I was actually surprised how much I enjoyed going here....I am not a film person....at all but as cinemas go this place is pretty decent. I mean how do you judge a cinema..... Big Screen.....check Good sound.....check Lots of junk food available at slightly overblown prices.....check Price wise I have no idea f this is reasonable but I think it was about £8 for a ticket....seems legit to me! This is now my third movie theatre I have visited in Birmingham and I can easily say it's my favorite. It reminds me of the cinemas back home: lots of screens, an Imax, big theatres etc. I purchased the tickets online because I could save about £1 per ticket if I registered for their online club. Tickets were more expensive than Odeon, but this place let's you book seats ahead of time. I really like that feature because I'm one of those people who arrives way too early just to guarantee a good seat. The location was easy to get to. We didn't even have to go down Broad st or enter the 5 Ways Roundabout. Parking is free at the parking ramp next to the theater (for first 3 hours). Just remember to have your ticket validated. Picking up my tickets was easy as I just used the ticket kiosks. Type in the booking code and you're done! As for snacks, it was a lovely warm day so ice cream was in order. I had one scoop while he had 2. It came to £7.60 which is a bit much for ice cream. We also grabbed a drink and munch box from the snack bar. I thought the cost of those 2 items was extremely reasonable. Our theatre was very big. The seats were actually in good condition unlike the nasty torn seats at Odeon. We had no problems with people in our seats. Once the previews began the projector was distorted. An employee came quickly to sort it out, and it was fixed in less than 5 minutes. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because I felt it was odd our movie wasn't fully utilising the wide screen. It had black bars at each end of the picture as if it was playing in the wrong setting. Like watching TV when something isn't wide screen. I mean it's 2015 so the movie should be using the entire screen, that's why they build them so big. So my final thoughts: I love Cineworld. Clean facilities. Great variety of movies and show times. Pretty affordable. I'm even considering getting the unlimited pass because it seems like a great deal for those who love to watch movies. And I think they offer food deals on Tuesday and Wednesday if you are looking to save some quid. read more

I'm a big movie person. I go cinema a lot and have the Cineworld Unlimited card. I recommend anyone to get it if you go cinema atleast once a week, it's so worth it and saves you money. I normaly don't buy anything from cinema, but when I do then It's tuesday or wednesday if I'm there. They have midweek special deal popcorn and drink for about £3. With Unlimited card you get discount on things so it's even cheaper. If your screen is upstairs and planning on getting snack then ask if they open the snack area, because a lit of the time it's closed upstairs. read more

So, as I have mentioned, we are pretty spoiled for Cinema's in Birmingham Centre. Between 2 Odeon's, the Electric and Cineworld (as well as film clubs showing movies in different locations), there isn't an excuse to catch a great flick regularly! Aside from a varied programme at the Electric, the next Cinema to show "World" or "Alternative" film is definitely Cineworld. It's a little shame about the location (I don't tend to go on Friday/Saturday evenings due to the hoards of people on Broad Street), but it is easy to get to being a 10 - 15 minute walk from the Centre or regular bus services drop right by the venue. Unlike most other cinema's, it's CHEAPER to book online with Cineworld! There aren't booking fee's and you get 10% off your ticket price. It's a good call if you want to catch something new on the night of release, as it can (obviously) get pretty busy. We have also had added loyalty bonus's on email, such as vouchers for a free drink or small popcorn. Not bad, ay? This Cinema is kept pretty clean and the toilets are normally in good nick. The prices are dependent on when you want to go, but it's cheaper than the Odeon (which is just over the way) and worth noting that both do "Bargain Tuesday" deals as an incentive to venture out midweek. Obviously, you have the choice of "Orange Wednesday" as well (if you're an Orange Customer). Snacks and drinks are extortionate, unsurprisingly, but there is a Sainsbury's supermarket on Broad Street should you wish to chance it and take your own. They do, do the CIneworld Unlimited movie cards (for a monthly rate) if you do go very regularly. We don't go to the Cinema much in peak rate, but if we do (and the film isn't showing at the Electric), we tend to hit Cineworld. read more

