This is a small storefront restaurant that packs a punch. Call ahead for seating (due to size) or, better yet, order out and enjoy your food by walking the sort distance to the beach. Authentic Mexican food with quality service. Everything our group of three had was delicious. I subtracted one star due to size of restarting small and thus there being a wait.

Cinco de Mayo is a cute budget friendly Mexican restaurant in ocean city. The service was great, food came out fast and was delicious. We ended up trying Cinco de Mayo for an early dinner. It was not crowded and our food came out about 10 mins after ordering. Their menu has many varieties and has a separate section for vegetarian options. We ordered the sopes and chicken enchiladas and both were great. I'm normally not a salsa verde fan but Cinco de Mayos was delicious. We enjoyed our time here and the meal and look forward to returning. Things to know: -The place is very small so call ahead to see if they have a table. If not they have takeout so you can still enjoy. -street parking is available -they had two dessert options (flan and tres leches) but sadly we were too full to try either. Next time for sure! -they do take credit card

We were all so pleased with this cute place! There was a little wait on a Saturday night but it was totally worth it! Yummy guacamole and chips appetizer. I ordered Horchata and it was just perfect. Chimichanga platter was delicious! Everything was super authentic and tasty. My sister enjoyed her quesadilla and my Dad loved the presentation of his platter. This restaurant is definitely busy but has great team work. We will definitely be heading back!

Cinco de Mayo is a solid choice for Ocean City NJ...right now because of COVID19 they are offering pickup only. Our large order for 10 was placed over the phone and ready on time 45 minutes later. I love that they include guacamole with almost all of their entrees. I had a Jalapeño and Chicken quesadilla, it was very good but it was a bit light on the protein. I had a piece of their carnitas burrito, again light on the protein and heavy on their rice. The prices are more than reasonable, I would definitely be willing to pay more for more protein. Their rice and beans are top notch while their hot sauce is homemade and spicy. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

Chicken enchiladas verde. Fiesta salad. Chips and guac, and two types of salsa!

This place was great. Awesome authentic food, nice people. All around very yummy and GREAT prices. Got all of this for 27 dollars. That's less than what one meal costs on the boardwalk at some places.

If you are looking for delicious, homemade Mexican food, Cinco de Mayo is the place to go. This is by far the best Mexican spot in Ocean City. Service is very friendly and fast, and the dishes are loaded with fresh ingredients. A hidden gem on West Street, we stopped by for lunch. Before long the tables were filled and the food was flowing out of the kitchen - amazing fragrant and sizzling plates. I had the Pollo a la Mexicano - a dish of chicken, fresh tomatoes, onions and jalapeños. The rest of the crew had tacos and quesadillas. The menu was friendly for both young and old, spicy and mild, locals and vacationers. We will certainly be going back for more!

Place is bottom tier Mexican. Had high expectations as my aunt recommended the place, disappointed to say the least. However the staff was very friendly. Would recommend the burrito. The quesadillas and fajitas were very mid. The place was packed so maybe they were rushed.

Good food. Great prices. But don't believe them when they say the guac is fresh. It arrived at the table 2 min after ordering it.

There was a difficult language barrier while speaking on the phone as it was strictly spanish. Not only that, but staff seems to be very negligent and distracted while on duty having their backs turned seemingly doing nothing as it was not busy. I could not understand/hear what they were saying behind the counter, they need to speak up. They were very unfriendly and raised their voice at me. Pt2/update; I was debating whether or not to post the last review as i have gone to Rojos for a long time standing and as far as i knew them it had been a respectable and very friendly business. I've had a little bit of everything on their menu and today i settled for a Quesadilla Al Pastor as it has always been one of my favorites or had been. For starters the meat was very smell and oily and i thought it was Choriza, not pork. Not only did it lack the correct meat it also lacked pineapple i could not find many pineapple pieces and it looked like onions. I called back to try and make sense of the confusion and the lady was very hostile and aggressive she raised her voice at me and did not offer any type of solution or apology for the whatever mistake had happened, she assured me it was pastor although it was appeared NOT to be. I understand it is the end of the day and the only other reason i could see the meat could be this minute and mutilated was if only it had been the leftovers from the day. Again, i understand the day is coming to an end but if the staff or cooks see that the chosen food is running low, id rather them be transparent about it than give me garbage leftovers from the bottom of the bin. At the very end of the day it brings me a lot of shame to have to post this about what i once believed to be a hidden gem in OC i hope they hire friendlier and more competent staff, the customer is ALMOST always right.

Someone suggested we try this place out since it has Mexican food and Italian food (Italian food being the easier option for someone who is picky about food). A couple owns the restaurant, the wife is Italian and the husband is Mexican. So, they serve both in their restaurant. The reason I'm giving this place three stars is because my friend, who is a picky eater asked for bread for the table since she saw other tables with it. The waitress told her that she had to have an Italian meal to get the bread. However, my friend got pizza and a salad so we were super confused. The waitress wasn't too happy with us either. I got the fajitas and they were just okay, I probably won't be back honestly. There also weren't many people in the restaurant on a Friday night and I feel like that goes to show the quality for the place.

It's literally part of the Pavilion at 8th and Atlantic, beach block. Hard to imagine a better location for foot traffic. There's a covered patio with AstroTurf that was perfect on the sunny, breezy Friday morning. Brenda's is billed as authentic Mexican cuisine and a neon sign out front reinforces "Breakfast." Therefore we settled on huevos rancheros and the breakfast tacos. Wow! again. Everything is cooked to order and was crazy fresh. I mean garden fresh. The onions were sweet and crunchy. The tomatoes were firm and juicy. The black beans were delicious. For both dishes the street taco sized tortillas were freshly grilled, crispy edges and delicate centers that didn't break despite being generously filled. We also got a side order of home fries that were kind of magical. No ads-ins, onions or pepper. No additional salt to be detected. Just small potatoes cut in halves and wedges, subtle, even seasoning throughout. Simple. Absolutely delicious. Our only regret was finding Brenda's on the last morning of our stay but we come down a couple times a summer and will absolutely put this on top rotation! Loved everything about our visit. Kudos to Brenda and her family.
