She had appointments and procedures scheduled every day for a week, and being able to stay so near the hospital was great! I was blown away with RMH! They have thought of and provided everything a family could need while away from home whether for a short term or a long term stay. The house can serve over 170 families, is clean and inviting, and has the happiest staff around. We were met with smiles and encouragement at every turn. The rooms are well outfitted and in good repair. There are activities throughout the day for both parents and children. We used the arts and crafts room, the toy room, the indoor playground, the outdoor playground, the exercise room, the library, and the laundry area. My granddaughter loved the therapy dogs that came to visit. We were served lunch and dinner each day and breads and cereals for breakfast. There was a large family kitchen area that was fully stocked if you wanted to cook your own meal. All of this was provided at no cost to the family. After experiencing this place with my family, I can tell you that I will be an avid supporter of RMH and the services provided to families with children needing medical attention. This is truly love in action.

Their purpose is to help families not be worried and stressed as their child is receiving care down there. Lately it's more trying to get a room in there and since we have been staying there, they have built on. They now have 177 rooms I just don't understand how they can say that they're trying to help! So much for FAMILY STAYS!

I, unfortunately waited till…read morepractically the last minute and reached out to see if they (Brewhaus) would be able to make something special for our pup! Without hesitation Lisa responded via Facebook and shared some photos of what they can offer unless I had something in mind for them to do. Talked to Lisa this past Wednesday, August 5th (I believe, if not Thursday, August 6th). Lisa was beyond helpful and welcomed my idea for my Mr Sweet Face. It was Mr Sweet Faces's Happy Gotcha Day (August 10th) and wanted to celebrate our boys special day with him. I can't thank you all enough for the amazing job you all did with short notice and the fact you all were closed on a typical Monday. You can't beat the pricing let alone what they do as a company and where the proceeds go too!! I will definitely be a returning customer let alone passing all this great information over to friends and family! Thank you Brewhaus for making my little Eli's special day

Upon walking in you get the feel of a cozy gift shop and bakery combined. There is some pretty awesome dog decor all around. So much to see... there are all kinds of gifts and goodies from local vendors around the perimeter walls. How about some local honey or chocolate for you, and an adorable bowtie for your pet?! Then there is the real star, the dog biscuits. They are handmade from spent grains (at the end process of beer brewing) from many local breweries. Each bag lists what brewery the spent grains are from, and the tag names the staff member that made them! Who could forget to mention that the whole purpose of this business is non for profit. They employ special needs adults, and do programs with special needs teens! Everyone here was very kind and helpful. The final high point for me personally, of course, is the human treats! They have a baker who is very talented. I took home a maple oat scone, which was delicious! This is a great place to indulge for yourself, your pet, and find some great gifts for any occasion while supporting a good cause and shopping local!!!

Cincinnati is incredibly lucky to have an organization of this caliber providing services in our community. Led by Executive Director Arlene Nolan, the Drop is focused on providing high quality services to its residents. They've made tremendous changes over the past few years, improving the quality of meals, offering alternative meals to accomodate dietary restrictions, and remodeling the living quarters to accommodate the feedback from residents. You may have known the Drop was there, but did you know they are the only place in Cincinnati that doesn't turn people away? Clients can enter intoxicated, suffering from mental illness, or just in need of a place to stay, and they'll find shelter here. There is an entire bunk room dedicated to housing veterans and working individuals who need help getting back on their feet. What you may not know is that the Drop provides intensive case management services for its residents. While individuals can just come to the Drop for shelter, all clients have the opportunity to participate in recovery, mental health, and other services to help find permanent housing. If you're not convinced, call the Drop Inn Center and ask to hear some of their data -- it will below you away. So how can you help? 1. Donate supplies. Check out their website to find out what they need most. 2. Donate money. Like everyone else, they're trying to cut expenses without cutting services. The Drop serves a vulnerable population that's already had services cut in so many other places. Help make sure it doesn't happen here too. 3. Visit. There are residents here who are desperate for someone to talk to, to tell their story to, to interact with. You don't have to do anything... just show up and listen. If you want to learn more, call Arlene and she'll make sure you know everything you ever needed to know. This is an incredible asset to our city providing ESSENTIAL services to thousands of individuals each year. We all need to do our part to make sure those services will always be available to people who need them.
