Enfield is atypical of the new age multiplexes, i.e. a cinema awkwardly placed next to a main road, with adjoining restaurants and things. It's like-able though. Their selection of films tends to be pretty good, and is far better than Ilford's. Therefore usually you can find something to watch on a Saturday night. One time, I saw they had this preacher dude performing there on a Sunday. Exciting visions of someone shouting 'Praise the Lord' as a disabled person lifted their wheelchair in the air flowed through my mind, but I didn't go to see it. The screens are clean and nice; except for one particular screen which was once a VIP screen or something but is now cold and aged and grimy. Whilst generally I do like this cinema, I have had a few bad experiences here. The main one being that one night their heating had broken, which was annoying as it was a cold night. Fair enough, I figured, heating does occasionally break. It was bad enough that I was being made to watch Sweeney Todd but I would've thought twice if I knew I'd be doing it in arctic conditions. My thinking was that I would get over the big freeze with a nice cup of tea. Or should I say 'a cup of tea'; Cineworld Tea is not known for being great. But it's warm and brown; which is what was needed. Get this; they won't make me tea. The dude on the counter said "sorry, I can't make you tea". I asked why not; and then I got the most baffling response of all time. "I'm not trained". "You're not trained!?!?! What about that guy?" I asked. "It's our first day, we're not trained". "you're not trained on making tea? I'm trained on making tea, can I press the water button?" "no." "This is ridiculous". "I know, it's silly. But we're not allowed". This genuinely happened, I was denied tea due to the staff not being trained in tea making. This is like a grape-picker not pulling no fruit because he hasn't been trained on dismantling the fruit. Ridiculous. So yeah, a definite mark against Cineworld Enfield, I guess it's health & safety gone mad. read more

3-3.5 stars. This theater was about a 10 minute walk from where I lived for about 7 months. Needless to say I would come here a lot. The location is a bit of a drag in a large intersection that takes a while to cross the 9 various lanes. The theater is HUGE, with about 18 screens. One thing you have to get used to in England is that tickets for large movies that have just opened, actually have seat numbers. This was quite confusing when seeing Casino Royale, especially when you consider how dark the theaters are. The prices for food and concessions are the same as any theater, though when you consider the exchange rate, its a small fortune. They do have a by-the-kilogram candy area where you can stock up on candies you like. Overall the theater is efficient and reasonably priced, especially with a student discount. read more

Cineworld Enfield is situated in Southbury Leisure Centre on the busy Southbury Road. The nearest train station is Southbury overground which is about a 10 minute walk to the cinema. There is bus transport nearby but the easiest way to get there is via car as there is quite a big parking lot on site. It is a large cinema with 15 screens, they also have Imax there which is a plus. On the ground floor are several self service ticket machines as well as the main ticket desk which unfortunately is quite slow as there only tends to be one or two staff members at a time. Service here is a bit hit and miss. There was a problem with a voucher not going through when I went to purchase a ticket (originally issued by that branch) but instead of calling a manger over, this particular staff member wanted me to roam around looking for someone in a blue shirt who was supposed to be a manager. I asked him why he couldn't call him and he said he didn't have a walkie talkie. I don't understand why he couldn't get up and get him but because the film started soon I left my friend in the queue and tracked down security who called over the manager. Once there, the manager sorted everything out quickly so we were able to see the film on time. They have a large food counter and although I did not order there, I could see that people were being served quite quickly as there were very short queues. If you don't fancy that, you can go upstairs to the first floor where there's a Starbucks and lots of seating to chill out. This Starbucks doesn't seem to be part of the main chain because you can't use your Starbucks card here. Also the standard or service and cleanliness aren't very good . When my friend brought a cold drink and salad, the server for some reason threw her receipt in the bin. My friend asked her to print off another receipt but she didn't know how to do that and rummaged through the bin with her colleague, to retrieve a soggy stained piece of paper. Fair enough but she had just put my sandwich on to heat up and there was no sign of her washing her hands. I kindly asked her to wash her hands and got a disgruntled "yes sure", the other server didn't bother and looked disgusted that I'd asked her. Satisfied that a bunch of dustbin germs wasn't transferred to my sandwich I made a clean getaway, only to be confronted with really dirty sticky tables and chairs. It was like someone had a drink fight, none of the free tables and chairs where clean. I had to ask one of the 'disgruntled' to come over to clean the furniture so we could sit down. It was a tense moment while we stood there holding our drinks wondering how this would be handled by our reluctant staff member, but she ended up doing quite a decent job. We just had to collect serviettes to dry the seats afterwards. While we were there no-one cleaned any of the other tables. Back downstairs we walked through to the foyer and we noticed that the floor was absolutely covered in popcorn, everywhere which is a shame. Unfortunately inside the auditorium wasn't much better, it was also littered with popcorn and bits of other rubbish all over. The positives are that the screen was a decent size, the sound quality was very good and the seating (dirty but) comfortable. It's a shame that this cinema isn't better taken care of with more customer service training and attention to hygiene. read more