I used to have a unlimited cinewold card and ever since this has always been my cinema of choice for years now. Birmingham has plenty of cinemas to choose from but this is my favorite. You can park for free in the car park behind it for up to 3 hours. Just remember to swipe your ticket at the ticket desk. Tickets can also be brought at a stand alone desk if your in a rush. Tickets can be brought online cineworld website where you cab save 10%. Alternatively you can join meerkat movies app which gives you BOGOF tickets for Tuesday or Wednesday showings. Also store loyalty cards and bank account offers also offer decent discount tickets too. Also there are many offers on food and here too. Unlimited members who have a black members card get 15%off all purchases. They also get exclusive access to new movies and can pre book. Another reason I like this cinema is because it is clean and the staff are friendly. Never have I say down on a filthy seat or seen rubbish under my seat. The toilets are clean and nice to use. They have an IMAX experience screen here (screen 6) which is huge. everyone's is seated quickly and efficently with special 3D glasses. The sound and picture quality is out of this world. The 3D really pops out at you. They also hand out posters... Ask staff for this! read more

Cineworld may be a chain, but its a really good cinema. There are 12 screens here, 4 downstairs and 8 upstairs. Refreshments are available upstairs and downstairs, serving the usual popcorn, hot dogs, nachos and drinks, as well as having a pick 'n' mix sweet stall, bottled drinks and a Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream stand inside. The seats are really comfy, and there is plenty of leg room. The staff are usually friendly, and the facilities are really clean. If you're a Cineworld Unlimited card holder. you also get 10% off food and drinks purchased there. They also validate your parking for 3 hours at the ticket desk. This cinema is gargantuan, gigantorific, ginormous and other g words as well. Coming from the land of the free, where cinemas are stadium style and each chair is huge and plush with arm rests, I've been, needless to say, a little short of shocked and appalled at the state of cinemas in the UK. But this cinema is enormous, with four stories, 8,000 screens (really) and fine decor. As with most cinemas, the carpet is a bit faded, and the walls slightly tatty, but nothing out of the norm here. Someone else has mentioned the movie memorabilia, which I feel a dolt for forgetting about. The queues for tickets are always long, but only because it's busy. The service is quite fast. There's the usual array of pretzels, pop corn, hot dogs and sweets, plus Ben n Jerry's and pick n mix. The screens are all curved flex screens, which provide better viewing from anywhere in the cinema, and the seats are big, plush and comfy. I noticed one of the tags is for small seats -- I've been here a few times, and I think unless you're a "larger lady", the seats should do you just fine! Great movie watching experience! read more

If you sign up with my cineworld on their website you receive 10% of bookings, plus a few exclusive offers and competitions. You can even hire out one of the cinema screens for parties, conferences and school trips! There are plenty of refreshments available downstairs and upstairs as well as toilets. I always find the cinema to be clean and tidy, and the staff helpful. I have to admit that it took me a while to get used to Cineworld. Up until a couple of years ago, I always went to AMC Broadway Plaza, or to my local Showcase. However, in 2011, I went to a few Cineworld screenings with other people, and, when I saw the value of the Unlimited card (£14.99 a month for unlimited movies), I decided to take the plunge. I love movies, and yet couldn't really afford to go too often, however, with the card, it meant I could go weekly, and it would feel like a free night out! When I discovered that I could also use my Orange Wednesday, combined with my card, and take a guest for FREE, I really started to love it. I also get invited to previews, so can see films before they are officially released, which personally, I love! You get free parking in the NCP car park next door for the first 3 hours, and personally, now that I'm used to the layout, I really like the place. As it's on Broad Street, all be it at the far end, it does always feel a bit crazy gong there later of an evening (or coming out later) on a Thursday - Saturday, however, I've never actually seen any trouble, and can quickly skuttle back to the safety of my car! With the Unlimited card, you now also get 10% discount of food and drinks, so I do rather like having a coffee at the movies, as a bit of a treat. There's a lovely cafe upstairs, but it hardly ever seems to be open. I've been once, and it was nice enough. I sometimes find it too hot in there, and other times too cold, so layers are my usual choice of attire! As I tend to go early evenings, I rarely need worry about queues, and you can also buy tickets at Ben & Jerry's stand. On a Tuesday, they do a special reduced rate all day, so it's great value. Overall, a pleasant cinema in an easy to reach location, with free parking and a great offer for movie lovers. read more

