This is one of my fave theatres. The recliners are great. I like the idea of heated seats but the time I paid for them, only one of 3 was working. The girl who works at the Xscape arcade here is AMAZING. She has the patience of a Saint and treats all the kids so kindly. I like the system of being able to load cards at the arcade and the game where you can try to pick up rolls of tickets. It's a claw game you can actually win at. There are a few games that are money traps, but we love the fishing game and Jurassic Park, Connect 4, ice hockey etc. I've had only good encounters with the staff. read more

Theatre #5 is the basis for this review. Short summary: The projector has strong barreling with terrible colour accuracy. If only that was the main issue... The audio in this theatre is nothing short of broken. Storyline dialect was at times un-distinguishable. The bass is heavy, loose, and super sloppy. The front drivers sound muffled by the old display. All spoken word are output by these speakers, which leave you feeling like you need to sit closer to the screen to hear. The movie I saw was Black Panther. Once home, I watched every trailer available and was shocked how much better my basic home setup sounded. read more

This is a movie theatre complex. I believe they have 8 different theatres? Always has new releases as well as vintage movies weekend mornings, if you are looking to watch older movies or to take kids to a morning movie. It's a bit quieter than as well. They have self-serve kiosks or you can wait in line to talk to a human to purchase your tickets. You can even purchase your tickets on-line with Cineplex. They have an arcade for video games as well as table hockey, if you need to kill some time. They have a selection of food and snacks. Your basics like popcorn and then if you require something a bit more hearty, chicken fingers, pizza and poutine. Yes, they are always busy, particularly on weekends and new releases. Going to the movies isn't cheap after you factor movie tickets, snacks and all that good stuff. Something about going to a theatre and smelling that popcorn still makes me happy. Instead of waiting for it to be released and watch at home, is so much better going to the theatre. This is a great theatre in the NW and the staff are always great. read more

they have finally brought in recliners which is cool because I've used the recliners up other theaters and once you go recliner it's really hard to go back to regular movie seat. So that's definitely a plus considering this is my go-to theater that I usually always hit up. The recliners in this location aren't as good as the recliners at the brand new Seton theater or even landmark I think was a little different but they're still recliners and they still are comfy. The only theatre in the deep NW Calgary so it's better then nothing :) Therefore, it's always busy and parking is can be a pain sometimes, but you'll find a spot eventually if you look hard enough or willing to park further. Old theatre for sure, definitely could use a massive face lift... Nothing compared to the Landmark 16 theatre. Has a good selection of movies and fairly fast lines. Nice staff and a good night out or a good time for after shows with the kids. read more

I think this is probably my favourite cinema to go to in the city. Not only is it the closest to me, but it's the best one too! I like that it's not so crazy with lights and glamor inside that you become overwhelmed. I love that their little arcade section is located in a totally different area than the rest of the theatre. And I absolutely love that their is a Yogen Fruz store in the theatre. Sometimes I get so sick and tired of popcorn that a nice frozen yogurt is actually quite refreshing. Okay, okay, so the screens aren't as big as some other theatres, and the chairs might not have as high of backs, but it's also not always packed full! I like knowing that I can go into a movie during the previews and not struggle to find a seat. This always has been and always will be my favourite movie theatre. I'm devoted to this place and probably won't go elsewhere... unless my movie isn't playing at this theatre which happens sometimes. read more

I'm with Lindsay K. on this one: Crowfoot Crossing Cinemas is definitely one of the better theatres in the city. While I frequented it a lot more when I lived in the N.W., I still find myself making a trip over now and then. Lindsay K. is definitely right when she says that it's a safe bet that even if you do walk in during the previews, you'll still find a good seat. I also enjoy the Yogen Fruz thoroughly. I also really like the location of this particular theatre because while you can't talk during the movie, you can head over to Schank's right after and have a couple of drinks and catch up with old friends. Plus if you're doing the dinner/movie thang, there are a whole slew of restaurants in the Crowfoot area for you to enjoy...what could be better??? Crowfoot Cinemas is the perfect spot for an evening long date. Dinner, a movie and drinks afterwards. Life is good. read more

This theater is in NW and the closest to my home; therefore the one I visit most frequently. There are 12 screens available with 6 screens for 3D movies but no IMAX or AVX. Concession options are: outtakes, yogen fruz, Starbucks, and pizza 73. Self serve kiosks available so you don't need to line up at the box office. I usually buy my tickets online and just print them at the theater. There are also some arcade games but I have never played there... I wonder if it is still worth to have those at movie theaters... read more

Love their new recliner seats. They are so comfortable and clean! Purchased the tickets online and it is convenience not having to print out the tickets in advance as they can just scan the bar code on your phone. Like their feature being able to reserve your seats in advance. Great for going to see the movie with a bigger group of people. read more

A - List. OK, this is a movie theatre complex. They have self-serve kiosks or you can talk to a human to purchase your tickets. You can even purchase your tickets on line.They have so-called snacks and drinks. They have video games. They have bathrooms. The employees show up, do a job and go home. This is not a place for 5 star service. Oh, yes, then there are the movies. This location seems to have a good selection of Hollywood movies, with a good change over tempo. Yes, they have line-ups, particularly on weekends. Yes, the place and bathrooms will get filthy dirty at times. Of special note, it appears many boys and grown men (who apparently behave as young boys) still are challenged by the concepts of respect, courtesy and a high standard of cleanliness within public washrooms. How are the women's side of things? If you are looking for independent films, try downtown. If you have an AMA membership go to an AMA location and save. We don't often go to the cinema anymore, but once in a while there's a movie that we'll make the trip for. Crowfoot Crossing doesn't have the biggest screens or the fanciest sound system, but the overall experience is about what you'd expect for a cineplex; just resist the temptation to buy overpriced, unhealthy concession food. read more

