Made sure she didn't eat it all at once. She woke us up at 6am yacking up the sweet potato and left orange vomit everywhere. No idea if it was old or bad but stay away. Honestly what a disappointment. You can get everything there at any other pet store. There's nothing local or unique. Some Grateful Dead toys but they're from a brand. Some slightly more elevated brands that maybe you can't find at PetSmart but that's it. The girl working the counter was incredibly rude. She was on the phone talking loudly for at least 5 minutes. Said she was talking to her boss to a customer she was ringing up at the register but then talked about personal stuff on the phone. The store is very small and cramped. Even though it's a pet store it's not dog friendly. The girl never acknowledged my dog. I asked if they had any local baked dog treats like most small individual dog stores do, she pointed me to a shelf of big brand dog treats. I clarified and she was clueless and then said no. Waited at the register to buy something and she was looking at paperwork on a clipboard even though we were directly in front of her with our wallet out. Asked for a sweet potato treat. She shoves the container from her side of the counter at us. I asked for a bag for it. She expected me to go in there with my hands and take it. Immediately started ignoring us after we paid. It's a cute name but that's about it.

They are very competent and have a good manner. They give us unhurried attention and we have gotten good results from recommendations. The entire staff is exceptionally helpful and are genuinely nice. The pricing seems to be on a par with other places and is less than some. We live nearby and have 7 cats. There are doctors that we like at other establishments. However many have gone Corporate and have raised their prices. I was at Wdstk today with an old cat. I was given a demo by the doctor, Maja, on wrapping the cat for oral meds in a "burrito" w towel! Also, I got to listen to cats heart w a stethoscope to understand the situation! Finally, but not all, getting an appointment has been a better experience here.

Some people only care about their job as a paycheck. Kellie cares about her job because she cares about dogs. And she'll care about your dog just as much as she cares about her own. We have not found anyone as caring, loving and responsible as John at S&G! We've even boarded Barbara (who has never been boarded before), and she loved it. John also sends photos from the day and it's clear how much the dogs love playing and spending time with each other at S&G.