Cineworld off Broad Street tends to be our cinema of choice. It has a good selection with over 10 screens, including an IMAX for the extra special cinema experience. I can't say much as the 3 star rating sums it up, it is A-OK. Staff are polite but not overly friendly. The cinema is well kept but not immaculate. Availability of films is generally good although we have been caught short on a couple of occasions when a film hasn't run as long as we were expecting it to. Its location is good, you can use your ticket to validate parking in the adjoining NCP Car park which is nice. The food is standard cinema fodder popcorn huge drinks, hotdogs and nachos, just be wary on the prices as although there are deals, we have been known to pay over £30 once food is added to the standard ticket price. This was my first time coming to a Cineworld before and it was a good experience. It has a nice, big and open space and they have good customer service. I like how they have reserved seats too! I enjoyed my movie experience and I really liked how comfortable the seats were. Their popcorn was pretty good, not too salty, not too sweet. Tasted like real popcorn! Fantastic cinema. The seating is ample and comfortable. The screens are much bigger than Odeon in City Center and with multi-story theaters, there's loads of choice. I liked the sound - it wasn't so loud like many cinemas in the area. The picture quality (IMAX) was also superb. The bar also offers water for free, which I thought was a nice perk. So many theaters charge for a cup of water. The snacks are also reasonably priced, especially the mid-week meal deal - a fiver for popcorn and drink. read more

I love all things film! It's not just Hollywood or British cinema; I'm a Bollywood buff too! This is why I'm a regular at Cineworld. It's the only city-centre cinema that offers films from all three categories! Its central location means I don't need to travel far and better yet, you get 3-hours free parking at the adjacent NCP! Over the years I have never experienced any qualms with staff or general hygiene. From the nachos (with extra jalapenos!), huge pic'n'mix range and ice-cream selection, there's something to keep you going through 3-hours of a Bollywood flick. There's also a bar upstairs to relax if you're an eager beaver before a preview. Prices are more reasonable than nearby cinemas, and the matinee shows are a great bargain. Wednesdays are very busy because of the Orange 2-4-1 deal but they have conveniently got ticket machines where you can enter your voucher code and avoid queueing up! read more

I have a cineworld card so I am regular at the Cineworld on Broad Street I've been to the IMAX screen twice, 3D a few and have seen a theatre production of Danny Bowle's Frankenstein for Halloween. The staff have been consistently good, when signing up for my cineword card it was nice to speak to another film fan as the member of staff signed me up. The cinemas are always clean and I've always enjoyed going. The only problem I've had is getting my ticket as when the cinema is busy. Having the cineworld card allows me to go to unlimited screenings and for standard tickets no money needs to be transacted. Having to queue can be a bit of a pain and I wish I could use the self service and have the people that check my tickets just verify my membership card. So it appears I've reviewed most other cinemas in Birmingham but left poor old cineworld somewhat neglected, which is a bit of a faux pas as it was our go-to cinema for a long time. In all honesty it's exactly what you'd expect from a cinema. There's a number of screens, overpriced concessions stands etc. However, I've always found it more comfortable the Odeon (although nothing will compare to the Electric for opulence), and generally at a much more preferable ambient temperature. They've relatively recently introduced an Imax screen and even more recently allocated seating when you book online. I'm not sure if this is for advance bookings only but it's a nice touch. They obviously show all the big releases but quite regularly screen Bollywood, Japanese and Korean cinema as well. Cineworld on Broad St. is the cinema I visit most in Birmingham. It's big, conveniently located and offers a range of different screen types. In many ways Cineworld provides exactly what you'd expect from a large cinema. There are various snacks on offer at counters throughout the building, from Ben and Jerrys ice cream to hot dogs and nachos, though they aren't cheap. On level one there's also a nice looking bar area, which I haven't tried. There are 12 screens in all, including an IMAX. This cinema seems to offer all of the big blockbusters you'd expect, plus some world cinema and other experiences, including theatre, ballet and opera filmed performances. Recently an allocated seating system has been introduced, meaning that you select your seats when booking tickets or paying at the tills. Contrary to my initial reservations, this seems to work well and most people seem to stick to their allocated seats - I've only once come across someone sitting in my seat. If you're after a special film night then you'd be better off going to the Electric, but Cineworld is perfect for catching those big blockbusters on a really big screen. read more

Being an avid Movie fan and having a multi-plex cinema within walking distance of my home is heaven for me! This cinema is perfect for my expectations. It has an IMAX and also shows viewings in 3D and standard 2D. The concession stands are very clean, serving your usual popcorn, drinks, sweets and Ben & Jerry's ice cream. Pretty pricey as most Cinemas are. If you have a Cineworld card though, you get 10% discount on all confectionary. The only qualm I would have about the concession stands is that often when it's quiet upstairs can be closed, but you don't realise until you're up there! Worth checking before you go up. The staff are friendly and helpful. About the Cineworld card: £15.90/month for unlimited movies!!! It ultimately pays for itself if you watch around 2 movies. If you choose an IMAX movie, its £5 on top. If you choose a 3D movie, it's £3 on top. A great deal for the "frequent flyers". You also occasionally get emails offering free popcorn and drinks on your next visit. Good movie venue in a good location just at the top of Broad Street by the Five Ways roundabout. read more