I have been coming here over 10 years (back when it was still the UGC!). With so many screens, you are always likely to catch every film on release, on generally good quality screens (really though, I've never been in a spotless, popcorn free screen!). The people working here can be a mix of indifferent and friendly, same as most places. I have so many fond memories here of spending an entire day watching movies, and relaxing. I remember queues out the door, the time the toilet floors were covered with cardboard (and soaked through!), the time someone went to the toilet during a movie... But don't let this put you off! It's so nice to have the choice of so many films, to know you will get to see every new film out. Make sure to sign up as a member, it's well worth it! read more

I had not been to Cineworld Enfield before and I certainly won't be going again. I booked a ticket online, jumped in the car for the 20 minute drive over there and spent over half an hour driving around the car park looking for a place to park until, realising I'd missed the start by then anyway, I gave up and drove home again. What a waste of time I will never get back and £12.50 I will never see again. Judging from the near-gridlock in the various car parks nearby there is nowhere near enough parking for the surrounding shops and restaurants let alone a big cinema so unless you can go during the week and/ or outside shopping hours I would avoid Cineworld Enfield completely. read more

Big out of town cinema complex. Doesn't really feel like you're in London anymore. The main problem is that the car park is often full and it's not very easy to drive around (or even to walk through as a pedestrian). Queues inside the cinema are normally pretty big so don't go too close to film start time as you'll have to wait a while. read more

This is a great cinema with plenty of screens and even an Imax screen. The sound quality is amazing and the seating is very comfortable. Staff often come across as a bit clueless and not very caring. There's plenty of parking. There's several hughstreet name restaurants in the car park. As with most cinemas, the price of popcorn, drinks etc. is pretty extortionate. read more

I've never been a massive fan of multiplex cinemas but seeing as this place is 5 minutes walk from where I live I go here every now and then. There are loads of screens (14 I think) but unfortunately they don't often show indie or foreign films even for a week. For your blockbuster films though, you can pretty much guarentee that they will show them for weeks on end. The seats are comfortable with plenty f legroom and there is a bar upstairs. However, the view from the bar is of the A10 - not very easy on the eye! Snacks and drink prices are extortionate and there is always someone on the door to check your bags to make sure you don't sneak anything in. There are often long queues to buy tickets, drinks and snacks so it's worth arriving early to make sure you don't miss any of the film. All in all, it's an OK cinema but nothing special. read more

This is an expensive cinema in my opinion! Adult after 5pm during the week or at the weekend is £7.60! There is also an added £2.20 charge for 3D films. However, they do student tickets (£5.70), which isn't bad and they do cheaper tickets if you see a film before 12pm (£5.20). There aren't many films showing at this time though! The seats are very comfortable though and there is a pretty good view of the screen wherever you sit because the rows slope upwards pretty steeply. read more

This is a huge cinema complex which was only recently built. The building is modern and fresh and looks over the A10, so when you are sitting in the bar waiting for your film to start you can watch the world go by! You can opt for text updates and whenever you drive past it the cinema tries to bluetooth you their screenings! They have an extensive telephone screening guide and online! There are many screens with lots of films being shown which can mean long waiting in the queues for your tickets. This cineworld offers the option of paying a fixed monthly price to use the cinema as much as you want, and this is good value for regular cinema goers. I do advise you give the pick n mix/ ice cream/ popcorn and hot dogs (hot food) and cold drinks a miss as they are very expensive for what you get. Parking is expanse with spaces to the left of the cinema (where there is a large pizza hut for a meal out before or after your film) and an underground carpark too. You will never be short of a space. For the non drivers there is a main bus stop practically outside the station with buses from Enfield Town direction and accross the road from Enfield/Edmonton etc. There are plenty of food places local to the cinema including mcdonalds/old orleans/outback steakhouse/pizza hut/tgi fridays and more! And none more than a walk or 2 min drive away! Great for a birthday/special treat! read more

