My daughter has been going to CGA now for a year. What I love most is this academy's owner coached girls who were part of the Olympics years ago. I also love how they have competition teams. The gym is huge and has tons of space. You can see all the girls working on different techniques (I.e. tumble, bars, balance beams, etc). The ages range from 2 year-olds to high school. I really enjoy watching my daughter do the activities and grow as the year has past. My only complaint is they do the same thing over and over for the entire year. It's the same obstacle courses and activities. I know for younger kids they have to do it over and over. However, I feel things can be different and they can incorporate different activities and not the same exact courses and plan every single week. My daughter started at 2 years old and went for 30 minutes one day a week, four times a month. We originally had her in twice a week but we were always missing one of the days so we took her out. She now goes for 45 minutes a session one day a week, four times a month. She is now 3 years old (about to turn 4), and they are doing the exact same thing they did in the first year. However, now 15 additional minutes are added on for them to jump on this long trampoline and do rolls. At times I feel my daughter gets bored and I notice her wondering off and not paying attention. I like CGA and feel they have potential but I don't like that for younger kids it doesn't seem like they do anything different and it's the same thing over and over. I'm getting bored watching them at times. I'm going to keep my daughter in gym and inquire when things will begin to progress. I certainly know it can be a good school as I've seen the mid and older girls do well. I've also talked to other parents who said there daughters have been going since they were young so I know it will pay off. It's just a slow start. read more
