Service is fast and there are 3 flavors to choose from with multiple version (plain, honey butter, etc.) 5/5 - Cookies and Cream - Definitely try the honey butter cream puff! It was crunchy on the outside and complemented well with the cookies and cream filling on the inside. Quite sweet so you may not want to eat two of them right away (unless you have a sweet tooth!)

It's…read morealso hard to ignore the signs proclaiming their cupcakes, cookies, brookies, brownies, revel bars, and many other creations. And I didn't. For me, the proof of a good bakery is in their butterscotch bars and lemon bars so I ordered these. Their Butterscotch Blondie has the right flavor but, for me, leaves something to be desired texture-wise. Their Lemon Bar, though, was right up my alley with its moist texture, slightly flaky top, and chewy base. I had to fight my mom for it. Right price, big size - The Flour Girl is worth a second taste test, and third, and so on.
I am utterly in love with Purple Oven. No, seriously! They're my favorite bakery as of the moment,…read moreand for good reason! I don't really like sweet stuff, honestly. But Purple Oven's decadent revel bars changed that opinion pretty quickly! When I moved to the area, I was happy to find out that it's just one tricycle ride away from my condo (and I've abused that ever since). It's always been my go-to bakery for special occasions. Of course, the revel bars are always a party hit, as well as their cakes. But I think their cookies are one of the best I've tasted! (And i've tried alot, mind you.) The chocolate macademia cookies don't scrimp on either, and is absolutely mouthwatering, especially when they're just fresh out of the oven! (You can cheat this by putting it in the oven really quickly, at the lowest setting so you won't burn anything.) Purple Oven doesn't just do desserts either! They've got a pretty good selection of bread and quiches! Perfect for a lazy brunch at home. Just pop em in the oven the next day, and they go so perfectly with some coffee or tea.

I love everything about that place, I could really spend hours just smelling their food and staring at their desserts. And it doesn't help that they actual load a new batch of goodies in the oven every hour (with a schedule posted on the chalkboard of what's cooking by what time), I think I sat there for half a day and didn't even notice I've been there that long. Whether you're in for a savory treat or a sweet-tooth satisfier, they have so much to choose from. My top picks are still Grandma's Chocolate Cake which has layers of caramel between moist, rich chocolate cake topped with chocolate ribbons and the Banoffee Pie which has a pie crust filled with banana, cream and butterscotch. If you want just a quick bite, then try their cookie selection. I love the chocolate macadamia, very chocolatey and chunky and not too sweet.

Being sugar-hooked family, we are always on the look-out for good places to have dessert. This is…read morehow we stumbled upon Chocolat. Being one of the first few establishments in Mall of Asia serving mainly dessert, it quickly became a favorite, to the point that there was one Christmas we gave away loaves of their cake to family and friends. Our favorites would be their tablea cheesecake and their Death by Tablea. The table cheesecake is a twist on the cheesecake, using the same tablea they use for their prime bestseller - the Death by Tablea. It's an incredibly moist and fluffy cake, with chocolate frosting of tablea, and shavings of the tablea tablets making it an overload of tablea. It's full of the chocolatey taste that is distinct to using real tablea - not too sweet, but oh-so-lip-smackily good, it'll leave you wanting to buy a whole cake after having a slice! They are now available all over Metro Manila, with branches in San Juan, Loyola, Addition Hills and a few more.

Anyway, Conti's is a restaurant but is mainly famous for their baked goodies and cakes. Their brownies are an ever present sight. In fact, there was a time that I couldn't go to a Christmas party, funeral, or whatever without seeing someone eating something from Conti's. Usually it would be a box of brownies that people were passing around. In terms of cake, I would strongly recommend the Mango Bravo, surprised it's not cheesecake? It's huge and very sweet and one of the few cakes that I love that doesn't have cheese on it. Usually my sisters share the slice because of its mammoth size, but I for one prefer to go solo on it.

For those of you who haven't tried this yet, you are missing so much! The packaging is very simple - it's just wrapped in paper. But don't get deceived by this simple wrapper. The paper contains the most precious hopia ever! You bite into it and you get really this moist filling of mongo - sooooo good! Okay, so aside from Hopia I also get other snacks there like Shingaling, chips, ampao and candy. It feels like a grocery because you can get a lot of snacks there! Oh please note that since the hopia is made fresh (and I don't think there are preservatives) it is to be consumed immediately. Do not wait for when you see mold - better yet put it in the fridge if you can't eat it immediately. I'm such a happy kid whenever I go to this store! I'm glad that they have branched out with kiosks around Manila!
