Unfortunately, our server, Kandi, came across as very rude and unwelcoming from the beginning. Her tone felt aggressive, and she seemed short with all of us while we were ordering. I have a texture issue with poached eggs, so when ordering the Cochon Benedict, I politely explained that I don't like poached eggs and asked if scrambled eggs would be possible instead. I was still very excited about the dish and was open to the substitution. Her response was essentially, "Well, it's supposed to be served that way. That's what makes a Benedict a Benedict, but I guess I'll see if we can do that." As someone who has also worked in the service industry, I completely understand that restaurants have certain ways they prepare and serve their dishes, and I understand that substitutions aren't always possible. What disappointed me was the tone and the lack of warmth in the interaction. There was no need for my request to feel like an inconvenience, especially when I was simply explaining a dietary/texture preference and asking if there was another option. Honestly, after that first interaction, I almost didn't want to order at all because I wondered how the rest of the experience would go. I want to emphasize that the restaurant itself is beautiful, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere has so much potential. My experience with the other staff members was positive, which made the interaction with our server stand out even more. I'm praying for Kandi and genuinely hope she was simply having a rough day. I don't know what she may have been dealing with that day, and I never want to judge someone based on one interaction. However, as a customer visiting from out of town, first impressions matter, and unfortunately, the service took away from what could have been a wonderful overall experience.

We started with the upside down chicken Caesar salad with fries. Delicious. Fries could've been hotter but the salad was the star. A meal on its own but i love that red fish so much. Admission is very reasonable at $5 per person, but we were lucky to visit after 11:30 on a certain day that Kohl's was sponsoring so we all got to visit for free. The museum is smaller than a lot of big city children's museums, but full of fun. They have a water zone with a large water table and a cool device that kids can stand in and make bubbles around themselves (you must try it--totally fun). They also have a large sand table, a two-story firehouse/police station, a kids cafe and lots of open-ended play stations and science explorations set up throughout the building. Both of my kids (1 and 4) loved playing in the kids cafe. It is a mock restaurant complete with a hostess stand, several tables and a back kitchen. We loved all the realistic elements added to the cafe like the coffee pots, soda dispenser and cash register. Two things I didn't like. 1. The bathrooms did not have diaper changing stations in them which seems like a given at a children's museum. 2. The fire station has a narrow stairway to climb up and once on top, there isn't much headroom for adults. There is a firemen's pole to slide down, but really little ones could easily walk right off the edge. My 20-month old almost walked right through the hole.

They have a vast selection of different wine flavors for everyone to choose from. I especially enjoyed the kiwi strawberry and chocolate raspberry wines. We also ordered the flatbread pizza and cheese / fruit plate. The food was a great pair with the wine. The tour was a few hours long and very informative. The owner took us around the grounds and showed the process in the wine making. We stayed at the Airbnb located on the vineyard grounds. It is a tiny house, but is very cozy and clean. I highly recommend visiting to taste the wine and experiencing the tour. The owners are very nice and appreciative of their loyal customers.

They have all branches of military and memorabilia from every war. After you finish the inside museum then there is kind of another museum outside with several planes and helicopters that you can get right next too. I got there just after 3 and to really take everything in you need more than an hour.