My favourite part about this Cineplex location is that it's convenient for those, like me, who live in the NW and like to watch special presentations (such as 'classic movie' screenings or special movie series). I often find this is the only location other than Chinook that shows such presentations, which is very helpful for those who take transit or simply prefer not to drive down to Chinook. It's an average cinema with decent-sized theatre rooms and a tiny arcade. Parking is great--despite how busy it gets, you're bound to get a spot nearby since the lot is huge, and you can also park just across near the Chapters & Sportcheck too just a few paces away. Cleanliness is usually just fine when I go, and they have TimePlay for those who've signed up (when I first moved here from Vancouver, TimePlay was nonexistent in Calgary, so I'm happy with the addition). This place is nothing 'spectacular', but really, as long as it's clean and has seats for lots of shows, what else do you need? read more

Compared to the large theatres now being built this one is a little on the small side. It has all the basics, multiple food vendors and video games but the individual cinema's are a bit small and the your seats aren't very elevated so a tall person in front will ruin your view. read more

Crowfoot Cinemas are a matter of convenience for me. Its close to my home so if I want to see a film and not drive far, this is where I go. On the weekends it can be crazy here. The way that the ticket machines and counter are right in front of the doors can cause the lines to go right outside. The theatre could use a makeover, but it's not in too bad of shape. The concession is the same as others, expensive. The theatres are not stadium seating, so the screen is smaller. I usually come here if I have a free pass or have bought a ticket pack from Costco. I don't mind coming to this theatre to see a film that has been out for a bit, but I try to avoid the weekend crowds. It serves its purpose as a decent place to check out a flick. read more

Staff are wonderful . The movie selection is good. But a renovation is in order. Two of the theaters have urine soaked seats. Sometimes you can smell it before you sit. Sometimes it isn't until I have "heated" the seat up a bit, then the smell hits . Getting up 20 minutes into a movie to find a different seat shouldn't be part of a movie experience. Parking is often an issue on weekends. Plan to leave early or park around the back of the building. read more

Definitely not the cream of the crop of theater experiences. This is an older cinema that appears to be nearing its expiration date. Not a bad place to catch a movie with the kids but if you are paying teh bucks anyway you might as well hit a newer theatre like Cross Iron Mills. read more

Crowfoot Crossing cinemas is one of the better commercial places in the city. They have 12 screens and usually show the best new movies out. But what I really like about the theatres is that they're actually comfortable. The seats have enough leg room for tall people and they're set up high enough that shorter people can still see the screen without much restriction. I do have concerns with their concessions though. The prices have recently gone up to the point of lunacy for even a kids combo (something like $8). That's not even justifiable for a few kernels of popcorn, a tiny drink and a Kinder egg. But that's how it is at every theatre these days. I also don't understand why they have facilities for hotdogs and pizza and other items, but never open them. I've been to close to ten movies there and I've never seen that side of the concession stand open. It's weird but probably just as well; I imagine hotdogs would go for something like $12 in their price scheme..... read more

Terrible! Don't go here! Theaters are old and the seats are small and broken. It's obvious this place has never been renovated. We saw our movie in theater 6 and I had to go all the way back to the entrance to use the bathroom mid movie. Rubbish!!! Bathrooms were gross. Not dirty per say but not clean looking. Residue of some sort in all the creases and joints of the stalls. Just gross. The butter topping machine was out of order. IMHO in that situation they should have been offering a discount at the register for real butter or even given it away for free. Hell even mentioning it was out of order would've been a start! I wouldn't have gotten popcorn! read more

Arcade games were almost all broken. Attendant only gave us our tokens back. Not the worst the thing but his "not really my problem" attitude combined with the fact that he refused to put an out of order sign up clearly showcases the utter disrespect for their customers and over the top greed. Although this theatre is the closest to my home, I avoid it in favor of Chinook, Westhills or even drive across town to the cheap Theatre in the SE. The seats feel cramped, the angle is low enough that you get the back of people's heads and the concession has very little to offer besides popcorn and soda. read more

This theatre is in major need of renovation and cleaning! We were there last night and with the side rows light being on we noticed the bottom walls!! They were caked with dirt, food and like 1/2 inch of dust. I have never seen anything so dirty. Wish we had noticed this before. We couldn't believe it! read more

Facility itself is decent enough, but it's kind of appalling that there's no clear way to phone in and talk to a flesh-and-blood person. I needed to get in touch with them to ask about a cell phone that was left in the theatre. I hardly ever go to the movies, but when I do I typically head to Studio 16 on Country Hills or out to Cross Iron Mills, due to the large size and comfortable seats. If I'm spending money on a movie and snacks, I want to be comfy! However, this past snowy Sunday, we decided to catch a matinee near our house in Crowfoot. As usual, the parking lot was packed, so I was a little worried about the theatre being busy, but it wasn't too bad. Mostly teenagers hanging out and parents with their little kids. Its a little small compared to the newer theatres now, but sometimes that's okay! We bought our tickets as well as a popcorn & drink combo, which actually wasn't too expensive (for theatre prices) at $10. Scene members also get 10% off so it's worth it to sign up! I noticed they serve Starbucks coffee and Yogen Fruz here as well. We were able to grab great seats right at the back in the middle even though we were about 5 minutes late. The seats weren't hugely uncomfortable either! The movie was fun, the theatre and washrooms were clean, and my boyfriend loves the arcade. I'd see a movie here again if the opportunity presented itself! read more
