In the classes, we always start with a warm up. Then a discussion of the intent of the session. Usually there a a break to regroup on what the professor is observing, and discussion of points of emphasis. I also am impressed with all my training partners, especially higher belts i have worked with, having open discussions of what is working, effective and not. Of course the professors are always available for questions and clarification. On a personal note, I am very active 60 year old. I found my core strength is improving and other areas in need of strength and conditioning are exposed for me to work on. I try go get to classes 15-30 minutes early just to loosen up.

I tried to have a conversation with the owner about this in the midst of physical rehabilitation for myself and the guy squared me over on my payments, and made sure despite a cancellation that he juiced me for that extra $100 dollars on the way out the door. It's a family thing, it seems. I sent the owner an e-mail venting frustration and he sent me a 3rd grade response pretending to not understand what happened. Looks like membership is declining. Good luck working around the goofy hours and paying an incredibly unreasonable price for no professional instruction, with trash level amenities besides a leather punching bag.

He found it. A terrific and caring staff . . . confidence and encouragement. Soon the staff as asking m why I didn't try it . . . I was an older parent, in my mid 50s, who had not worked out in years, was overweight and out of shape, and had a bad back and arthritis to boot. I thought they were crazy, but their gentle encouragement, and my desire to get healthier made me give it a try . . . And the change was incredible. I am 30 pounds lighter . . . my arthritis, which used to affect my knees terribly, is much less a problem . . . I feel better and more energized . . . And was given the ok to start working out again. Despite my injuries. My personal trainer Alyssa is fantastic. Knowledgeable and so helpful. Great personality.