I'm a big fan of going to the cinema and think nothing more of taking myself off on cinema days where I'll watch three films in one go. Given ticket prices as of late, this sounds like an incredibly indulgence but with the Unlimited card it's a great deal. It is a monthly price for the card and usually works out at about going to 2-3 screenings a month to make your money's worth. The screens are usually tidy and there's plenty of space in the seats/leg room. They introduced allocated seating which initially I wasn't keen on, but is actually quite handy. If you're not an Unlimited card holder it's worth booking online to get a discount on your tickets. Recently with some of the blockbuster's coming out there have been a few instances of people who clearly don't know how to behave checking their phone during the screening, which is incredibly annoying. Personally if they're within a distance I can tell them off I will but if not there are security around if you're not brave enough to tell someone off yourself. Snacks are usual cinema prices but there's a discount with the Unlimited card (mine's 25% off) and with a Sainsburys nearby they don't seem too fussed if you bring your own stuff. Thankfully the foam bananas have returned to the pick'n'mix after a long disappearance. There's also a few food places to eat nearby so it's a nice evening out...although the walk down Broad St of an evening is sometimes less fun (and some times quite entertaining). The Unlimited card means Cineworld is my first choice for films and it usually has a good selection of films, with the occasional indie/smaller release films too. read more

Birmingham is fortunate to be awash with cinemas of virtually every variety. Cineworld on Broad Street, in Brum's city centre, has become my favourite go-to among the larger chain cinemas. Cineworld is very conveniently located on Broad Street close to the Park Regis and Five Ways roundabout at the Five Ways entertainment centre. Arriving from the direction of Five Ways allows you to escape the insanity of Broad Street, and it's a short walk from the rail station if you don't feel like battling it out for a parking space. If you are driving however, Cineworld will validate tickets for the nearby car park for up to three hours. The cinema holds twelve screens on several floors. On any given week, you'll find 15+ movies being screened, including top blockbusters as well as films that have since departed other cinemas. As late as May 2016, The Force Awakens was still being shown at limited times. If you are one who doesn't book ahead online/in-app, then Cineworld is a great place to purchase tickets for blockbusters on the day of your viewing. The debut week of Captain America: Civil War saw two screens per hour dedicated to the movie for the 2D version alone. Ticket bookings may be made through their smartphone app, through the Cineworld website, or purchased on-site either at the front desk or at any of the concession areas. Unlike some of the cinema locations in the city, Cineworld allows you to choose your seat at the time of booking, which allows you to arrive a bit later to skip the typical 20+ minutes of commercials and movie trailers. The cinema has many concession areas in the building, including a sweets area packed with various candies. Although you won't find a posh bar with craft cocktails, a small selection of beers and ciders are available for purchase at surprisingly reasonable prices for a cinema. Given all of the in and out traffic that comes in from Broad Street, you would assume that this cinema would become worse for wear rather quickly. The hard working staff are somehow able to beat the odds with impeccable cleaning practices. The lobby, hallways, and toilets are always nice and shiny. The theatres themselves are clean, free of rubbish, and I have yet to find a seat with holes, grime, or cushion issues. I assume that Cineworld actually makes repairs to their seats, unlike some of the other area cinemas where I have almost been dumped into the floor from a broken chair. The screens themselves are all digital with the latest screen and sound equipment. At least one screen is dedicated to IMAX. I've found the theatres to have very professional sound calibration. Even with action movies, explosions etc have not been too loud, and dialogue has been easy to hear. If you frequent the movies often, it's worth looking into their unlimited movie pass, which costs the price of two movies a month for unlimited screenings, and comes with some good discounts. Overall, if you are looking to see some of the latest movies in a clean and comfortable environment, screened with high quality equipment, Cineworld Broad Street is the way to go! read more

I went to Cineworld Broad Street to watch the Jungle Book. It has a great location and free parking (validation) if you watch a film, which of course you would do! You save 10% on the cinema ticket if you book online which I know isn't much but it's better than full price. The popcorn and drinks etc are very expensive which I guess is normal for cinemas. You are allowed to take your own food and drink as long as it is not hot food (and I assume no alcohol). Pleasant cinema however the air in the screen seemed to smell very stale. read more

