Since June 2024 the staff at Chennault Park have made vast improvements to the golf course. The…read moregreens which have been very subpar over the past 5-6 yrs have improved drastically and with the new irrigation system the greens and fairways will only improve. It is one of my favorite tracks, long and demanding, and am looking forward to playing more rounds in the future as I stayed away the past few years. Nice practice area also

I recently discovered this lovely park (hidden off Milhaven, near the airport) full of beautiful…read moreoak trees. I now have new trails to explore! It appears that there are a few covered picnic areas but I'm unsure about the condition of the run down looking tennis courts and playground areas throughout the park. I only noticed a few runners/walkers on a paved path along the east perimeter. There is a horseshoe pitching area further in the park. Also, the NELA soccer complex is located within the park on the east side. The 204 acres, 18-hole golf course is situated within the 500 acres of Chennault Park. However, I cannot give an accurate review since I'm not a golfer, nor am I knowledgeable with the ins and outs of the course. Driving by, the course looks nice and properly maintained. I guess the general public doesn't usually frequent the park because it is a bit hidden and is probably better known to the golfing community or those who use the outdoor soccer fields. It would be nice to have a picnic here when the weather cools down and it's not triple digits temperatures outside. Please check out this local park when you find the time!

The Reservation (as it is called now) is family owned and operated. 9 Holes but you can pay to play…read moretwice for an 18 hole experience for not much more than the 9 holes. You can tell the current owners really care about this course from what they've done and what they plan to do to fix it up. They recently acquire brand new carts. I've been told they plan on adding a driving range. (It used to have one under the previous owners, but doesn't have one now.) I'll be straight forward, if you go play with the mindset that you will be playing a tour-quality course, you will be disappointed. But if you are going with your crew to have a casual round or you need to practice, this is perfect for that. One of the couple downsides* I would say it has, is that some may think it is a bit too easy. There are very little hazards, and there are currently no bunkers, but I've been told they may add some in the future. The next downside I would say it has is that the ball markers need to be updated and the cart paths are a bit beaten, but the green fees (incl carts) are extremely affordable. if you prefer golf of the disc variety, they've added disc golf baskets and I've been told that they are pretty well-placed.

This course is really a housing-based golf course. Family owned and operated. It is situated in a…read moresubdivision and has some challenges to it. The course is very reasonably priced, so don't go with a mindset. that you will be playing on a tour course. there are challenges to this course and it is better than some I've played on but is not as good as the high-end courses that you pay $90 a person plus cart fee. It is a fun little course. Go try it out you'll like it if you are honest.
