommend eating indoors if you can snag a table. It's cold outside! They have a nice selection of treats and eats. I had a jacket potato with lettuces on the side. They have so many different drinks. The baristas and servers are friendly and patient. Free wifi is awesome as always. After a hot tea and a sandwich, you can go shopping or explore the cute downtown area of Windsor! I so want to come back!

Really enjoyed an afternoon stop at this little cafe. It is located in a very busy spot but they have done what they could to make it comfortable with great couches comfortable chairs and large cocktail tables. There is also an outdoor area with chairs and bistro tables. With everyone under the sad impression they can make a coffee drink Cinnamon Cafe is far better than all the Starbuck wannabe's. The flat white I had was creamy and truly delicious. And then there is the cinnamon roll. It is phenomenal! The icing melts beautifully if you take them up on their offer to serve it warm. Personal advise though, don't lick the plate the other patrons will judge you (but it's worth it!)

The sign of a GOOD local coffee shop - Lycra-clad cyclists! And yep, this place ticks the boxes! Amazing coffee (although a large is HUGE!) and pastries to die for (get them heated a bit)... plus a steady stream of weekend warrior athletes, enough to make me feel guilty about my brunch purchases. But heck, I'm here as a Heathrow layover escapee so check this place out if you need your travel caffeine fix

Windsors answer to Central Perk. A great and regular meeting place for Friends and the best cafe in Windsor by far... Dog friendly, full of character and a bunch of the loveliest young people serving great food and fantastic coffee in an historic colourful and interesting setting. Sorry if I sound like a family member but I am not, I just love this place.... Thanks for the service and for looking after us so well. Davo.

Excellent service on a hot and busy day. Had a cinnamon bun with a banana smoothie and people watched in the outside area.

Upon entry into Creams Café, I was instantly struck by the nostalgic diner decor- customised black and purple leather booths, and neon lights built into the ceiling: a real peer back through the early American 50s era. Sitting down in the light and comfortable leather booths, the menu offered a large variety of waffle, crepe, gelato and cheesecake flavours to name a few- the list continued on with endless delights. The food quality (plating presentation and taste) was upmost surprising- with the large variety of options on the menu creating the phrase 'jack of all trades, master of none' feel a possibility. However, it completely surpassed our expectations! The cheesecake authenticity was reinforced by its' rich sweet vanilla flavour paired with the soft crust biscuit base: creating an ensemble of colours, textured and flavours on the dish. The soft, cloud- like waffle base was saturated with a caramel lava pyroclastic flow; boulders of warm fudge bites surfacing on the viscous sugary goo. Running down your throat, it felt nauseous even peering at the monstrosity of a delight- though.. what do you expect for such delicately crafted dessert making? Every bite and taste was of course, top-notch delicious. The staff greeted newcomers at the entrance with, somewhat open arms- which felt almost forced and the opposite of natural my opinion? But to support the positives, the sight of the store in itself shifted the focus from the main servers' service: but enhancing the enthusiasm from 'all' staff would really spread the icing on the cake for this overall dessert haven experience. Nevertheless, they were good in their customer handling. And to note, the mainstream Café's ambient soundscape would benefit from more relevant music (with not only it representing a classic nostalgic, and retro piece of history- but also at the heart of Britain's historic culture, neighbouring the monarchs residence). Though, rewinding to the initial entry into the crazed 'Creams Café', the glaring lights beamed onto us customers- connoting a sense of interrogation- instead of the calm and vibrant atmosphere I believe they wanted to achieve. It almost created a feeling of coldness and ill, (ironic due to the ongoing Covid pandemic, as if we were embarking on a journey into a PCR testing site). However, this Café definitely tested 'positive' in my opinion. And I highly recommend this experience for any travel-goer and any downtown city bustle seeker.

Service: You seat yourself, staff will come by to give you a menu and you go to the counter to order. Otherwise, there is no service. We ordered the Rocher Sundae, chocolate cake, apple pie/ice cream and a chocolate (oreo?) waffle. Between these, the waffle was the winner. The apple pie was ok, the chocolate cake was worth ordering, the rocher ice cream looks awesome but it's really just ice cream so not that big a deal. The waffle itself was excellent and having the squares filled with chocolate was the bonus. Try it out if you are around, but no rush to come here

A wide selection of items were available, including pretzels, sweets, breads and cheeses. I purchased a few items and all tasted as delicious as they looked. The three merchants were all german natives and you could tell the love and care they put into the shop. A truly welcomed find in England.

Sad to say our experience with the German Bakery was anything but pleasant…read more As I'm German, my wife very thoughtfully wanted to order some German food for Christmas. Little did she know that this almost led to us eating perished food from the German Bakery, being shouted at aggressively and hung up at when we raised this. To give a bit of background, we ordered fresh sausages and ham for online delivery, assuming of course that the food would be delivered in a safe and sanitary, i.e. refrigereated manner. Rather than in a refrigerated state, the meat arrived in a usual parcel with UK Mail. We later tracked the order, and noticed that it had been in transit for more than 24 hours. Rather than delivering the fresh meat in a refrigerated condition, it was simply wrapped in a plastic bag, together with a small cooling gel pack. Given that it had been in transit for more than 24 hours without refrigeration, it had naturally warmed, rendering the meat unsafe to eat. This is aggravated by the fact that the meat was not delivered directly to us, but actually dumped in the neighbour's garden (without having it signed for by the neighbour). Before we discovered the parcel by chance, it had been laying in the garden (un-refrigerated, naturally) for another four hours. When we raised a complaint with the German Bakery, we were right away told that this was usual practice, and that the temperature was maintained through the cooling pack (which of course was warm by the time it arrived), and that the temperature of the mean was always lower than 12 to 14 degrees Celsius (?). To our question how they could possibly claim that it was at a certain temperature (given that it was shipped from depots, delivery vans, our neighbours garden etc.), we were first told this was usual practice "and nobody ever complained". When we told them that according to the Foods Standards Authority, perishable food like fresh meat has to be refrigerated continuously below 8 degrees, the lady we spoke to got angry. She clearly experienced that before, as she quickly employed a tactic that I (sadly) have experienced in Germany before. She just yelled at me so loud I had to take the phone away from my ears, and would not stop. After I had asked her about ten times politely to let me finish my sentence, she just hung up on me. The last thing I remember was she yelled at me that they were not responsible for their delivery, as they subcontract the delivery. A firm claiming they are not responsible because they are subcontracting is legally wrong, and morally ludicrous. That of course tells you everything you need to know about their lack of professionalism. Surely, even if we and the Food Standards Authority had been wrong about our concerns, surely nobody deserves to be treated like this. So a fair warning to other potential customer: In this business it is clearly usual practice to deliver fresh meat in an un-refrigerated, unsafe and unsanitary condition. On top of that, raising a concern gets you dismissed, aggressively yelled at, and hung up. Sad to see this - a good German food business would certainly be great thing. Not the German Bakery though.