Cineworld has been my usual cinema destination now for over 10 years. As an unlimited card holder (which is still unbeatable value), I frequent the cinema every week for all the latest movie release. The seats are very comfortable, the legroom is excellent and the facilities are generally very clean. If you want to pay for the popcorn, drinks and sweets, there is a good selection and it is no more expensive (i.e. it still is) than anywhere else. It's not all great - you do have to negotiate your way up Broad Street (which in the evenings is never something I enjoy)), and it can get extremely hot (as the heating seems to always be on) ... and indeed it is beginning to look a little tired at times. The IMAX in Screen 6 is going to be a fab addition though and as multiplex/mainstream cinemas go it is still one of the better ones so keep supporting your local cinema! read more

Birmingham has had its fair share of Cinemas and none of them really have ever had that wow factor but I have to say that this place is where we frequent the most. After last nights experience to see Jurassic World at the IMAX I felt it was about time that I got on reviewed them. Their efficiency of getting everyone seated quickly and pleasantly was most satisfying. The IMAX Screen itself is huge for a film as big as this, it's going to be busy. The screen was packed and there was a lot of people to be seated. They managed to do it brilliantly and it is a great example of how good the staff are here. There are still a few things that bug me about Cineworld but they are small things that are easily overlooked and not bad enough to stop be going. The prices i think are high but then all Cinemas seem to be charging this price now so I can't really hold them at fault for keeping up with the times. The toilets I think could be a bit cleaner but again i do understand there is an incredible amount of people using it all the time. The most annoying thing I have found is that the desk at the front where the tickets are sold can be incredibly slow. There are a couple of times that I have seen elderly ladies working here who are not competent at using the tills and therefore take ages to serve someone. In a place where people are coming to see scheduling programming this can be quite frustrating if you are running a bit late. It's not as though they are new to the till either as I have visited a couple of months later only to find the same woman working at the same speed. Either way i think this is one of the best cinemas in Birmingham, if not, the best if you want to go and watch that all important blockbuster movie. If its the right type of movie (e.g Jurassic Park, Avengers etc) I would throughly recommend treating yourself, spending the extra money and trying out the IMAX screen, mind blowingly good. read more

Situated easily at Five ways it gets five stars. This is a great cinema with great prices. It offers great family and student discounts everyday of the week. It is also deceptively large, and very clean and kept in a high standard. It has more than one snack counter and queues are dealt with very quickly. The screens are large and the seats are very comfy, so there is nothing to moan about in here. Also a great range of films are on offer including Bollywood, Art house and classic re-releases. The ticket queue on weekends can be very long due to the cinemas ever growing popularity, so you have be fore warned. read more

Ah, Cineworld. Staple of any serious film buff in Birmingham, purely by merit of the firm's Unlimited card, which allows you to watch as many films as you like for the price of approximately two admissions per month. Add to this the fact they have a Ben & Jerry's ice cream bar, and there you have the two principle reasons for picking this place over the nearby AMC or the Odeon in the city centre. Unfortunately, there are several reasons to advise against the Cineworld for the casual cinema-goer. As it's the most accessible cinema on the main Broad Street strip, it is disappointingly common for your experience to be interrupted by inconsiderate folk on their mobile phones. I don't know what it is about this cinema, but it seems to attract some of the rudest clientele I have experienced anywhere. The whole place could do with a proper clean, too, or even better a complete refurb. I've been going there for years, and there are still screens where you get an unpleasant odour that I can only assume are coming from the nearby toilets. It's also more expensive than the AMC, which is hard to understand given that its facilities are inferior. You have to pay even more if you want to see a 3-d film, even if you have a pair of glasses left over from a previous visit. They even have the cheek to ask you to return your 3-d glasses afterwards, no doubt to be re-sold over and over again! Also, do yourself a favour and avoid the upstairs bar; It's vastly overpriced and the lager I had tasted of cleaning fluid. On the plus side, the cinema does boast a diverse range of international films that you won't see anywhere else in the centre of town, so if that's your bag it's worth at least checking this place out. read more

