I live in Southern California and as I was enjoying my Saturday, I suddenly remembered: I had…read moredropped the ball and forgotten to ship presentation decks out to my associate in Montreal. Now, Montreal is three hours ahead so I'm panicked trying to find a print shop that will print 13 books on a Saturday afternoon. I did a yelp search and was lucky to find CDM. Julien Cauli answered the phone and reassured me that he would do the best job possible for me and he did. He even provided me with pictures of the book to show me the quality of their work. I had a local courier pick them up and deliver them to the hotel. A seamless transaction in the eyes of everyone else. I highly recommend CDM Print in Montreal. Thanks again!

I stumbled on J Print while looking for a printing shop in Montreal. Derrick did not disappoint! I've been getting my school supplies at Zoubris ever since I was in high school. I remember they…read morewere the only place who still had that plastic wrap to cover your books after the back to school sales were over. They even sponsored my yearbook when I was a senior. They have my favourite notebook brand (clairefontaine) and I can always count on them to have fair prices. Every time I need whiteout, pencils, erasers, etc... during my exam season, I go here and pick them up. It's convenient and well stocked. Dollarama school supplies are too cheaply made and Jean coutu sells almost the same product but at unreasonable prices. Bureau en gros only has sales in September for back to school, otherwise everything is full price and not worth it since you can get it here for less. If you can, try to stop here for your school supplies :) Well worth the money.

There are a couple of computers kept physically clean and also blessedly clean of crazy downloads and popups. The print process is super easy, you can't really fuck it up, you open your file and hit print and it comes out of the machine right behind you. If you need help the men and women who work here never seem to have the mad stressed out vibe of other print shop hustlers, maybe because it is a little tucked out of the way. They are mellow but ready to help and they seem to know their stuff, though honestly my needs have been pretty plug and play so far. One of the guys who works here is deaf. He is awesome, very friendly and funny and fast. Pro tip: you do not need to yell or gesticulate wildly for him to understand you, just relax, he reads lips, everything will be fine.

When in a pinch, this cute office supplies store can surely help you out. Thing is, they have a…read moregood selection of fancy stuff, and little of your regular lower quality stuff. In the end everything is a bit expensive, because everything is ornamented (plastic file holder with velvet on, really?). The paper is French with way more lines than I'm used to, the post-its are not yellow, they are greeny-brown with motifs.. They do have a brilliant choice of agendas come September, and they have a big bear in their display window I want to give a big hug to! At the back of the store is a very practical UPS counter!