My regular haunt. Its a big place, loads of screens and a major attraction come friday/saturday night. This is the time I steer clear coz I hate queues and at those times its ridiculously long. Orange weds are just as bad. Other than that its great. Loads of parking too. An unlimited card means exactly that; unlimited visits. They recently put the price up to £13.50 per month but thats still cheaper than seeing two flicks a month. Last time I was there screen 10 had iffy sound, some faint bad reception type noise and the toilets harldy ever have soap but other than that its all good. I mean who washes their hands? lol Cinema grub is extortionate so bring your own food and smuggle it in, they only check for cameras and such. Sandwiches, drinks, guns and knives are all acceptable. Just got home from watching Avengers infinity at Cineworld Enfield. Someone brought a baby of around 1 year to see this film. The baby cried all the way through it. When I complained to the manager he explained that babies were allowed into all films for under 15 year olds. He didn't care that it ruined the experience of everyone else watching the film. Avoid this cinema, it's run by idiots. read more

This Cineworld has got air conditioning but they did have it on as I what a couple of months back it was lovely not too hot or cold but when I what they this week on Monday and Tueaday Screens 15 14 and even screen 9 was way to hot and also they need to start to upgrade this cinema and put in 4DX VIP and also that what this cinema need is a big upgrade better staff and betrer management new they got doing working and they are keeping us from knowing read more

This cineworld is really good but it is not public transport friendly which is a shame. This is one of the nicest Cineworlds I have been to. It has 12 good size screens with an imax as well. Baskin Robbins ice cream and few chain restaurants nearby as well as a decent size car park so you can always find a parking spot. If it was more public transport friendly I would come more often but unfortunately it isn't so I only come when I'm with my friends who drive. read more

This cinema complex is right next to Southbury Road Leisure Centre. I spend a few weekends a year at the pool for the Middlesex County Swimming Championships with our kids. Warm up starts at 8.15 in the morning and often the days races don't end till after 5 and the way events are spaced out we often have time to kill. And one of the ways we do that is catching a movie at this multiplex next door. Its spacious, with comfy seats and great legroom, loads of screens so we always find something that suits us. Like most cinemas the staff are not exactly helpful but no doubt they are not paid a great deal so shouldn't really expect too much. Its busy and can get scruffy with pretty iffy toilets. If I lived close I guess we would use it but for now it helps while away a couple of hours waiting for our next event read more

Big cinema complex with loads of screens. The majority of screens are big with comfy seats and plenty of legroom. Lots of parking space, and good bus links. There's a pick and mix stall, a food place selling the usual popcorn and hotdogs, and a bar/coffee shop upstairs. The food is very expensive though, so my tip is to go to Sainsburys or Morrisons across the road and stock up on snacks there! read more

this place is awesome! like radical. its so close to where i live-potters bar so just one bus ride to the cinema- the 313 is you want to know. they're so many screens, but i don't really know how many there are. films are really frequent so if you planned to watch one film but missed most of it you could always watch another or wait a couple of minutes for the next screenings. the food however is really quite expensive. i spent £10 on just a hot dog, a drink, and two bags of popcorn... however the drink and the hot dog was pretty massive. i did manage to get through it in like the first 10 minutes. Your not allowed to bring in food from another shop however but they don't really check your bags so just hide your food in your bag and you should hopefully be fine. Hopefully. read more

Hello . i am witing this review as i know it is difficult to get good feedback on a business with such transient customers. whilst their is a slight smell of urine in the lift area from the car park this kind of represents the difficuties of poviding facilities fo the general public where there is clearly an underlying local culture to urinate not in a loo, hardly the easist situation for cinema staff to deal with. car parking is free and easy and the bar has a great view of the bustle of noth london with good seats. screens big and tickets easily obtainable with good availability. toilets were clean but as we all know they are as clean as the last person who used them. my absolute biggit compliment is the honesty,frienlness and effieiency of staff. i drpped my visa card and it took me 4 days to ring up to see if was handed in. whilst it took a really big effort to get a tel number to talk to a member of staff as only numers available was for booking tickets. a memer of staff, being a nce young girl informed me she would check and ring me back. sure enough and she did with news of the card was found. so not only after 4 days where my card was handed in, this member of staff went the extra mile to help me. so a bg thank you! read more

huge cinema with really comfy seats. most of the screens have lots of legroom but in one of the old screens, number 5 i think it is, they've got different seats at the back which are asolutely terrible. great fun to go with kids; they love the sweets stalls and pick and mix area. my only problem was the price of the drinks and food. it is extremely expensive! a regualr coke was about 4 times more expensive that if bought outside the cinema complex so i would advise you to take your own. nice place to go in the evening as you can go and watch a movie and then go and eat at one of the nearby restaurants. read more