This cinema is passed it's sell by date. It needs a spring clean, and generally made to feel nice - I hate going and finding popcorn everywhere! Also get fed up with noisy people though they seem to have sorted this out. The toilets (well female ones, cant comment on mens) have a problem with sewers or similar as it aways is smelly. Also they are tatty and bit run down. They do a better choice of film than the ODEON occasionally showing arthouse fare but in the main it's mainstream stuff. There is the obligatory popcorn and sweets/ice-cream counter upstairs and downstairs. Bar (licensed) upstairs to meet friends if yo are early. The cinema is at the top of Broad St so is busy at the weekend so if you are driving give yourself plenty of time in case you get stuck in the horrendous traffic. If you visit the cinema regularly, might be worth getting an unlimited card which is £12 a month which means you can see as many films you like a month. read more

A good cinema that's my usual stop to see any new movie. The price is very reasonable for the screen and sound system that's installed in each room and the newest movies are always shown here. There is plenty of parking in the carpark nextdoor and the cinema validates your parking ticket so it's free! There is also a bar so you can relax and have a quick drink while you wait to be seated. read more

Cineworld is my go-to choice when I want to go and see a film, It's really quick to get a ticket and be served at the food counter. The staff are really friendly and being a sad person I actually liked it when a member of staff came to check if everything in the screening was okay and told people to refrain from putting their feet up on seats. This Cineworld cinema is on Broad Street which is full of bars/pubs and clubs. It is a nice, clean cinema with comfy seats. Be aware that if you are watching a late movie as you are walking out there are likely to be lots of drunken crowds especially if its a big club night with Gatecrasher right next door. It is probably easiest to get to by foot as the road is always very busy. Definitely a good place to watch a movie and out of all the cinemas in Birmingham I recommend it (Imax is better!) read more

The screens are large and the seats spacious. There is a great list of films to choose from and a must go for the bollywood fans. Queues are never long and you can be in you screening within minutes of purchasing your tickets. read more

Cineworld Broad Street epitomises Charles Dickens famous opening to A Tale of Two Cities, offering cinemagoers both the best, and worst of times. At its worst its little better than the showing of Snow White from Gremlins with anything from crying babies, conversations about work, spoilers about the film to the inevitable ringing phones. Smart phone users post "Still at the cinema" as their facebook status update continually for the full two hours, their glowing screens disrupting those around them, whilst irresponsible parents bring toddlers to see Robocop, because it's a 12A and you can. During the best of times well behaved crowds simply enjoy the film and the picture quality, sound quality and comfortable seats offer an unrivalled cinema experience. Don't be fooled by the large number of screens either, many mainstream films, most recently Her, disappear completely or are reduced to just one daily showing just a week after release. The attitude of staff echoes the Jekyll and Hyde personality of the cinema with some exceedingly pleasant and helpful staff equalled in number by those who choose not to even look at you as they tear your ticket. Buying a cinema ticket does get you 3 hours of free parking at the nearby multi story and the cinema does boast Birmingham's only IMAX cinema, The Giant Screen at Millennium point having lost the IMAX rights. I have an unlimited card which gets me as many films as I like for £16 a month, over a year I've seen 44 films, averaging £4 a ticket. Beware though, in the first year there is an additional charge for 3d and IMAX films. Whilst you can book a ticket in advance online you cant book any more that one, even on different dates. So if you want to sort your tickets in advance for the next few days or you think an exclusive midnight screening may sell out its tough. The unlimited card does get you a discount off snacks and drinks, but even with the discount the nearby Sainsburys, Tescos and Morrisons will still sell you smoked salmon and Prosecco cheaper than cinema Popcorn and Coke (slight exaggeration). In addition being a card holder means that when you take the little ones you cant benefit from the family ticket offers, although you can get your friend an Orange Wednesday ticket for free using your unlimited card to 'pay' for your entry and qualify for their free one so its not all bad. Overall the potential is there for this to be an awesome cinema, unfortunately some investment in staff training and monitoring of clientele needs to happen for this to be somewhere I'd heartily recommend. read more

Normally pretty quiet but busy at the weekend due to its central location on Broad Street where Birmingham's main pubs and clubs are located. A modern multiplex set over two floors with escalators taking you upstairs. Queues to buy tickets move very quickly and the staff always seem very pleasant. This place is massive, and has an interesting array of signed film posters and memorabilia upstairs. I think it's the prime location for any Birmingham premieres of films (not that such things tend to exist). I find the prices very competitive, and the screens are all big and well-seated. The big bonus for Cineworld Broad Street is the range of films on offer. Outside of some of the smaller arthouse cinemas, this is where you're going to find the more independent and niche films of the day. There's a huge car park round the corner from the entrance as well. Good start to a night out, as you can hit Broad Street's clubs and bars afterwards. read more
